The propagandists’ clarion call to war…

From the Daily Reckoning:

The Attack on the U.S. Dollar and Energy Needs

“It’s bad enough that the Middle East has us over a barrel of oil thanks to our continued dependency on access to its huge reservoirs of crude, but largely unknown to most Americans, the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) and the Islamic Development Bank have a long-term goal of replacing the U.S. dollar as the reserve currency for world trade.

In March the Iranians will open an Iran Oil Bourse that will trade oil and products in the Euro, not the dollar. They will not be alone in pegging their nation’s currency to the Euro. Syria already does and Venezuela, another major oil producer, has announced plans to do so as well.”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“This is extremely bad news for the United States and for the West in general. While Americans focus on the shooting war in Iraq, we are in an even more serious economic war with an axis that spreads from South America to the Middle East. Bear in mind that many South American nations have been electing Socialist governments and that some Middle Eastern nations have flirted with socialism for decades. The Baathist Party in Saddam’s Iraq is an example of this.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

“The strategy is there for anyone to see. Control the oil and eliminate the U.S. dollar as the world’s currency of choice. The Islamic-Socialist coalition is well on its way to putting a choke-hold in the New York Mercantile Exchange and London’s International Petroleum Exchange, currently the world’s leading commodity markets for energy. Jonsson calls it “the currency bomb.â€?”

~~~~~~~~~
And the capper, the call to nuke Iran – before they nuke us of course.
“America is at a critical crossroads for its financial and energy policies and, so far, it appears to be making some very bad choices. It seems to this observer that it is depending heavily on its military strength to threaten and/or transform the Middle East. That option may prove to be an illusion if Iran is permitted to become a nuclear power.”
~~~~~~~~~

Everywhere I look these days I see and hear the media beating the drums for war with increasing frequency and intensity. Throughout the media one finds continual use of wartime terminology and warlike thinking, as demonstrated by the DR article, to wit: the ATTACK on the dollar, the currency BOMB, economic WAR with an AXIS. Here we find that even the economic reports, normally devoid of such political fear mongering, increasingly laced with wartime propaganda. This can mean only one thing – war is imminent.

Sometime ago I found a reference in a VNN forum posting that referenced a book written by Jacques Ellul on the subject of propaganda. As I have always been interested in the subject my curiosity was peaked, so I had the local library pick up a copy. After reading about half the book despondency has overtaken me. Generally speaking, I am loath to use movie metaphors to illustrate real life situations, but this 1962 book, pretty much describes the chimerical Matrix Americans currently inhabit. Virtually everything Americans believe in is a fantasy propagated by the media. Whether it is news, movies or talk down at the local bar, it is all a fantastic web of illusion spun by the propaganda masters.

.

If you have any beliefs that you understand what is happening in the world, that you are making your own decisions or that you have an original thought, then this book should dispel any and all illusions you might hold in this regard. Ellul’s book is more about the philosophy of propaganda then the nuts and bolts of its operation. It is why propaganda exists and how and why it works so effectively within the frame of the human condition. The first surprise the book held for me was in the function of propaganda. Like many people, I thought propaganda was intended to change peoples minds, to alter their basic beliefs; yet while this is a part of propaganda, Ellul points out that the main function of propaganda is not to change minds but to invoke action. The main goal of propaganda is to motivate the individual to take action and this motivation is accomplished through the commonly held beliefs of the group, beliefs instilled by the propagandists.

Can you see this principal at work in the propaganda for the expansion of war? Do you understand that you are being called to action that, at the very least, will support the criminals fomenting this coming the war? I see it in my daily life, I hear many talk about how evil Muslims are and how they must be stopped, never bothering for a moment to ask how or why this “stopping” might be accomplished. Worse, the people spouting this nonsense do not have the slightest idea about the true nature of the situation they are being called on to support. Nor are they aware of the people whose murder they are called on to support. These are the mass men who simply parrot the propaganda they have been immersed in since birth by the media ringmaster.

Another point Ellul makes that shook my very soul was the idea that in a technological society, propaganda is a necessity and in fact it is the people themselves who demand propaganda. Ellul points out that technological society insulates the individual and the overwhelming confusion of the technological society creates the need in man to be comforted, a need for a feeling of belonging, of importance in a world where he is in fact, quite unimportant. This need in man provides the basis for his beliefs and it is propaganda that is used to fulfill that basic need. When the bovina call for war and support that war with actions, whatever those actions might be, all are motivated by the propaganda put out by the jews whom I have in the past referred to as the “ringmaster”. Here is a clever story, one that might be considered counter-counter propaganda. Here the propagandist give the impression that the Army is deciding whether or to not to run a propaganda campaign, as if the jews had not already done the job for them.

The most recent revelation I discovered in Ellul’s book is that propaganda by its very nature suspends and destroys the critical thought process. Once man has become effectively propagandized, he no longer holds the ability to make his own decisions; he must rely on propaganda to make those decisions for him. Thus we find that the decision to pursue policies that may well engender another world war is becoming almost universally accepted among the herd. This is the situation we face when we try and communicate our views with such people; we are trying to counter the comforting propaganda in which these people have been immersed throughout their entire life.

This situation calls to mind a conversation I once had with a very bright individual. The gentleman to whom I refer was in his mid-eighties when I spoke with him; he held a doctorate in sociology granted in the early forties. The story about his attempt at living among the Negro for the purpose of writing his doctoral dissertation was quite enlightening. He asked the professor to change the topic of his dissertation after two weeks, saying that the Negro was just too violent to live with – and remember this was in 1940! But what really stuck with me was his story about the beginning of WWII. He stated that just prior to December 7th you could walk into any bar and openly debate the obvious wartime policies being mounted by the Roosevelt administration. In 1940 the average bar patron could openly discuss obvious American support for war as demonstrated by the lend lease support of wartime material being supplied to Britain. With a drink in hand, the patron could call Roosevelt a lair for the neutrality platform he used to help win his election. In fact everything pertaining to war was pretty much open for discussion whether for or against the coming war.

This gentleman then related how dramatically the situation changed literally overnight. After December 7th all discussion ceased. He stated, “If you were to walk into the very same bar on December 8th and say anything in opposition to the war you would have, at the very least, been punched in the nose and immediately thrown out of the bar on your ear”. In a very short period of time any able bodied male not rushing down to enlist was viewed suspiciously as either a coward or even a potential traitor. Thus the attack on Pearl Harbor was the propaganda catalyst that resulted in the American bovina rushing into action. To this day the average participant of that war still holds the fundamental beliefs that propaganda instilled for support of that war. Such is the immense power propaganda holds over the mass man. Rare was the individual like GL Rockwell who realized and admitted their error in supporting that fratricidal war.

Like December 7th, September 11th was a clarion call to war, but unlike December 7th the attack on the trade towers did not create the break point in the public mind as did the attack on Pearl Harbor. Unlike the attack on Pearl Harbor, the attack on the trade towers was not an attack on the military defense of the country and it did not do anywhere’s near sufficient damage to engender the anger and animosity that Pearl Harbor did towards motivating the bovina to action. As the Zionist American Government mires more and more American military resources in the Middle East and as more and more questions are raised about September 11th, that attack is rapidly fading as a rallying cry to war. Therefore I believe the Zionist American Government will have to create another far more intense rallying call. To give this rallying cry the proper gravity, to make this an unquestioning call for support so overwhelming that any question of it will result in any protestor being punched in the nose and thrown out on his ear, will require an attack that will cause real damage and pain to the US.

The attack on the trade towers was perceived by many to be confined to a small and rather insignificant group of the population, furthermore the attack was located in an area most people consider to be somewhat foreign to the rest of the country. The next attack, designed to create the same attitudes as the attack on Pearl Harbor, will by necessity have to contain many of the same features. However due to a different mentality, the military defense aspect of this attack will be unnecessary. Just prior to WWII there were Civil War veterans who were still alive to tell their stories and many men had participated in the first world war just over twenty years before. Little boys reenacted the military expansion into the wild west, while it may have been cowboys and Indians it was always the US Calvary who rode in for the rescue. Such attitudes combined with the heavy industrial and isolationist aspect of 1940 America lent itself to a far more military minded American in the 1940s. Today the average American is a consumer and as a consumer their first interest is in the consumer goods that make up the focus of their interests. While few may become upset about a remote American military installation being attacked overseas, virtually everyone would howl should their consumer goods be cut off and there is no better way to halt that flow of goods then by curtailing access to the product most fundamental to the creation and supply for those consumer goods – oil.

I recently read a report by Ken Walsh http://www.ken-welch.com/ and while the report itself reeks of fear mongering propaganda it does make what I feel is a valid point. Mr.Walsh has surmised by various rather outlandish methods that there is to be a nuclear attack on Houston Texas. While the bizarre methodology used to arrive at this conclusion is without substance, the concept is indeed quite valid. Consider for a moment what propaganda-stoked attitudes such an attack might engender. First off as Houston is a major port for the importation of oil, the attack would undoubtedly be played up as an attack on American oil resources, this would tie in neatly with the idea that the Middle East is the enemy of American oil interests. Secondly that attack would be on middle America as opposed to a jewish enclave like New York, a place for which few people outside the jewish community can effectuate any empathetic feelings towards. Thirdly, for the Zionist at least, there will be no real loss as Texas is viewed as flyover country, much like the entire region of western America was viewed during the nuclear testing that took place in that region throughout the last half of the last century. By the way those nuclear tests proved conclusively that America could indeed withstand, survive and recover from a nuclear attack. Finally considering the minority population that dominates in that region, a nuclear attack would eliminate most of that problem post-haste and definitely impose a chilling effect on the current massive inflow of illegal aliens. As I stated in another post I believe that the Zionist American Government may be testing the brakes on their policy of unrestricted immigration. While the jews publically stand for open boarders, thereby allying themselves with minority supporters, what better covert, non-political, deception to apply that braking action then implanting a nuclear wasteland in one of the primary supporting regions for such immigration? Of course any such attack would also give the politicians an immediate excuse to tightly close American borders, should that be their desire.

It is difficult if not impossible to second guess actual Zionist American Government policy. What is presented to us is a mask of deception, lies that promote certain agendas; those deceptive lies have little to do with the ZAG’s true intent. We are all battered about by propaganda so intense that we can no longer separate fact from fiction. We all live in a fantasy world created by the propagandist and upheld by our own preconceived misconceptions. According to Jacques Ellul, it is the nature of the beasts for which there is no solution. Time permitting, I will write more about Mr. Ellul’s book. In the meantime should anyone want to more information the book is “Propaganda – The Formation of Men’s Attitudes by Jacques Ellul, Vintage Books a division of Random House, ISBN 0-394-71874-7. I highly recommend that everyone reading this post get a copy and study it, just make sure you keep your firearms out of reach until you’re finished.

Arch Stanton

      Great synopsis Arch. With all those Katrina refugees in Houston I won’t miss it if its gone. Look at the bright side – glow in the dark gardeners.

      A very good read of the Ellul`s basics of propaganda, Arch. White Americans fit the bill perfectly. They are about as brain-washed and dumbed down as they can be. It`s their programmed mindset, constantly reinforced and poisened by additional nonsense on a dailey basis, that we are up against. Additionally, with the media, the money spigots, and most of the levers of power in Jewish hands, we are dealing with a de facto Jewish colony called, America. The warped popular mindset of the average white bunny is our most difficult problem. Trying to reason with them, as Birdman Bryant has so well observed, and as I have experienced many times, is like trying to communicate with a harnessed ox! We not only have to save ourselves in the coming breakdown of the system, but we somehow have to save the dumb bunnies from themselves, as well. If we can build alternative media and cadre in time, we may be able to front-run the milk herd, when it starts to stampede. Meanwhile, keep casting those seeds of doubt in the pasture!
