If you make contact, realize that you are revealling your information and leaving a footprint. They can use this to hit you in return. My proposal is to confirm that these are indeed the e-dresses of offendors, then, hit them by proxy. I can send them bulk loads of coupons and clog their inboxes. I have no further ideas.

I wouldn’t go pining the blame on these particular ip’s just yet. Typically these ddos attacks involve a bit of sophistication like breaking into unsuspecting computers, installing software and then using these burglarized machines to launch coordinated attacks on victim sites.
These ip’s you listed may not be the originators of the attack.

Block the entire ip range at the server level in VNN’s domain control panel. That should stop it at least til they find another server.

I wouldn’t DOS them back as the admins may not know what’s going on and may not have a hand in it. No reason to attack them unless there is evidence the companies are behind it which I find unlikely.
The Arizona company has a phone number that someone could call if they are in that part of the country. However, it appears that that server is actually located in Norfolk, Virginia. (Large U.S. Naval presence in Norfolk.)

If Alex or Varg can get into the admin control panel for the VNNF domain, not the vbulletin but the domain, there should be an IP Deny option.
enter the first two sets of numbers from each ip and it will block the whole range from that server. This might halt the attacks.

That Brinkster IP was a recent sign-up to Podblanc. I just looked to try and recall who, but could not find him– though several new members have in the past 48 hrs or so been quite careful to have dumped their browser cache, thus ensuring- at least temporarily- that I cannot see their IP number. I noted who those persons are. Also banned the IPs you stated, OTPTT.

If the attack is coming from just a couple of IP addresses, it’s just a DOS attack, not a DDOS attack. If the source address IP is the same as the destination, it’s probably a smurf attack. The machine IPs listed above would be acting as smurf amplifiers. Either way the machines involved are compromised and the data listed bears no relation to the true origin of the attack.
