Before the cigarette came to be the dominant way of smoking in the twentieth-century united states there was a time when the male rite of passage of going away to college included taking up pipe smoking. To the “collegiate” between the jew wars a pipe was as much a part of campus life as a straw hat and raccoon coat. When time came for saying good-byes it was likely to be a sentimental moment enfused with a good deal of smoke, such as in this old college song:
Come, seniors, come and fill your pipes,
Your richest incense raise;
Let’s take a smoke, a parting smoke,
For good old by-gone days!
While the pipe as masculine bonder became part of american college campuses in the years after the jew war 1, its debut as a central component of men-only sociability came in the latter years of the 1600s as tobacco became popular in england. Married men with wives who allowed no smoking in their houses had three choices. They could not smoke, leave the house and light up in the outdoors, or persuade their wives to allow them a space in the house (or in its immediate proximity) in which smoking would be permitted. These became a feature of many homes and were known as “smoking rooms.” Because some had stone floors (for safety) they were also called “stone parlors.”
Men who did not have the good fortune to have a place of their own for smoking soon found hospitable locales removed from their homes in the form of coffeehouses. In the Spectator (No. 568) Charles Addison wrote of what it was like in a coffeehouse in 1714: “I was yesterday in a coffee-house not far from the Royal Exchange, where I observed three persons in close conference over a pipe of tobacco; upon which, having filled one for my own use, I lighted it at the little wax candle that stood before them; and after having thrown in two or three whiffs amongst them, sat down and made one of the company. I need not tell my reader, that lighting a man’s pipe at the same candle is looked upon among brother-smokers as an overture to conversation and friendship.”

Well, thanks to the feminization and homo-ization of our society tobacco smoking is now regarded as some kind of a crime. Is there anything more pathetic than seeing a bunch of employees huddled around the front door of their place of employment of a cold winter day stealing a few drags off their cigarettes, like a bunch of outcasts?
Since smoking has been all but banned, I’m seeing more and more over-medicated fatties waddling into walk-in clinic. People certainly don’t look any healthier to me. Those god damned do-gooder activists are responsible for so much misery in this country….Truth be told, I would like to wring their fucking necks.

Anyone members of the National Alliance here? Maybe chime in with perceptions of how the organization is doing. I check in every week to American Dissident Voices and notice that the last two broadcasts have been a copy and paste effort directly from some of Pierce’s old writings.
I have always felt that there should be contributions (of the non-monetary kind) coming from the membership ranks in maintaining the organization to the greatest fitness and competency level possible. I think many would be able to contribute to regular weekly broadcasts that are original and new.

I’ve been TV free for almost 15 years now.
There’s a lot of howling and lamenting over the Jew media but, for some reason, the complainers still invite the vile and unworthy into their living rooms to subject themselves and their familes to the poisonous propaganda. My very soul was rankled and assaulted by what I saw over a decade ago, so I can only but imagine what it must be like watching Jewtube today. Turn your back on it all and you’ll be better off.

Torrence, what’s the point of any more ADV broadcasts? White men who are racially conscious know what’s going on, they don’t need some Great Leader to lecture them from a compound in West Virginia every Saturday morning on the radio. The old Dr. Pierce broadcasts were great but it’s time to take this struggle to the next level. If there are any Whites around who still don’t “get it” by now, they never will, so to hell with them.

The reason I’m pissed off at those White do-gooder activists is because they do a lot more harm than good. Charity is bad medicine.
Take the Carrie Nation types who got a Constitutional amendment to ban the sale and transport of alcohol. Prohibition gave rise to organized crime and made law-breakers out of citizens who were otherwise law-abiding. The morality crusaders got the brothels closed, but that forced the prostitutes out on the streets, where they are at the mercy of pimps and dangerous johns. The anti-smoking crybabies have pressured millions of people to kick the habit, but now those same people are eating more, getting fatter and having other health problems like diabetes instead.
The Ralph Nader types who wanted airbags (which have taken off front-seat passengers’ heads and poked out eyeballs), the diversity-mongers, the idiots pushing Creationism in public schools, the prudes who want to get rid of smut….Beware of the professional activist and the moral crusader. Their heads are up their asses. Not once do they even consider the unforseen consequences of their activism. They are too busy being carried away with their false sense of self-importance.

Tim – You are absolutely right. But ongoing education is necessary in any human endeavor. The ADV broadcasts are (or were) a small part of that.
It (education and study) is not a substitute for anything, but a supplement to the overall effort. Productive involvement is one reason I had suggested that membership make some contribution other than ‘tuning in to the Great Leader’. The NA membership are consumers, not contributors or producers.
Also, the Great Leader neither lives in nor broadcasts from West Virginia, but ‘leads’ from a command center in the comfort of his familial home in Cleveland. The front-line commander is ‘Leader in abstentia’.

In defense of Carrie Nation, you have to consider what would happen to a family in those days if the breadwinner were to become an alcoholic. Women were not supposed to work outside the home esp. after marriage. And, the family might include five or more children. No welfare existed (except private charity, which was quite limited).
So the guy trashes himself on booze, and what could the wife do? Take in sewing? The neighbors’ laundry? If she were educated, maybe she could teach French or music lessons. Most likely: Take her oldest son out of school to do farm chores or similar labor. Face it: she would be looking at brutal poverty, and her children’s lives would be pretty much ruined.
What I find lately is that most adults don’t drink. Commuting home is considered too dangerous to be tipsy; whether you take the subway, train or drive, you need your wits about you. If you work in an urban area, being drunk will possibly invite a robbery or other criminal attack. If you drink with work associates, you also risk making an “insensitive” remark and being fired. Everyone is terrified of getting pulled over for some careless traffic infraction, and losing their license and then maybe their jobs as a consequence, too.
The worst risk from booze is the fact that it is highly addictive. Almost all social drinkers become alcoholics. College binge drinkers will be full-blown alcoholics at 28 — without exception.
One time I asked a doctor if alcohol caused cancer. She told me that alcohol does so much immediate damage to every major organ system of the body that doctors don’t even bother to weigh it as a cancer risk.
But aside from health risks, the worst result of drinking is that the alcoholic cannot function as a parent or family member. Alcohol destroys a person’s ability to relate in a healthy way to other people. All relationships are based on a complicated balance of intimacy and respect for privacy; the drunk is pretty much a bull in a china shop. Or a truck careering around without any brakes.
Alcohol destroys ambition; that is, the alcoholic doesn’t have to work hard to gain a feeling of happiness, he can just pour himself a few. Frankly, my suspicion is that too many Whites were satisfied with the politically status quo even throughout the anti-White movement which started in the 1960s; after all, they could just get themselves “comfortably numb” after work every Friday night instead of running out to political meetings.
Alcoholics don’t mature. They just stay frozen at the age at which they became an alcoholic. Much of our maturing process is the result of pain and dissatisfaction with our lives; the alcoholic just drinks all that pain away, instead of learning from it.
Carrie was in the right. Who needs booze?

Now I will continue to alienate all readers by taking on smoking.
Think about this fact: Runners (even young runners) cannot smoke. They don’t just stop smoking because their coach tells them to quit — they cannot smoke AND run. Smoking in fact destroys your ability to run (which is a natural human activity). So you cannot argue that smoking is any way healthy.

Overweight is NOT caused by insufficient tobacco consumption as has been suggested on this thread. You can consume huge amounts of calories, and not gain weight, as long as you are active enough to burn those calories.
Today people do not engage in sufficient physical activity. Every teenager has their own car. A 10-minute walk to the post office is deemed too much of an effort. Physical work is looked down upon. Demands of work minimize the leisure, which might better be available for sports. And, the result of all this inactivity is flabby muscles and problem weight.

Drugs.
As Whites, we need to get every White off of drugs. JMO: drug abuse is a political issue.
Too much of our music acts as infomercials for drug abuse, even (esp?) heavy metal.
These agents upset the natural chemistry of the brain. From shrooms to crack, our young people need to know that the dangers, including risk of death, far outweigh the brief sensation of “high.”

Jews can be ‘charitable’ to advance their causes because they have the over-abundance of wealth siphoned off from their worker-bee non-Jews.
But, I agree that there are severe moral and character flaws among white people. Hyper-individualism, loss of collective consciousness, excessive competition, materialism and so on have given us the existential circumstances we deserve.

The drinking age should be lowered back to 18. At 18, you can get married, have children, drive a car, go into the military, live on your own, etc…But you can’t have a glass of beer???!?!?!??!? As a result of that unconstitutional, Federally-imposed law, booze is a “forbidden fruit”, young adults rebel against the law and take their drinking underground, they attend binge parties and drink to excess. Many of those young White adults get seriously hurt, even killed.
All of that unpleasantness could be easily avoided by respecting 18 year olds as full-fledged adults and leaving them alone. But professional, money-making activist groups like MAAD, along with the power-mad Federal government, will not leave them alone. And so the underground binge drinking among 18 to 20 year-olds, the car accidents, the sexual assaults and the alcohol poisoning will all continue, because the 21 year old drinking laws make the activists and the bureaucrats feel good about themselves.
Self-control is important, but it cannot be legislated. Any attempts to do so always end in disaster and create more problems than they sought to eliminate.
Why don’t Americans want to be free anymore???????

As far as drugs (mind-altering/mood-altering, etc.), alcohol, and smoking are concerned, they are mere tools of the kike, pushed and promoted by them, for one reason: to destroy the White race. Adolf Hitler did not smoke or drink and used drugs only to control pain and administered only by a physician. He realized the disasterous consequences of these addictions and tried his best to warn our people.
It’s strange that smoking commercials on tv were banned in 1970, but not alcohol. While millions have quit smoking over the years, millions more have lit up despite the ever-increasing restrictions imposed on those that smoke, along with the ever higher additional cost and tons of medical information against it. Alcohol, on the other hand, has been around much longer and I find nothing good about it. It’s destroyed countless families and individual lives and is an expensive and unessesary burden to the nation—as is smoking.
Illegal, mind-altering drugs, have been around a long, long time, but it was the sixties that the kikes really began pushing them hard. I remember clearly in junior high and high school, at that time, when we would sit in class and watch these so-called documentaries of protesters chanting “make marijuana legal” platitudes and other such destructive drivel. All under the guise of “freedom”, of course. At the time I didn’t fully comprehend all the forces of who were behind what was being said and the logic of it. I just instinctively knew that it was somehow wrong……that it was not something good for my country. I found out the real deal a little later after I joined the military. That REALLY opened my eyes to the racial reality of the world. There is no such thing as a “War on Drugs” being waged by the government. If anything, the government is in the business of importing drugs TO America. It’s why we’re in Afghanistan right now. It’s part of the reason why our Southern border is wide open, (courtesy of the U.S. Government). I’ts the primary reason why we’ll have a drug problem till hell freezes over or we found a new nation. It’s a huge money-maker for the kike, and the government, that pulverizes White lives in the process. Simple as that.
Hey, torrence: I like how you talk. Keep at it. As far as the NA is concerned, I’ve been reading or listening to their ADV broadcasts for many years and will continue to do so. However, I do miss Dr. Pierce’s unique insight into the past and to modern-day events and the down-to-earth way in which he was able to conceptualize his thoughts and convey his message. Not many can match that. I think that’s part of their problem today. Dr. Pierce’s absence will probably be their ultimate downfall. I do hope, however, that someone can come in a fill the good Dr.’s shoes and right their ship. Time will tell, I guess.

True, Der Führer did not smoke, at least in part due to the fact that his lungs were damaged by a British mustard-gas attack in WWI. Nor did he drink, possibly because his father Alois might have been an alcoholic. He set a good example, but those were personal choices.
What we have now is a giant Federal bureaucracy dedicated to making sure that there will always be lots of illegal drugs for that bureaucracy to eliminate, as well as lots of “terrorists” to fight. The “War on drugs/poverty/terror” is just an excuse for ZOG to keep itself big and bloated at taxpayers’ expense.
All I want from the government is 1) A decent national highway and rail system, 2) An optional national health care and retirement system (if you want it, it’s there. If not, that’s fine too.) and 3) A small but vigilant border guard to keep out the beaners and other non-human waste products.
No more Bernie Mac or Fannie Mae, no more Department of Education or Homeland Security, no more EPA, IRS or Federal Reserve, no more full-time military or military industrial complex, no more “war” on anything, no more drug czars or any other kind of czars, no more cops, FBI, BATF or Congress, no more property taxes, slums, ghettoes, prisons, overcrowded courtrooms, suburban sprawl, student loans, collection agencies, offshoring of American jobs or foreign aid. Just peace of mind and the freedom to be left alone.
So what are you waiting for, Whitey?

A couple of minor social/economic warning signs in my area:
–Grocery stores which used to be open 24 hours a day have begun closing at 11:00PM. This is a city which does not have a declining population. I’ve asked some store personnel why they are now closing their doors at night, and have not gotten any clear answer. If they actually know why, they aren’t talking.
–One major convenience store chain has “made the difficult decision”, in its own words, to convert all of its fuel pumps to Prepay or Credit Card Only operation. Supposedly this is due to increasing theft of fuel in the form of “drive-offs”.
Maybe I’m reading too much into this, but it looks like a crumbling economy and the increasing lawlessness that goes with it–pressure from above (Jewish banking) and below (nigger and spic crime).

Trying to advance the idea that the anti-tobacco movement is somehow connected to feminism and the promotion of homosexuality is a real stretch! In my opinion, one of the few positive things that has come out of our society in the past couple of decades is the banning of smoking in public places. Why should I be forced to participate in your filthy habit just because I am sitting near you? Every person that I have known who has gotten cancer was a smoker and died a horrible, slow, painful death! Now, if you think that this is a “macho” way to go, you are entitled to your opinion.
If white men are going to lift themselves out of their present quagmire, they are going to need to have strong bodies and strong clear minds. Habits such as the consumption of drugs (including tobacco) and alcohol serve the interests of our enemies by weakening us physically and mentally and enriching our enemies financially. I will ask you the question. Who do you think really controls the international tobacco and alcohol manufacturing companies?

Despite the fact that my very own Mother was a heavy smoker and died as a result of complications from lung cancer, my view on this topic is that it is a personal liberty issue and unless we want the government deciding to regulate every dot and tittle of our lives, and believe me – every one of us has something we do, eat, or drink which might not be entirely healthy for us if we do it to an excess – I have to come down on the side of smokers.
However, as Mr. Jackson says – smokers do not have the right to stink up the air that the rest of us have to breathe, and we have every right to demand that they be forced to take their habit outside. Breathing isn’t optional, smoking is.
So, as long as smokers respect the rights and wishes of non-smokers and show a little courtesy, I will fully support their right to smoke, even it if kills their dumb asses.

I don’t smoke and I don’t mind if anyone next me smokes. I’d rather have them lighting up a cigarette than farting. Now that’s really gross.
The only places that smoking should be banned is in an operating room or next to a large tank of liquid hydrogen. Everywhere else is fine with me.

For well over a hundred years scientists have been trying to find a “missing link” between the lowest human aboriginie and the highest ape. It would seem to me that the Bonobo fits the bill. It looks like some kind of pre-Australopithecus. It’s probably the tyranny of Jewish-inspired Political Correctness in the scientific community that prevents this creature from being studied or regarded as a missing link primate. Three quick comments:
One, Metzger’s buddy, Lone Wolf Wall Street, observed that Jews discover our weaknesses, make them illegal, and make all of the money from being middlemen.
Two, the NA is gone, with “membership numbers” down to pretty much single digits – literally, single digits. Yet, they will continue. Further, deponent sayeth not.
Three, torrence’s comments concerning Uncle Adolph’s masterwork are worthy of further comments. Torrence, for example, could do a podcast commentary on educational lessons found in The Book.
Covington had it right.
For the last seventy years, with the exception of Rockwell, self-identified “White Nationalism” has been the triumph of entertainment over effectiveness; personal entertainment over personal, much less political, effectiveness.
An educational moment presents itself, as we can all learn from the example of Edgar Steele.
And we should.

Concerning NA membership numbers, what exactly do you mean ‘literally, single digits’? Are we to understand (somewhat, though not entirely, comically) that ‘literally’ means, well, ‘literally’ as in less than 10? !!
I was told from two different sources that membership was between 50-100 and from another that it was lucky to be even 50. In any case, it’s all a tragedy from the time Pierce died when it was believed between 1500-2000. I cannot believe it is in the single digits, however. A source I consider reliable informs that erstwhile staff size of 5-7 full-time individuals is now less than one full-time
What is one lesson learned from all this? From Mein Kampf:
“If an organization is mechanically ordered from above, there exists a great danger that a once appointed leader, not yet accurately evaluated and perhaps none too capable, will from jealousy strive to prevent the rise of abler elements within the movement. The harm that arises in such a case can, especially in a young movement, be of catastrophic significance.”

The NA is dead; it exists only as a hollow shell.
Pierce went to great lengths to insure the NA never became anything more than his little Valhalla-In-The-Mountains. He went to great lengths to insure there was no chance of any sort of organization that so many people desperately sought from the NA, and that is a true, national political organization that would be raised from the ground up to be a true *ahem* national vanguard, as Rockwell dreamt of so often.
I don’t want to simply bash Pierce; I am the first to acknolwedge the good he did – quite a bit, for the time – but I am also the first to acknowlege the NA was simply a lightning rod that attracted the best of those who advocate White Nationalism, and insured they would never Do Anything with it – “anything” meaning, of course, anything politically effective.
It wasn’t designed to survive Pierce, and, practically, it didn’t.
Remember, Rockwell wanted a new national political party, built from the ground up, as a true national vanguard for the Race. He believed you could work in the System, to change the System – a bottom-up design.
Rockwell’s intellectual heir, Harold Covington, believes you must make yourself into the living foundation of a new nation – Rockwell, from the opposite end, from the top down in design.
The tools needed to do this are defined by VNN/F’s “Hugh,” in his “A Better World” thread.
The philosophy needed to define the organizational issues are to be found, of course, in Uncle Adolf’s masterwork; Book II simply inspires all who read it, as does, on a more esoteric level, “Imperium,” by Yockey.
Pierce is gone, and he’s not coming back. More’s the pity, for the Ideas he articulated attracted some first rate people, who would have built the political organization our Posterity requires, with, or without, Pierce.
That’s ok.
Covington’s Northwest Republic more than picks up the slack.
Incidentally, “literally” means “less than twenty.” If you include dues-paying members, less than ten.
There might be a tremendous opportunity for someone here.
Of course, they would have to embody the lightning, as well as the Sun, and be the carrier of lightning, and not merely a lightning rod.

Perhaps describing the world outside your window in 2050, and using examples from Uncle Adolf’s masterwork to illustrate how this better world came to be OUR Homeland, on OUR soil, might be an excellent place to start.

I agree – the NA is dead.
In regards to Pierce’s efforts through the NA, I will share insights I gained from an extended conversation enjoyed with an intimate of Dr. Pierce’s. He knew him well and expended much effort during WP’s last days in overseeing his care and in facilitating future treatment to the extent Pierce would allow. He was with Pierce during his final days.
Anyway, that was a question he discussed with Pierce: What did he want of the Alliance; what did he want to accomplish through it? You observe and conclude correctly. He expressly understood his model for the Alliance to be almost entirely educational. He wanted a vehicle to explain, instruct, and inspire. He sought to build an intellectual base for future developments extending the effort beyond learning and comprehending to applying and integrating. He specifically pointed out that he chose not to become politically or socially engaged beyond a necessary minimum. It was his fear that such a move would trip-wire the effort to shut him down.
He anticipated that following his death, there would be a transformation of the organization into engaging the public in more direct ways. You will remember how Pierce, in the last year of his life, allowed (or put up with) a public presence for the NA that was unprecedented. Billy Roper’s public demonstration in Washington, DC comes to mind. And his effort at creating expanded media formats would also have encroached the NA’s message into the public domain in a way that may have been threatening to some.
If we consider the NA Membership Handbook, it is clear as day that Pierce did indeed envision a viable organization that had size and depth far beyond what it was when he wrote the manual. He was gazing into the future, possibly with an eye of writing it to assist He who would come along to advance things to the next level.
Pierce was difficult to work with, refused to adequately delegate with confidence (which may have been a trait acquired through painful experience) and micro-managed excessively. He was not an Organizational man. (Mein Kampf discusses the roles of Leader, Organizer and Theoretician. Perhaps I’ll post on that later.)
I also need to second your point that the NA “wasn’t designed to survive Pierce”. That was something I brought up with him as one my greatest concerns the first time we met. I right out told him that I saw the NA as organizationally weak and under-developed. ‘Who is there to take over should something come of you?’, I asked. I have always felt that a true leader from the earliest moment sees it as a priority to develop and nurture a leadership class or individual to assume highest responsibility. Pierce was unable to do that; due either to his misdisposition or lack of suitable and available personnel.
It is in like-matters of the above that real present-day lessons can be learned from Pierce’s tenure. Identifying and improving on his deficiencies is where real progress could have been forthcoming following his death. Instead, the exact same model is being followed to this day. The NA operates in the comfort zone of the traditional routine, despite there being no return on the effort.

Ever notice how the foreign born Whites in the NBA excel? They were not subject for the most part to the constant Jewish bombardment of braiwashing Whitey about the the superority of the Black athlete. white kids naturally do not try out for basketball when they see all black teams on the gym floor. Mathews was in the forefront of the Northwest Republic, if at a marginally inchoate level, with his idea of ethnocommunities, the foundation of an intentional ethnostate.
We see the price he paid.
This is no less true for David Eden Lane, who could have been a great organizer of a series of enterprises linked into regional cooperatives, as living economic alternatives to the negative power of transnational corporations. As well, Lane would have developed local credit unions and creative business lending arrangements, with an eye on the inherent qualities of the loans made.
These, and potentially many other excellent ideas, died with the Order’s incarceration, and, in the case of Mathews, tragically, much worse.

New America is right, Dr. Pierce didn’t seem interested in forming a revolutionary movement that would have to fight in the streets and get its head bashed in. The National Alliance (not exactly an awe-inspiring name) was apparently meant to be a White gentlemen’s club where its members would get together once in a while and take votes on things.
But Pierce was part of the 1960s scene and should have been more in tune with the revolutionary spirit of those times. The Weathermen and the Black Panthers certainly were. Maybe if Pierce had written more pro-White action novels his fame and influence would have been greater. But as I’ve said before Leader-oriented movements seldom outlive their Leader and the present situation of the NA is proof of that.

Again, I find it necessary to say a few words about keeping dogs. I believe that this is a reliable, even necessary, first line of defense in protecting the home, easily on par with maintaining constant vigilance and following common-sense rules. Dogs truly can and do act as our eyes and ears (not to mention burglar-alarm, wake-up call, bodyguard, faithful companion, etc… ) and are cognizant of many things that are just above and below the realm of our senses.
Need I mention that, by-and-large, negroes are utterly terrified of anything that even remotely resembles a Staffordshire/”Pitbull”, Boxer, Rottweiler, Bulldog or Bull Terrier? IF you do not socialize your dog with negroes, your dog WILL NOT LIKE negroes! It is as simple as this.
Take your Brindle-coated ANYTHING for a walk and watch the nigs trip all over themselves to get out of your way.
Unfortunately, I’ve never seen a dog who was so adept at sniffing-out a jew…but, my Bismarck has proven to me time and time again that if I don’t like someone, instinctively he doesn’t like them and makes sure they maintain safe distance.
On top of this, raising a dog from just-weaned to adulthood is challenging and constantly tests ones patience, discipline, intelligence, intuition and problem-solving skills, among other virtues (think: an intelligent yet non-verbal child who never quite grows up.)
And, single guys: Ladies love a handsome or pretty dog.
oh, Don’t forget to take them out shooting so that they aren’t gun-shy when it’s time to do battle.

I don’t think Rockwell ever did, and he seemed none the worse for it!
The instant issue is why Pierce accomplished so little in terms of effectiveness, save for himself. I could see him moving to West Virginia, particularly back in the day, where he could play Country Gentleman all day, without fear of interference by actually having to Do Something politically, like, say, run for office SOLELY to get your ideas out there, and demonstrate to others that your ideas can be stated and defended in public.
The larger issue is not so much the errors and omissions of Pierce, but what he should DO if he was here today.
My guess is, he would follow the advice of VNN/F’s “Hugh,” dress like a respectable businessman, and stand for the issues in political forums, knowing he would be able to get the message out on a fairly consistent basis, and get a lot of favorable, free publicity for The Cause.
Oh, I’m sorry.
That’s what Rockwell did, and what Pierce should have done.

If my question of your residing in W.Va is inconsequential, then just answer it, because, after all, it’s inconsequential, you see. It shouldn’t matter.
I face a dilemma in further discussing our points of contention. I have to ask: “Is it worth my time? Is this discussion of benefit to anyone? Is the lasting impact on other readers negative and harmful or positive and helpful?’ After reading your last post, I’ve decided that we have entered into a non-productive effort and won’t much entertain your ideas further. If you find Pierce’s life effort wasted and of little value, then let be your appraisal.
I feel that WLP influenced the greatest number of people to adopt a racial nationalist view than any one else. For a number of reasons, he attracted more principled adherents than any other individual or organization. The NA was experiencing ongoing growth and expanding capabilities during the last years of his life. Why the demise of the NA is attributed to him is puzzling.
I just deleted half of my post because I don’t want to continue on this any further.
I acknowledge Commander Rockwell’s efforts and contributions, but his contributions are fewer and less lasting than was Pierce’s. Rockwell’s literary output was his greatest contribution.
I have started one of Covington’s trilogy books (can’t remember which one) at the request of a friend who is as impressed with it as you. I am not so impressed. To recommend this approach over all others when nothing has come of it is misguided as it is misleading. There has been no serious thought given to how this can be accomplished when the overwhelming resources of the present power edifice will oppose it. Yes, you can have a migration of White people there, but that White community will have little freedom to establish an independent society functioning differently to or at odds with the rest of the country.
Success in this struggle will be found when a steady and mighty stream of individual effort flows into a composite body of individuals (an organization) recognized as worthy, capable and trustworthy to guide the good will and abilities of the many in establishing a new order. That has not yet happened, but past heroes have taken up the challenge. That is what they will be remember for.
Give credit when and where credit is due.
Accentuate the positive and praiseworthy before delving into shortcomings and deficiencies.
Praise an individual’s effort and sacrifice before faultfinding.
Appraise the lasting good over the temporary bad.
Don’t discard the whole because of the part.
I always ask my self: ‘Has any lasting good come from this individual’s work? Would things be better had that individual done nothing at all?’

Credit yourself. You noticed it. Give this topic some thought and you can use it as a subject to discuss with people.
Some will say this doesn’t really matter. This is the principle most Jews will take. Ask them to do the same with their mythology and historical religion. If this is no big thing, then let them have Moses portrayed by a Negro or an Asian. The Bible informs that the ‘Covenant’ was made with the Abrahamic tribe – a racial lineage. For Christianity, one of the essentials for Jesus to be identified as the Messiah was that his lineage had to be proven to be Abrahamic. So, if the Christians aren’t troubled by Thor, let them not squeal seeing Jesus portrayed by a non-Abrahamic Negro or Asian. This is one approach you can use in discussing the film with people. But only do so if you have ear plugs within reach. The howling you’ll hear from demanding the same corruption of Judaism and Christianity may be deafening.
The mythologies of today were the religions of yesteryear. They provided the spiritual component of life for the times. Thor’s movie portrayal is spiritual desecration and degradation. The Jews are accomplishing the same thing with Christianity which represented the spiritual framework Europe lived under for over a millennium. Spiritual evisceration is the end stage in the destruction of a people. The hope, aspirations, motives and goals of life are destroyed. How that is clearly seen today!

Pierce was not a “boots in the street” leader and he never pretended to be. He led Whites in an ideological way, more than anything else.
As for the National Alliance, it isn’t “dead.” Weakened by Pierce’s death, yes, but not dead.

Thanks for the opportunity to clear up my understanding, and misunderstanding.
I did a lot more on VNN than simply critique Pierce, and praise Covington. The most casual review of my postings will reveal this. And, while often unpopular, I have a habit of being correct; whether it is the “White Zion” versus Northwest Republic thread, or the threads dealing with Kevin Alfred Strom, I was right, then, and I am no less correct, now.
I am not merely critiquing Pierce; my criticism of his Work is a matter of public record.
I am stating that WNism seems trapped in a Past that went nowhere, and seems quite comfortable there. Whether it is people who consider satin bedsheets and pillowcases as formal attire, or morbidly obese clowns who consider the dress of the NSDAP Cultural Moment, complete with ununiform uniforms, to be the apex of satorial elegance, the best you can say is (1) we manage to attract some really great people (“Geoff Beck,” “Lita from New York,” among others), and (2) we manage to lose them fairly quickly.
It is almost as if they were looking for something that supports the Race, something that embodies the Fourteen Words, and something that is worth living for. What they find resembles diamonds amidsts dung; Linder’s commentaries, “Hugh” of VNN/F’s thread dealing with “A Better World,” and enough raving lunatics that make one ask, “If this is what the cutting edge of WN commentary and analysis is, I’ll just turn on ESPN, and watch the world die.”
It’s almost as if we – and most other nominally WNist sites – are playing bait and switch with them.
Unlike the Rockwell – Pierce Era – pre-Internet, one thirty minute radio show a week – people now have thousands of choices, and diversions.
So, they look in what describes itself as a “Vanguard” – nice Piercian homage, that – and see the few diamonds require digging through far too much dung.
And they leave, and any hope of starting a Movement – much less a politically effective organization – dies in borning.
Pierce wasn’t a “boots in the street leader,” but he did nothing to support and develop the “boots in the street leader(s).” Names like Linder and White come to mind, and others come soon.
The Great Question that all Leaders MUST ask themselves is the Question they will be asked relentlessly by their Followers:
And THEN What?”
Essentially, you start with a Cause, develop a Movement, transform the Movement into specialized functions, and develop a new System, all, in the words of Jim Giles, in an “apple-pie. strictly legal, sort of way.”
So, let’s define the Cause as simply and strictly as possible.
The Fourteen Words.
“And THEN What?”
Well, that’s where Pierce stopped…
So did self-identified White Nationalists, with the exception of Harold Covington, who asked the Question, over and over, and developed the only comprehensive solution, which words even as an Analytical Framework for ordering our lives in accordance with the Fourteen Words.
So, what methods do we have for converting the ineterested people who look in our shop into buyers and enthusiastic supporters of our product?
The Fourteen Words gets in them.
The Northwest Republic transforms them, along Yockeyian lines, on a daily basis, IF they are ready to do the Work.
If it seems I am bashing Pierce, I am not.
I AM pointing out that he led up to a point, and past the point we have only a big sign marked “DEAD END.”
Only Covington kicked the sign down, and Greg Johnson is laying out the pathway from where we are, to where we damn well belong.
I used the phrase to describe the last half-century of self-identified White Nationalism:
“The Triumph of Entertainment Over Effectiveness.”
No one has challenged me on this, perhaps because no one cares.
That leads us to the “National (ha-ha!) Alliance.”
It died, as anything with hopes of being a dynamic, useful entity, with Pierce.
I suppose you might look at wonderful Resistance Records – are they still around, and did they REALLY do cd’s of bands named “Vaginal Jesus” and “Anal Cunt.”
Did it ever occur to anyone that all we do is exactly what our Enemies WANT us to do?

With the rapidly deteriorating situation here in the USA—-the massive long-term unemployment, the nonstop invasion of sub-human scum, the growing number of Hoovervilles and soup kitchens, the ever-increasing amount of Federal tyranny, the exploding prison population and record levels of debt, foreclosures and bankruptcy, it shouldn’t be too much longer before all hell breaks loose. What the followers of Harold Covington don’t seem to understand is that if you want to establish a White Homeland in the Northwest or anywhere else for that matter, you have to defend it with nuclear weapons. The only majority White countries that have nuclear weapons are the U.S, Russia, Britain, and France. The ONLY one of these countries that is not TOTALLY under jewish control is Russia. The jews realize this and will do anything to bring Russia totally within the jewish orbit, or failing with this, they will try to utterly destroy her. Russia holds the key to White survival. He didn’t have to remind the German people everyday that they were Germans. They already knew that. Everybody needs a little breathing room. Teddy, I agree that “Nation and Race” is the best chapter in “Mein Kampf”. Hitler’s primary mistake was that he was TOO easy going. He under estimated the power that the jews held over the world. He thought that if he let the jew dominated British Army escape at Dunkirk, he might get a negotiated “peace”. A folkish government IS a militant government. South African anti-apartheid veteran Arthur Goldreich dies; once hid Mandela

JOHANNESBURG — It was an elaborate charade: A white South African family in the comfortable brick house on the northern edge of Johannesburg, a black farm worker in the tiny servant’s quarters out back.
The farm worker was Nelson Mandela, hiding out in the 1960s soon after he founded the armed wing of the African National Congress. Arthur Goldreich, key to the ruse as head of the white family, died Tuesday in Tel Aviv, Israel, Mandela’s office said Wednesday. Goldreich was 82.
Goldreich and his family pretended to be the owners of a farm on the outskirts of Johannesburg that was the ANC’s underground headquarters in the 1960s. They played into the stereotypes of apartheid, trying to behave as masters and servant before the neighbors, who have spoken of seeing Mandela, known on the farm as David Motsamayi, in blue workers’ overalls selling produce on the street outside.
But in private, they were comrades. Mandela once spoke of “numerous political discussions” with Goldreich, and of recommending he be recruited into Umkhonto we Sizwe, known as MK, the ANC’s armed wing. In his autobiography, Mandela describes the South African-born Goldreich as having fought in the 1940s with the military wing of the Jewish National Movement in Palestine.
Mandela described Goldreich as “a flamboyant person, (who) gave the farm a buoyant atmosphere.”
Benjamin Pogrund, a former South African journalist who met Goldreich in Israel, told the AP that “Goldreich was a romantic revolutionary.
“He had a great personality and was really fun to be with. He was a great narrator and did everything with tremendous flair.”
Mandela wrote of close calls at the farm. One day Mandela’s son, leafing through a magazine while playing with Goldreich’s son on a visit to the farm, came across a photo of Mandela before he went underground. Mandela’s son told Goldreich’s son the man pictured was his father, and identified him by his real name.
“I had the feeling that I had remained too long in one place,” Mandela wrote.
Mandela was not at the farm when it was raided in 1963. He was already in prison in a separate case, but became a defendant in the so-called Rivonia treason trial that arose from the farm raid, leading to decades in prison.
Goldreich was among those arrested at the farm. He and three others escaped from a downtown Johannesburg police station. Goldreich made it out of South Africa disguised as a priest, and eventually settled in Israel.
Pogrund said Goldreich escaped by promising to bribe a young policeman to open the cell door. Guarding the door had been the policeman’s first assignment.
For years, Pogrund said, Goldreich regretted that the bribe hadn’t been paid. He paid the officer after apartheid ended, Pogrund said.
Goldreich visited South Africa after apartheid ended in 1994 for a reunion at the farm, which now is a museum.
Goldreich was an artist and designer as well as an activist. He created the sets for “King Kong,” a celebrated South African musical tracing the tragic story of a real-life boxer.
Pogrund said Goldreich became an architect in Israel and taught at the prestigious Betzalel art academy.
Goldreich is survived by his sons Nicholas, Paul, Amos and Eden.

In regards to Mary O, I would believe that she has had a traumatic experience with a problem-drinker, or, “alcoholic”, as the -ism-ists like to call it, and has therefore been slanted towards white temperance.
She should be reminded that alcoholic consumption has been a part of Western consciousness since antiquity, and longer, to be sure, and not simply for its intoxicating effects, obviously, but for many purposes, not least of all, ale being a source of safe, potable hydration when water supplies were less than sanitary.
Because a minority misuse something does not give us justification to condemn it. Should we ban the internet because some people use it idly, wastefully, unproductively, even detrimentally?
Let us be reasonable. Reasoning IS one of the great skills that separate us from our “coloured cousins.”

Syd, I thought alcohol had a de-hydrating effect on the body, no?
My own grandad, a combat veteran of WWI, drank like crazy, even though Prohibition was in effect. It was a stupid law and probably made a lot of people like him drink even MORE, not less. But could you blame him for drinking, after what he went through on the Western Front?
Unlike my grandad and one of his two sons I have no real taste for the sauce. It may very well be that some people have a genetic predisposition towards alcoholism. No amount of laws can deal with that. And like I mentioned above laws against the sale and importation of booze tend to make its customers even more thirsty for it, thus inviting organized crime.
We already have 35 million laws on the books and most of them are impossibly stupid. Laws against Jews, coloreds and miscegenation are the only laws we need, everything else is tyranny and overkill.

I didn’t mean that Hitler was too easy going during the war. He certainly should have trapped the English at Dunkirk and gave then what for! I meant he should have gave the Germans a little more breathing room in every day society. A folkish society is normally filled with local militias as the South was before the war. You didn’t want to do anything to cause a militia to hunt you down. The result was normally a rope around your neck that instant.

I would like to take this time to thank Mr. Socrates for recommending Ferdinand Celine’s classic novel Journey to the Edge of Night. It was one of the best books I ever read and I am still kicking myself for not having discovered it earlier. I would like to recommend Celine’s other great novel, Death on the Installment Plan. It’s a picaresque, quasi-autobiographical work of fiction that has all the viciously funny misanthropy that Journey….. has.
Thanks also for recommending Jethro Tull’s A Passion Play. I am very familiar with the Tull’s early albums, like This Was and Stand Up, but I never got around to appreciating their great 1973 concept album.
I made the mistake of stating that concept albums do not sell very well, or lose their popularity before long….something like that. Of course, I had forgotten all about Pink Floyd’s The Wall and The Who’s Tommy.
Finally, I made the mistake of once stating that the Christian god is nowhere mentioned in any of Shakespeare’s plays. I had forgotten all about his great comedy The Merchant of Venice, possibly because I have always doubted whether or not The Bard actually wrote it.
And of course hyenas are not a species of dog, they are more closely related to the noble mongoose.
There, I think that covers it all….for now.

Jeanne d’Arc, Joan of Arc, ca. 1412-1431. “Jeanne d’Arc au sacre du roi Charles VII, dans la cathedrale de Reims,” by Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres, 1854.
Joan was born around 1412 or 1413. She was burned at the stake May 30, 1431. (That would be Memorial Day for modern Americans.) Twenty years later (1450), Guillaume Bouillé began the legal process of reassessing Joan’s trial. Cardinal d’Estouteville, the bishop of Digne, and the inquisitor of France at the time, Jean Breha. By l456, Pope Calixtus III revoked her sentence of “heretic,” posthumously, of course, and Joan’s path to sainthood was sure. (I would have said, Thanks, but no cigar, at least not from the Church that murdered her.)
Probably, the lesson of history here is simple enough: there is no organization, religious or political, that can efface the ethnicity. There is no remedy for nationalism. The globalists of the world, whether religious, political, or economic, are willfully ignoring, yea, defying history. They are bringing a curse upon the world. People prefer who they are, in the flesh. They cannot and will not transcend their race, sex, or land. Man is not an idea. Man is a person. America has toyed, dangerously, with the thought that humanity can transcend the most basic identities of human existence. We now approach the final contest between ideology and reality, between political dissembling and ethnic definitude. To pretend that a country can be a country–without foundational ethnicity, is a pretense about to be stripped bare. Ideology is about greed, about power and wealth, just as surely as anything it may accuse of the same.
Back to Joan and the first French revolution, the siege of Orléans in 1429 and the victory at Journée des Tourelles. Joan believed in her Church, but her voices told her to deliver France from the English. This was not the voice of her Church. And this was not a theological issue, or an ideological dispute. This was an ethnic urge. This was about nationalism. In Joan of Arc, Heaven stands for nationalism. Ideology is out the window. When the Church attempts to transcend or to destroy nationalism, the Church errs.
We won’t say Joan was a Protestant, obviously, but, there is some confusion about what the political function of Protestantism actually was, historically. There are some who see nationalism at the basis of the whole Protestant Reformation. The different ethnicities of Europe became disenchanted with some fat old rich Italian in Rome telling everyone what to do. Enough of that. People preferred their independence. Supersitious and ignorant as most of Europe was, the people understood ethnicity, and rallied behind it.
Jan Huss (1369-1415) a century earlier than Joan, had raised the ethnic standard, the banner of nationalism, for Bohemia. He was also burned at the stake. Huss first expressed his instincts of nationalism in terms of who had charge of the “university” at Katuná Hora. (A David Horowitz before his time?) Huss wanted Bohemia to have control over its own institution. Ironically, Huss was inspired by the English theological reformer, John Wycliffe (1328-1384). Wycliffe was spared the flames during his life (and was never excommunicated), but nearly half a century later his body was exhumed in 1428 by order of Pope Martin V, then burned, and his ashes were aspered on the River Swift (Lutterworth, England). (Ah, the Church must have its flames. So much is ‘at stake,’ so to speak.) Remember, too, King Henry VIII’s schism with Rome didn’t occur until the next century, or 1534, and that was over the marriage law, not over nationalism itself.
Now, we wouldn’t want to equate nationalism with morality, but, when the Church plays for political power to the point of corrupting its own standards, then nationalism may indeed transcend ecclesiastical authority.
It does not appear that Wycliffe and Huss were conscious, focused nationalists, however strong their objections to Catholic policy and polity, and however pertinent those objections were to the health of their respective countries. Joan appears to be the first real “activist” nationalist. And yet she had no issue with the Church. She was a totally ignorant peasant girl, and a teenager at that. She didn’t know anything about theology. She could barely read. Wycliffe and Huss were profound scholars. “Substance” arguers, as it were. Joan simply took action. (A Sarah Palin type, before her time?) Joan is where everyone’s heart was. Joan felt love of country more than anything else. In her mind, her voices told her what was of supreme value. Her voices told her to deliver France.
Yet, they didn’t tell her how to do it. She was left to her own genius, her own will, her own youthful dreams and indomitable love of country. (Joan was like a home schooler American patriot, before her time.) The English Churchman, who dominated France, especially Burgundy (northern France), would have none of it. Through their manipulated marriages with French royalty, they felt entitled to the thrones of France. (Thus, we see how miscegenation corrupts nationhood, and weakens national identity.) Joan knew instinctively that France must be free of foreign control of any basis, blood or bias. France must be free at any cost.
So, never mind the matter of Catholicism and Joan of Arc. Joan’s story is about nationalism–over and above international organizations, politics, and even religious doctrine. Joan never had any problem with the Church. The aberrant Church had a problem with Joan. The Church may want to claim her glory now, but, the Church certainly does not deserve it, by any stretch of the imagination. The Church burned her at the stake. No posthumous explication or ecclesiastical apology will suffice. The Church deserves only shame. The Church cannot be trusted by patriots. The Church is not a friend of nationalists. That is the lesson of Joan of Arc. The Church sacrificed the trust of all its flock to its own political ambitions. That is the truth of the matter. Political power is the stake on which the Church burned itself.

Interesting posting by Herr Doody re Joan of Arc. The situation in the Hundred Years’ War was politically complicated but the the bottom line appears to be that “The Church” when faced with a conflict of nationalism and internationalism will always choose internationalism. This habit is now so engrained that they are busy pulling down their own protective walls and are about to be buried in the mudslide.

I have just re-read Doody’s Joan of Arc posting, it contains some profound insights.
What the jew controlled globalists, communists, and churches are asking or compelling us to do, is to forego love of family, race and region for the ethereal love of ‘humanity’, whatever that is. You give me creative control over “iCarly” and I swear to Christ you will see a show that will leave viewers absolutely stunned, shocked and dumbfounded. Oh, I don’t watch TV, personally. I avoid it at all cost. I don’t own one. I was raised on cable TV and when I came of age and realized that this machine had played a large part in the destruction of my parents’ generation and it’s controllers were doubling– no, tripling– their efforts on my generation, and now, alas, the next generation, exponentially, I gave it up cold-turkey and have nary looked at the thing (voluntarly) since.
However, some people always seem to have the god-damned thing on, whether or not it’s being watched. So, you go for a visit, you see what’s on the telly, pre-teen sluts grooming the next wave of young, race-mixing, gender-bending pre-teen sluts and twinks and meathead dumb-fucks … you see the Cosmo, J-14, maxim, loaded, Vogue mags on the coffee table … you see the corn chips and cocoa puffs and mountain dew and pop-tarts and lean cuisine in the pantry…
It’s sickening, to mind, body and spirit.
Though I obviously don’t condone the consumption of ANY of this trash, it is of value, I believe, to pay attention to what the sheep are being fed in preparation for the slaughter.
Now, how do we use this information to further our cause? How will put this knowledge to work?
Or was even G.I. Joe manipulating me in my naive, impressionable youth, when he told me every Saturday morning that ” … Knowing is half the battle”?

The only show I still watch on TV is the McGlaughlin Group. I like seeing a bunch of adults in business suits shouting at each other while Mr. McGlaughlin has his arms folded and makes a sour, disapproving expression.
I remember there were some pretty entertaining TV shows for kids back in the day…..Sherman and Mr. Peabody, Josie and the Pussycats, Johnny Quest. Those programs didn’t insult the intelligence of kids, nor were they trying to sell them anything or indoctrinate them with pinko propaganda. What can White kids watch today that is free of any Jew poison?
