On Dr. William Pierce

People are always arguing about Dr. Pierce: his intentions, his work, his legacy. Why don’t we just make it simple and call him our philosophical leader? It fits. I don’t think it matters that Pierce wasn’t a boots-in-the-street leader. The WN movement needs both kinds of leaders. Anyway, Pierce awakened me. He showed me how to think about Western culture, and I’m very grateful to him. Not that Alex didn’t awaken me, he did, but Alex came later for me, after I had already been reading/listening to Pierce.

The ADV broadcasts and writings of Strom, Dr. Pierce and the writings of Revilo Oliver certainly opened my mind and validated what I always believed to be right and true. Dr. Pierce may have had his faults but he was the best white nationalist philosopher, bar none, until his untimely death. He had the ability to make the listener believe that victory over our biological enemies, even considering the odds, was both possible and inevitable.

It seemed the Alliance was really making strides among the general white public and his passing changed all that for the worse. American white nationalism lost perhaps its greatest leader when he died and the void has yet to be filled.

Like Strom points out Dr. Pierce “inexplicably failed” to appoint a successor to lead the NA, even when Pierce knew he was dying. I always thought that Pierce’s failure to do so was a sign of poor judgement on his part.

However, upon further reflection I now get the impression that, since the National Alliance was Pierce’s creation, perhaps he felt it should die with him. He probably wasn’t interested in the Apotheosis of Doctor William Luther Pierce; He surely wanted no great statues or memorials in his honor, no Cult of Personality…..He simply wanted to educate all decent White folks who could be reached about the dangers facing our Race and who is responsible for creating those dangers. And so perhaps he felt that after his death it should be left up to others to decide what to do next.

Could that be a plausible explanation for the Doctor’s reluctance to appoint a successor and plan for the NA’s continued existence after his own demise? Or was he simply disappointed with how it all turned out? He was no doubt hoping that millions of civilized, well-dressed and well-educated professional Whites would join him, when in reality he mostly got a few hundred tattooed freaks, daydreaming Nazi wannabees and basement-dwelling weird-o’s instead. How discouraging that must have been!

But he was great at converting right-wing conservative Republicans into racially aware activists. I myself was something of a National Review type before I heard the good Doctor. Thanks for the memories.

I would rank Dr. Pierce’s “Hunter” and “The Turner Diaries” right up there with The Aeneid,The Red Badge of Courage and The Last of the Mohicans as great works of action-packed Western literature. I understand that at the time of his death he was thinking about writing another exciting race-novel, one based on the Jews’ international White Slave trade. How tragic that he never lived to write it.

    4. CW-2 Says:

An interesting and insightful article by Kevin Strom, he writes well.
The ADV broadcasts are the good Doctor’s enduring legacy, and the title ‘philosopher leader’ is fitting as he was able to give an historical and reasoned foundation to the concepts raised in his talks, but never compromised the primacy he gave to communication and education.
We don’t need a mountain fortress from which to spread our message, nor do we need a membership organisation, those are past redundant forms. What we do need to continue on a wider scale is communicate on many levels and by many paths the truth to the White world.

    5. Nom de Guerre Says:

I heard an interesting interview the other night about American health care, it was the CEO of Integris health care describing how Americans always felt that death was optional, rather than something to be expected like in other countries. We have the attitude that if you throw more money at something its chance of success is greater, never realizing the maxim that it is the chain.
“It is written” everything is written, from our DNA springs everything the will to live or the will to die.

Well, Strom’s a bright guy but he’s made at least as many major mistakes in judgement as I’ve made in life One of less of them is airing the embarrassment that was the NA membership, if, in fact, that was actually the case. Another is allowing his bitterness at the current owners of The Land who are probably doing their best to keep Pierce’s work alive. While the article may be accurate and is a glowing testament to Dr. Pierce, it is a discouraging piece of writing. Maybe such histories have a place but this one doesn’t exactly inspire those who might step up and maybe even surpass Dr. Pierce’s success. I relate more to the introduction by “Socrates” than the arguably overworked descriptions of skinheads and those currently keeping up the archives and book sales if not cranking-out weekly broadcasts to Strom’s standards.

Thanks for the exellent video links!

That was a well -written article by Strom, but i feel he has been discredited by the scandalous charges brought against him.I get the impression he never cared for the “rougher” elements of the movement.

That’s too bad, because we need both “Stormtroopers” and “Party Brains” too accomplish the Herculean Task ahead of us of taking back our own Destiny and Birthright.

Dr.Pierce may not have wanted any statues or busts of himself—but i have a feeling that one day in the New Aryan Republic–where-ever it might be—that there will be just such obects of reverence to the great man all over —-as a matter of fact—i want one( a bronze bust)on my desk!

      Sieg Heil !!!!! — Dr.Pierce!!!
