Even though the federal government says that there is no specific terrorism threat for the Fourth of July, notice the massive (and expensive) police presence anyway. That police presence will help keep Joe Sixpack and Sally Soccermom nervous. If Joe and Sally are nervous, then they are more likely to accept additional freedom-stealing laws designed to fight America’s never-ending “War on Terror.”
