      WE cannot choose what happens to us, but we can choose our reaction to what happens to us.

      This is not possible for beginners on the Path. It takes much introspection, meditation and spiritual exercises to even choose the appropriate reaction.

      As one gets further along the Path, however, he can indeed attract only that which conforms to his level of spirituality, but that is very rare.
