Yardenna Alexandre of the Israel Antiquities Authority said the find shows the ancient Jews planned and prepared for the uprising, contrary to the common perception that the revolt began spontaneously. "It definitely was not spontaneous," Alexandre said. "The Jews of that time certainly did prepare for it, with underground hideaways here and in other sites we have found."

Britain Gave Israel Plutonium, Files Show

Britain secretly supplied Israel with plutonium during the 1960s despite a warning from military intelligence that it could help the Israelis to develop a nuclear bomb, it was disclosed last night. The deal, made during Harold Wilson's Labour government, is revealed in classified documents released under the Freedom of Information Act and obtained by BBC2's Newsnight programme. The documents also show how Britain made hundreds of shipments to Israel of material which could have helped in its nuclear weapons programme, including compounds of uranium, lithium, beryllium and tritium, as well as heavy water.

Israel asked Britain in 1966 to supply 10mg of plutonium. Israel would have required almost 5kg of plutonium to build an atomic bomb, but British defence intelligence officials warned that 10mg had "significant military value" and could enable the Jewish state to carry out important experimental work to speed up its nuclear weapons programme. Documents show that the decision to sell plutonium to Israel in 1966 was blocked by officials in both the Ministry of Defence and the Foreign Office, who said: "It is HMG's policy not to do anything which would assist Israel in the production of nuclear weapons." But the deal was forced through by a Jewish civil servant, Michael Michaels, in Tony Benn's Ministry of Technology, which was responsible for trade in nuclear material, according to Newsnight.

Peter Kelly, who was British defence intelligence's expert on the Israeli nuclear weapons programme, knew Mr Michaels. He told Newsnight he believed Mr Michaels knew that Israel was trying to build an atomic bomb, but that he had dual loyalties to Britain and Israel. Mr Benn told the programme that civil servants in his department kept the deals secret from him and his predecessor, Frank Cousins. He had always suspected that civil servants were doing deals behind his back, but he never thought they would sell plutonium to Israel. He told Newsnight: "I'm not only surprised, I'm shocked. It never occurred to me they would authorise something so totally against the policy of the government.

"Michaels lied to me, I learned by bitter experience that the nuclear industry lied to me again and again." He thought Wilson may not have known that Britain was helping Israel to get the bomb.

Last year Newsnight showed that in the late 1950s Harold Macmillan's Conservative government provided Israel with 20 tonnes of heavy water to start up its Dimona reactor. Newsnight said it learned that Jack Straw had admitted to the Liberal Democrat leader, Sir Menzies Campbell, that Britain knew the heavy water was destined for Israel, and that in 1961, Macmillan even made a failed attempt to get it back.

What this statement actually says is that Jack Straw knew about the shipment and was in some way either directly or indirectly involved with the backroom deal.

British Foreign Minister Jack Straw said Thursday that Britain wants to see a "nuclear-free Middle East," saying now that action has been taken against Iraq and Libya, Iran and Israel remain the only two nations posing "potential threat."

Speaking to Channel 4 Straw said: "If you want to see a nuclear-free Middle East, you've got to remove that threat from Iran, including the rhetorical threat to wipe Israel off the face of the map. Once you've done that, then we can get on to work in respect of Israel."

He added: "We in the international community defend Iran's right to peaceful nuclear power. That is not the issue. The issue is that they have got to bring themselves into compliance with obligations they voluntarily entered into and until they clarify their intentions, we don't believe it is safe for them to have full access to the nuclear cycle.

"It's a very different and separate issue from what the Iranians say, which is that we are trying to deny them nuclear electric power. We are not."

Now let's connect the dots. First note the dates, both stories were issued on the 10th of March. Actually the fist story was released sometime before the second, that is why the second story exits; but the dates are important because they indicate the urgency of the matter. The first story barely makes the back page news when we see joyless Jack on the front page headlines blathering about those naughty nuclear Nazis in the Middle East.

Jack the jew has been stumping continuously for Britain's support for America's war in the Middle East. Suddenly comes the news that jumpin' Jackie was privy to, if not directly involved in, treasonous actions involving British jews selling nuclear components to Israel. So the second story still has Straw stumping for British involvement in the Middle East, but now he is soft-pedaling the Iranian issue with "clarifying intentions" and tempering that position even further with the totally absurd notion that Britain will somehow act to limit Israel's nuclear capabilities. Have we all stopped laughing yet? Now step back for a moment and ask yourself this crucial question, would a jew connected with the treasonous sale of nuclear components to Israel really be interested in limiting or reducing Israel's nuclear capabilities? If you believe that you'll probably regret finding out that you're missing a really great sporting event playing on the Talmudvision this very minute, but if you hurry you can still catch which team makes the winning point.

The fact is this jew has been caught with his treasonous hand in the nuclear cookie jar (or is that a yellow cake jar?) and so suddenly stands on the brink of exposure for being the traitor he truly is to British interests. One thing is certain, this must be a very bad development for jews. It is highly unusual for a jew to immediately begin backpedaling on any issue involving Israel's Middle East hegemony. In this type of situation the jew's typical first line of defense is Chutzpa in the form of righteous indignation, but the fact is it will be very difficult for this jew to continue his hard line rhetoric against non-existent Iranian nuclear power when he in fact participated in the illegal expansion of Israeli nuclear power.

At some point even a jew finds he cannot wear different shoes on the same foot. So there will be some very rapid backpedaling by jolly Jacko and no doubt much bravado about loyalty to old Blighty in an effort to keep the lid on the impending holocaust. (jew - remember?) There have been many politicians mounted upon a political pillory for far less than jack-the-jew's treasonous effort at advancing Israel's foreign nuclear proliferation; John Profumo comes to mind in this case. We can only hope that like Israel's Dimona reactor, the emerging Straw affair will soon go critical and result in this slimy jew's political immolation.

How I came upon this puzzle was by reading the second article first. I had barley finished scanning the text before I began exfoliating my scalp in bewilderment as to why one of the slimiest jews in Britain, a jew who has probably had the most political success destroying that country since Cromwell, would suddenly be favoring the of curbing Israel's nuclear power. (If you just came in from watching the game, Cromwell was the traitor who allowed the jews to immigrate back into Britain. Jack-the-jew Straw has been instrumental in opening up unrestricted immigration for wogs. And ain't it funny how that word ''traitor" keeps popping up when discussing jews) The first article connected the dots for me, this jew is simply lying though his teeth (su-rprise! su-prise!) in an effort to allay the mounting potential political and legal problems that might well arise from the exposure of his traitorous activities. Conundrum solved, case closed, dandruff safe.

One more thing, is it my imagination or does the name "Jack Straw" sound like something out of a Grimm's fairy tale? And then the evil obergruppenfurher witch said to little Jack Straw, "You greasy little kike, I'm going to fry your fat, little, kosher ass in my new neo-Nazi oven!" But Jack jumped up and quickly lied his way out of it.

Facing threats of litigation and pressure from Washington, colleges and universities nationwide are opening to white students hundreds of thousands of dollars in fellowships, scholarships and other programs previously created for minorities.

Southern Illinois University reached a consent decree last month with the Justice Department to allow nonminorities and men access to graduate fellowships originally created for minorities and women.

In January, the State University of New York made white students eligible for $6.8 million of aid in two scholarship programs also previously available just for minorities. Pepperdine University is negotiating with the Education Department over its use of race as a criterion in its programs.

"They're all trying to minimize their legal exposure," Susan Sturm, a law professor at Columbia University, said about colleges and universities. "The question is how are they doing that, and are they doing that in a way that's going to shut down any effort or any successful effort to diversify the student body?"

The institutions are reacting to two 2003 Supreme Court cases on using race in admissions at the University of Michigan. Although the cases did not ban using race in admissions to higher education, they did leave the state of the law unclear, and with the changing composition of the court, some university and college officials fear legal challenges.

What we read about was yet another Jew who lost 89 or 94 relatives in the Holocaust. No, not the first holocaust which you never hear about. We mean the second one [1].

How come every Jew on earth lost at least 89 relatives in the second holocaust? Heck, we don't, and didn't, have nearly that many relatives who were known to us. We recall having about 18 relatives, including distant ones in far-off states. How does your average Jew know that he/she lost 89 or 96 relatives in the second holocaust? Many Jews fled the Nazis by going to America or the Soviet Union. How do the Jews keep track of them all? How many of their relatives died in car accidents instead? How many of them died due to falling off ladders? Or of heart attacks? How many choked to death on a bagel at a communist party picnic? We'll never know, because Jews are chronic liars who lie so often that they probably don't even know when they are lying and when they aren't [2]. Sometime ago I began to suspect the gold and silver frenzy was a manufactured hoax to sell the gullible goyim overpriced metals. What led me to this conclusion was the intense, emotionally charged, fear mongering behind the vast majority of the selling approaches used by the traffickers. The money is inflating! The dollar is collapsing! The sky is falling! Hurry! Hurry! Buy! Buy before it's to late! You don't want to be like the other fools who will be left behind when the value of their paper currency collapses do you? Emotionally charged appeals, especially those using fear, have long been used as an effective tool for spurring action in minds that might otherwise reject such appeals given a chance for calm, rational analysis.

Now that jews have detached their various global currencies from metal backing, they seem to have transcended their historical lust for precious metals. Thus the gold buying frenzy may well end with yet more wealth lost buy those who were emotionally whipped into making their purchases of these metals. Think about the jew driven, stupidly overpriced and totally phony diamond market for a moment, can the other jewish wealth icons like gold and silver be far behind? In fact we may be witnessing a paradigm shift in the fundamental way jews view the representation of wealth. If what this article says is true, then America can expect a contraction in the money supply and a major increase in interest rates. This hustle will inevitably lead to a rise in the value of the dollar and a corresponding drop in the value of precious metal commodities like gold and silver.

Sometime ago I pointed out that before becoming chairman of the fed, Allen Greenspan was considered to be an anti-inflationary sage. Yet, after assuming the central banker's royal mantel, Greenspan became the greatest proponent of inflation in American history. Now chairman Ben Yahweh dons the central banker's crown under the rubric of being an inflationary bedlamite. Are we witnessing a trend; will chairman Ben Yahweh follow the same pattern as Greenspan and become the very antithesis of the persona he presented before his anointment? If so, what this means is that the great gold and silver buying frenzy (for a proper jewish perspective think sell off) will have been just another typical jewish economic hoax on the unsuspecting bovina.

The jew trickster commonly waves one hand about in an obvious manner while screaming and kvetching to distraction. When dealing with these tricksters, one must always watch the what the other hand is doing, for therein lies the jew's Ttikkun Olam magic. Of course as this article points out with its reference to a "stealth tool", unless one has a backstage pass it is often impossible to see how the trick is actually performed. In this case the jew uses a hidden assistant working behind the scenes to fool the gullible goyim. When such is the case, the only recourse is to apply Hyman's Razor: How will this benefit the jew?

The Fed Officially Kicks Off the Next Recession

It is official. A recession is coming. How do I know? Because this week new Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke gave an official warning to bankers about commercial real estate loans. That is always the kickoff to a recession. It is the starter's gun, the national anthem before a ballgame, the opening hymn at a church service. Here is how it works. The Fed has three official tools to control the money supply: Setting reserve requirements (telling banks how much of their deposits they cannot lend. The higher the reserve requirements, the less loans, the less money creation by the economy). The second tool is open market operations. Here they set the amount of money in the system by buying or selling securities. Third is setting the discount rate, the rate of interest banks must pay to borrow money at the Fed. Theoretically, the higher the rate, the less money banks will borrow, the less they have to lend, and the less money that is created by the banking system.

Japan's rise from the ashes of World War II was truly meteoric. No country in history could match Japan's growth rates from the 1950s through the 1970s. In just two decades, Japan evolved from a largely agrarian country to an industrial giant that rivaled the U.S. and Europe. By the 1980s, American companies found themselves struggling to compete with Japanese manufactures in steel, autos, and consumer electronics. Business schools began teaching classes on Japanese management techniques, and American workers looked on in fear as their bosses were replaced with Japanese managers.

The Japanese stock market played its part too. After putting up good returns throughout the 1960s and 1970s, shares shot through the roof in the 1980s, and by the middle of the decade Japanese stocks were in a full-blown bubble. Between 1985 and 1990 the Nikkei tripled, hitting a high just shy of 40,000 in December of 1989.

Today, we see a very different Japan. The present rally notwithstanding, the Nikkei is still down over 60% from the top - more than fifteen years later! Japan has spent the last fifteen years in and out of recession, never able to get any real momentum. So what caused Japan to fall into this hibernation? The falling desire of Japanese consumers. Low consumer demand due to the aging of the population meant low profits for Japanese companies, which in turn led to decreased hiring and even lower demand. A vicious cycle developed with no way out. This cycle - lower demand, lower profits, lower production, etc., is exactly what we see in our future.

The Japanese consumer got old. As he slowed his purchases in the early 1990s, the economic bubble burst despite all efforts to keep it inflated.

The Bank of Japan cut interest rates from 6% to zero, essentially giving money away in the hopes that someone would spend it to build a factory, increase production, or to consume. In the standard formula, lowering interest rates spurs consumption and investment. As the reward for saving money gets smaller, the incentive to spend it gets bigger. But an odd thing happened in Japan; interest rates dropped, but savings remained high. Consumer spending stayed flat and then fell. New investment in productive assets stalled - Japanese business already had more than enough capacity.

The United States will start "turning Japanese" around mid to late 2010. The demographic trends that have powered the economy since the early 1980s will peak at this time and finally reverse as the Baby Boomers begin to save every dollar they can spare for their impending old age. Demographically, we will be in the same place as the Japanese when they began their slow, grinding decline in 1990. And when consumer demand falls, American businesses will have a hard time turning a profit. Stocks will likely enter a long bear market, and investor portfolios will be ravaged.

What Mr. Bernanke will argue is that this is a new era. While history would normally punish such spendthrifts, Bernanke will say it doesn't work like that any more. History has stopped short, never to go again. Now, we can get away with errors, conceits, and delusions that would have sunk any other nation many years ago.

But while it could take a century to squeeze every last cent out of the United States of America, millions of American families are already down to the pulp. They could go broke this year...or next. When they stop buying, down goes the entire U.S. consumer economy, and up comes history and that history-loving metal, gold.

Neocon Advocates Civil War in Iraq as "Strategic" Policy

Daniel Pipes Finds Comfort in Muslims Killing Muslims

One of the abiding myths about the War on Iraq is that the neocons were too stupid to realize that they would confront an unrelenting, indigenous resistance to their occupation of Iraq. Unwittingly, the story line goes, they led the U.S. into a conflict which has now produced a civil war. But this simply does not fit the facts. The neocons clearly anticipated such an outcome before they launched their war as Stephen Zunes documents in Antiwar.com:

"Top analysts in the CIA and State Department, as well as large numbers of Middle East experts, warned that a U.S. invasion of Iraq could result in a violent ethnic and sectarian conflict. Even some of the war's intellectual architects acknowledged as much: In a 1997 paper, prior to becoming major figures in the Bush foreign policy team, David Wurmser, Richard Perle, and Douglas Feith predicted that a post-Saddam Iraq would likely be "ripped apart" by sectarianism and other cleavages but called on the United States to "expedite" such a collapse anyway."

Yet the line persists that the neocons had no idea what they were getting into. This cannot be correct as they think a lot about what they do and they plan carefully. Not only is that charge absurd on the face of it, but it is arrogant on the part of those who level it. And it is the worst political mistake possible - underestimating your adversary.

Now the neocons are beginning to advocate for civil war in Iraq quite openly. The clearest statement of this strategy as yet comes from pre-eminent neocon and ardent Zionist Daniel Pipes. In a recent piece in the Jerusalem Post, Pipes spills the beans. He writes:

"The bombing on February 22 of the Askariya shrine in Samarra, Iraq, was a tragedy, but it was not an American or a coalition tragedy. Iraq's plight is neither a coalition responsibility nor a particular danger to the West. Fixing Iraq is neither the coalition's responsibility, nor its burden. When Sunni terrorists target Shi'ites and vice versa, non-Muslims are less likely to be hurt. Civil war in Iraq, in short, would be a humanitarian tragedy, but not a strategic one."

As ever Pipes's anti-Arab racism is simply too rabid to be hidden. If Muslims are busy killing other Muslims, then "non-Muslims" are less likely to be hurt!! What does that say about Muslim lives? And of course both Sunnis and Shia must be labeled "terrorists." Pipes is doing nothing more endorsing than the oldest of colonial strategies: Divide et impera.

Pipes envisions other "benefits" to the civil war "strategy," such as inhibiting the spread of democracy in the Middle East. Pipes again:

"Civil war will "terminate the dream of Iraq serving as a model for other Middle Eastern countries, thus delaying the push toward elections. This would have the effect of keeping Islamists from being legitimated by the popular vote, as Hamas was just a month ago."

And finally Pipes declares that a civil war "would likely invite Syrian and Iranian participation hastening the possibility of confrontation with these two states, with which tensions are already high." It is no secret that the neocons have been aching for the U.S. to strike at Iran and Syria, so here too the civil war strategy of the neocons makes good sense to them. Of course the added death and destruction is not their problem since the victims will be Muslims and some unwitting American soldiers.

There seems to be only one fly in this neocon ointment. That is, will it be possible to control the flow of oil in the midst of turmoil in Iraq. Here I suspect the neocons who put Israel first might have their differences with the oil barons, presently their allies. But the neocons have certainly given a lot of thought to that, and it probably explains why the location of the large and permanent U.S. bases in Iraq is not known. It would seem, however, that there are great uncertainties in this and it may cause some trouble among the neocons and their allies over the longer term.

The only real question is whether the civil war emerged spontaneously as Wurmser, Perle and Feith predicted or whether the Iraqis had to be goaded into it by the U.S. Given all the intrigues and mysteries in Iraq, including the bombing of the Askariya shrine in Samarra and the shadowy death squads and torture chambers which the U.S. claims to know nothing about, the latter seems more likely as of now. It certainly fits the civil war strategy, and it is quite reminiscent of the Iran-Iraq war in which the U.S. and Israel fanned the flames that consumed over 1 million Muslim lives.

The fact is that the neocons who control U.S. strategy have no interest in preventing a civil war but only in inciting one. Sectarian tensions were virtually unknown in Iraq before the U.S. invasion. And in fact the Iraqi Shia fought loyally as Iraqis against Iranian Shia in the disastrous Iran-Iraq war. So to avoid an Iraqi civil war, the most important step is to get all the U.S. troops home and thus to terminate U.S. provocations. For it is now crystal clear that the neocon strategy is one of civil war to divide and destroy Iraq; and such a strategy amounts to a crime against humanity.

Meanwhile, President George W. Bush on Friday called Iran an issue of "grave national security concern" and said he wanted a diplomatic solution to Iran's nuclear ambitions. Bush said U.S. concerns were the result of Iran's stated desire to destroy Israel and the U.S. belief that Tehran wants to develop a nuclear weapon. Iran says its nuclear program is for civilian power generation. "Therefore it's very important for the United States to continue to work with others to solve these issues diplomatically, deal with these threats today," Bush told a newspaper group.

I said this before about Zimbabwe...GET OUT! As much as I sympathize with the whites who are getting slaughtered in Africa, I can't understand their stubborn unwillingness to flee when the gig is obviously up. I don't want to hear 'can't,' either. If that's the case, then relief funds need to be set up, etc. Previously, it's been posted that Australia will take them in. Also, they should make a lot of noise and ask for asylum in Western countries. (That would serve the dual purpose of revealing the hypocrisy of open borders anarchists). Let black African countries that don't want whites have their countries...call their bluffs and see what happens to their countries without whites, and meanwhile, countries with sufficient whites need to recognize reality and shut down their borders. Worse is better. Sadly, SA must completely collapse before the blacks will see the folly of their politics. Even then, if whites come to rebuild, they will be met with hostility. He thought it might be a nice touch to commission some public artwork to rest outside Hadlock Field where the Sea Dogs play and offer it to the city for free. So he commissioned Rhoda Sherbell, a Long Island, N.Y., artist to create bronze statues of an American family - mom, dad and two kids - headed off to watch a game together.

Can't get much less controversial than that, can you? That's what you think.

Portland's Public Art Committee had other ideas. They see racism and sexism and probably homophobia beneath the bronze veneer. The statues just don't reflect the diversity of Maine's largest city, members say. What's got the art czars in a tizzy is a father figure, a mother carrying a small girl holding a teddy bear and a son wearing a baseball glove and wearing a Sea Dogs shirt. Now let's review the demographics of the fair city of Portland, Maine, for a moment.

Let's see: Irish - 18 percent; English - 17 percent; Italian 9 percent; French (non-Basque) - 9 percent; German - 6 percent; Scottish - 4 percent; French Canadian - 4 percent; Scotch-Irish - 3 percent; black or African-American - 3 percent; Polish - 2 percent; Swedish - 2 percent; Russian - 1 percent; Vietnamese - 1 percent; Cambodian - 1 percent; Danish - 1 percent; Dutch - 1 percent; Welsh - 1 percent; Norwegian - 1 percent; sub-Saharan African - 1 percent; British - 1 percent; Canadian - 1 percent; European - 1 percent; American-Indian - 1 percent; Greek - 1 percent.

In other words, compared to most American cities, Portland, Maine, is pretty much a lily-white community.

By the way, did I mention the statues are bronze, not white?

So it seems the elite art czars of Portland, Maine, care more about the appearance of diversity in their community and the way that is exhibited through public artwork than they care about real racial diversity among the population of the city. Notice you see no movement to encourage black people to move to Portland, Maine. They evidently want black statues, not live black people.

This may be the first affirmative-action program in the history of mankind for racially diverse statues. Look at the photo of a Sea Dogs game at Hadlock Field. It would seem, if this proposed statue is indeed intended as a depiction of a white family, that it would be pretty representative of the folks attending games there.

Unless this isn't about racial diversity at all. I suspect it's not.

If those were the circumstances the artist was seeing, would that make public artwork more acceptable? I suspect it would.

It would seem The State News would rather run stories about how unethical Islamic stances on the issue are in comparison to our own. The threat to our freedom is much closer to home than Danish cartoons or Middle Eastern riots, but don't count on The State News to say so -- it would be anti-Semitic to question the imprisonment of a man who has some questions about World War II.

The Logic-Reality Paradox

The Logic-Reality Paradox is the paradoxical situation that certain facts of the physical world "don't make sense" or "aren't logical". This is a paradox which, as far as I know, has never been identified before as a paradox, tho the specific instances of paradoxicality which the paradox embraces have probably been thought about at least indirectly, ie, without necessarily explicitly recognizing that such instances showed a discontinuity between, on the one hand, logic, and on the other, the physical world which logic was intended to represent or describe.

The best way to understand the Logic-Reality Paradox is to understand particular instances of it. The following are three which have stimulated the writing this essay, but there are probably many more, and perhaps an infinite number.

* The spirit paradox: Physical evidence, as from seances, seems to indicate that there exist things commonly called spirits which are conscious and intelligent entities which -- tho different from ordinary material bodies -- can nevertheless interact with the physical world, and furthermore are responsible for animating human and perhaps animal bodies. However, the notion that a spirit is responsible for animating a body and therefore somehow controlling its brain seems impossible, because it would mean that the brain does not function as a thinking organ, but merely as a sort of collection of levers or buttons which the spirit uses to manipulate the body. This is problematic because it seems to mean that the brain is nothing more than a terminal point for nerve endings, and is especially problematical because it seems to violate conservation of matter and energy by allowing the brain to be operated by 'spirit energy' (whatever that is) rather than physical energy. It is also problematic because it seems to imply that there is some sort of mysterious interaction between the spirit and the body, contrary to scientific observation which deems that brain states are caused only by prior brain states, and not by the intervention of spirits.

* The existence paradox: Since the universe exists, it must have come into existence, and yet coming into existence implies that it came into existence from nothing. This seems completely crazy, because it seems impossible to envision a change where nothing suddenly becomes something.

* The paradox of non-existent existence: Mathematicians say that the square root of minus one does not exist for the simple reason that there is no number which, when multiplied by itself, gives the result -1. In spite of this, however, the square root of minus one is a very useful notion, and finds significant application in the physical world to calculations involving alternating current circuits. This then raises the question, How is it possible for a non-existent number to be useful -- and indeed indispensable -- in certain mathematical calculations?

Note: The above paradox may probably be generalized on the basis that there are many different kinds of existence besides 'normal' existence. For example, there is physical existence (consisting of objects which can be both created and destroyed); the existence of ideas (which are not physical, and cannot be destroyed, altho they have evidently been created); 'non-existent' ideas, such as the square root of minus one; non-existent but possible physical objects, such as my million-dollar bank account; impossible physical objects, such as the object which is both red all over and green all over; and probably an infinity of other objects. I have discussed different forms of existence in my currently-unpublished book Logical Alternatives: Studies in the Philosophy of Logic and Existence.

What I am driving at in citing the above paradoxes is that logic, such as we know it, just doesn't seem to enable us to think about certain things very well, altho it does just fine with ordinary objects and everyday situations. Whether this means that logic needs to be 'improved' -- as some have tried to do with such creations as 'fuzzy logic', 'multi-valued logic', 'deontic logic' and the like -- or whether it represents some kind of epistemological wall which we are 'up against, mutha fukka' because of our innate limitations, I do not know, tho I would guess the latter, as it is difficult to see how logic can be improved in any significant way. But then maybe that is because I am using the wrong kind of logic.

You've got to fight. It's the only conclusion I can draw as I see the renewed erosion of our freedom to discuss the Middle East. The most recent example - and the most shameful - is the cowardly decision of the New York Theatre Workshop to cancel the Royal Court's splendid production of My Name Is Rachel Corrie.

It's the story - in her own words and emails - of the brave young American woman who travelled to Gaza to protect innocent Palestinians and who stood in front of an Israeli bulldozer in an attempt to prevent the driver from destroying a Palestinian home. The bulldozer drove over her and then reversed and crushed her a second time. "My back is broken," she said before she died.

An American heroine, Rachel earned no brownie points from the Bush administration which bangs on about courage and freedom from oppression every few minutes. Rachel's was the wrong sort of courage and she was defending the freedom of the wrong people. But when I read that James Nicola, the New York Theatre Workshop's "artistic director" - his title really should be in quotation marks - had decided to "postpone" the play "indefinitely" because (reader, hold your breath) "in our pre-production planning and our talking around and listening in our communities (sic) in New York, what we heard was that after Ariel Sharon's illness and the election of Hamas. ... we had a very edgy situation", I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Evan Bayh was the Democratic keynoter at this year's AIPAC convention. Well aware that AIPAC is under investigation for espionage (and that two top AIPAC officials have been indicted), Bayh made clear where he stands.

Israeli Counter-Terrorism Expert Trains Police At Mall

Man Serves As International Anti-Terrorism Trainer

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. -- A counterterrorism expert who was once an Israeli police officer is in South Florida this week to train police in antiterrorism and crime-fighting techniques.

Retired Detective Staff Sgt. Major Marc Kahlberg is working with the Pembroke Pines Police Department in a training initiative at Pembroke Lakes Mall. This concept is known as "The Secure Zone." Kahlberg conceptualized the approach that is now a used in Israel and is being implemented on three different continents.

Kahlberg is training Pembroke Pines officers and officers from surrounding agencies. He will also brief local chiefs and command staff personnel on "Managing the Terrorist Threat." Kahlberg will also lecture local business leaders this concept and conduct an in-depth analysis of the Pembroke Pines Secure Zone.

While he was an Israeli police officer assigned to the Netanya District, Kahlberg responded to more than a dozen suicide bombing scenes. He also arrested three terrorists, one of whom was determined to be a suicide bomber who was just hours away from detonating his bomb.

Kahlberg now lectures and teaches methods of counter-terrorism to international police agencies, the U.S. Counter Terrorism Bureau, and U.S. congressmen and their advisers.

Christmas Denier Gets Three Years Sentence (Satire)

Yesterday, spectators in the court room broke out in cheers as Judge Pat Robinson announced his decision: "I find you guilty and sentence you to three years in prison for denying our Bible." The defendant, Joan Doubter, is known as a notorious Christmas denier. Her knees buckled when she heard her fate. Doubter had objected to President George W. Bush's lighting a "Christmas Tree," on the White House lawn, on Dec. 1, 2005. She also took issue with what he said as he was doing it: "God is on our side in Iraq. He guides me in all of my actions, since I was, mercifully, born again as a Christian. Praise the Lord."

Incensed over the incident, Doubter penned a letter to the editor of the "Starchamber Gazette" criticizing Bush. She wrote : "Christmas is a fairy tale and the President has crossed a First Amendment line, with his flaky actions." The Rev. Jeremiah Upwell, who is part of the town's ruling clique, threw a hizzy fit when he saw the letter. He filed a criminal complaint against Doubter, an unemployed textile factory worker, for violating the state's law. Upwell was also the main witness at the one day trial. No jury trial, under Common Law, is permitted in a blaspheme related case. The defendant also couldn't afford a private lawyer. The judge, however, refused to appoint a public defender for her, ruling, "It would just be a waste of taxpayers' money to do so." Doubter, an eloquent woman, was forced to act as her own counsel.

It is a crime in Tennessee-a felony, punishable by up to ten years in the slammer-for anyone to deny, as an historical fact, the birth of Christ, his life, crucifixion, death and resurrection. After Doubter's indictment, the Special Prosecutor, Tom DeLooney, found out that the self-taught philosophy buff, and serial pamphleteer, had in her possession a book, "The Age of Reason," which was relevant to the charges. (1) It was put into evidence as state's "Exhibit No. B." Doubter's letter to the editor was offered as "Exhibit A." In the "The Age of Reason," Tom Paine, its author, who was an English-born freethinker, had written:

"I do not believe in the creed professed by the Jewish church, by the Roman church, by the Greek church, by the Turkish church, by the Protestant church, nor by any church that I know of. My own mind is my own church..." (2)

The Hang-Them-High, GA-based, "Jesus Loves You Always Center," welcomed the tough sentence. "While Doubter's rantings wouldn't be a crime in some ultraliberal states, like Maryland, Massachusetts or California, it's important that we support Tennessee's struggle to fight Christmas denial and Christmas revisionism," said Pastor "Jimmy Bob" Thornton, its spokesperson. The Rev. Ezekiel A. Doubling, head of the "Christianity AgiProp Trust," said: "Christmas denial is anti-Christianity dressed up as intellectual debate. Christianity is based on solid historical facts, not Hollywood fables. If we have to put some nut cases in jail every once in a while to make that point, so much the better."

Doubter did take the stand and testify on her own behalf. She insisted that the Jesus story was "a myth...a Jewish version of a pagan myth." She traced its origins to ancient Egyptian texts. They revealed, according to her, that "Osiris was a God who became man and wandered through Egypt teaching the people about religion and the right way to live. He was put to death by the forces of evil, but was magically restored to life and ascended into Heaven to become the judge of the souls in the afterlife. Egyptians believed that by worshiping Osiris and following his teachings they would enjoy eternal life." (3)

Judge Robinson could barely contain his rage listening to Doubter's testimony. But, he allowed her to have her say. She continued, "The myth of the dying and resurrected God/Man was known by different names, like: Dionysus, Attis, Adonis, Mithras, Serapis, to name a few; and then, finally, Jesus. Initiates of the mysteries learned that the God/Man was a giant allegory, every element of which could be decoded to reveal profound spiritual truths that lead to the experience of gnosis. The Apostle Paul had declared that the great secret of Christianity was the mystical revelation of the 'Christ in You,' which represented the one awareness that is the true identity of all of us. It's a big mistake for anybody," Doubter shouted, "to take the Bible literally." (3)

At that point, Judge Robinson cut Doubter off and roared at the handcuffed defendant, "I've heard enough from your foul mouth today, Madam. Your own damnable words in this court room," Ms. Doubter, "are more than enough to sustain your conviction. You are an unrepentant Christmas denier! And, the U.S. Constitution doesn't protect vile hate crimes like yours."

I decided to contact the "League of Righteous True Believers" for a comment about Doubter's trial and sentence. It had crossed swords with her in the past over her writings and was responsible for putting the harsh Christmas-denial law on the books in TN. and six other states as well. It is also working to enact the same tough law in a number of European countries.

Its fearless leader, Ms. Lizzy Tightbottom, told me: "Some matters, like Christmas, should never be open to question by anyone, particularly pseudo-philosophers. "Wouldn't it be better," I probed, "to leave the debate over Christmas to the marketplace of ideas and to combat the few naysayers, some of whom may be abusing their First Amendment privileges, in that arena?"

"No, that tactics just plays into the hands of the Christmas-bashers. Offenders need to be criminalized," she emphasized.

"How do you answer the critics," I followed up, "that say if matters, like the Black Slave Trade and the Genocide of Native Americans, can be disputed, then why shouldn't Christmas?"

She replied sharply: "Because, Christmas is unique! There is nothing else like in all of recorded history!"

Finally, I asked Tightbottom, "Do you have any concerns that Doubter might become a cause celebre for those who oppose government-sanctioned censorship."

She answered: "Doubter is a very sick woman, a Christian-hater, without any support groups. It's possible she could become a martyr for a demented few in this country, but it's highly unlikely. Don't forget that the Church executed one of its leading dissenters, Giordano Bruno, a brilliant philosopher and scientist, for heresy, in 1600. The world hardly blinked an eye at that outrage. (4) Doubter, on the other hand, is a loser, misfit and crackpot. She will quickly be forgotten!"

History has something to teach us here. In 1918, a German intellectual, Oswald Spengler, published his tome, "The Decline of the West." Spengler made this prophetic statement: "What the Press wills is true. Its commanders evoke, transform, interchange truths. Three weeks of press work, and the truth is acknowledged by everybody."

Spengler also elaborated on another insidious power of the so-called "free press." It was always free, he said, to take notice of what someone, a friend or foe, said or not. But, more importantly: "It could condemn any 'truth' to death simply by not undertaking its communication to the world - a terrible censorship of silence, which is all the more potent in that the masses of newspaper readers are absolutely unaware that it exists."

"The crowd," Le Bon said, doesn't "thirst after truth." It thinks, if at all, "in images." It is easily manipulated by the Wire Pullers, who know how to use the techniques of mind control on it.

"A hundred petty crimes or petty accidents will not strike the imagination of crowds in the least, whereas a single great crime or a single great accident will profoundly effect them, even though the results be infinitely less disastrous than those of five hundred accidents put together..." He said it's the "visible image" which makes the most serious impression on the imagination of the masses.

The San Diego housing market is one of the most expensive in the country and many first-time home buyers are simply priced out of the market. Even if you can somehow scrape together enough money for a down payment, rising interest rates and mortgage insurance make it exceedingly difficult to become a homeowner. That is, unless you happen to be an illegal alien.

If you are in the country illegally, don't have a valid social security number and use a taxpayer ID number instead, you're in luck. The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) has persuaded Citibank, one of the nation's largest banks, to help out. Illegal aliens in San Diego can purchase a home at below market interest rates, receive down payment assistance, and not have to take out mortgage insurance like other risky customers do.

A similar program instituted by Wells Fargo in the Los Angeles area attracted bad publicity, so Citibank is trying to keep quiet the fact that illegal aliens can get better deals on home mortgages than citizens. The position of the banks is that as long as there is a buck to be made off of illegal aliens, they are going to keep marketing to them. As Chuck Lemoine, a senior vice president at Wells Fargo said, "It's not only the right thing to do, it's good business."

YOUNGSTER'S BLACK-POWER POEM RILES SCHOOL

A 7-year-old prodigy unleashed a firestorm when she recited a poem she wrote comparing Christopher Columbus and Charles Darwin to "pirates" and "vampires" who robbed blacks of their identities and human rights.

Hundreds of parents of Peekskill middle- and high-school students received a recorded phone message last week apologizing for little Autum Ashante's poem, titled "White Nationalism Put U in Bondage." "Black lands taken from your hands, by vampires with no remorse," the aspiring actress and poet wrote. "They took the gold, the wisdom and all the storytellers. They took the black women, with the black man weak. Made to watch as they changed the paradigm of our village.

"Yeah white nationalism is what put you in bondage. Pirates and vampires like Columbus, Morgan and Darwin." Autum was invited to speak at the Westchester schools on Feb. 28 by Melvin Bolden, a music teacher at the middle school who advises the high school's Black Culture Club and is a member of the Peekskill City Council.

Autum, whose résumé includes several television appearances and performances at the Apollo Theater and the African Burial Ground in Manhattan, told The Post that her poem was meant to instill pride in black students and to encourage them to steer clear of violence. "I don't think there's anything wrong with my poem. I was trying to tell them the straight-up truth," Autum said. "I'm trying to tell them not to fight because they're killing the brothers and sisters." Autum, who is home-schooled in Mount Vernon and speaks several languages, prefaced her performance at the high school with a Black Panthers' pledge asking black youngsters to not harm one another.

It did not sit well with parents.

In a telephone interview with The Post, Bolden said Autum has been "unofficially" banned from performing in a district school again and that school officials would review transcripts of future speakers. "It's unfortunate, because some teachers said they wanted this little girl to explain the things she said to their students, but some parents don't want her on school grounds," Bolden said. "[The poem] might have been a little too aggressive for what the middle-school kids are ready to handle," Bolden added.

Kimberly Greene, a mother of children in the high school and middle school, said she was shocked when she got the recorded phone message. "If there are people who are upset about what she said, the schools should have talked about and analyzed it rather than send a message to everyone saying this little girl was offensive," Greene said. Autum's father, Batin Ashante, said he can't believe the fuss over his daughter's poem. "She's a little girl who does poetry about real things. She doesn't do poetry about cotton candy," Ashante said. "She's a serious little person."
