Subject: Israel - America's most dangerous enemy
Recently, one of the columns I wrote for STR generated considerable
discussion in the forum. Not surprisingly, the original idea, of a shooting
war breaking out in the Persian Gulf if Iran were attacked by the US or
Israel in June (as Scott Ritter said), diverted into a rather predictable
"Blame Israel" exchange. One writer noted, however, that June nukes may
indeed become airborne and if that happens, Adios, Holy Land.
"For decades American taxpayers have unwittingly provided the Jewish State
with enough free 'expendable' munitions to crush the Palestinian people in
their own country," wrote Joe Vialls, "and the Harpoon missile is classed as
an expendable munition. What this means is that Harpoon falls into the same
generic category as rifle bullets and hand grenades, so Washington went
ahead and gifted the Jewish State with more than fifty nuclear-capable
Harpoons."
Certainly the average American taxpayer has long been duped into donating to
the despots who rule the Middle East, not for any peaceful purposes really,
as well as being held hostage by the policy-makers in Washington, D.C. who
readily handcuff his paycheck. But funding a nuclear war--never mind the
huge armament giveaways--without input from you and me is the ultimate in
taxation without representation.
"Rest assured that the American-Israeli Harpoons are nuclear, and the
Zionists have every intention of using them on Tehran and Damascus if they
think they can get away with it. Dangerous people do dangerous things in
dangerous times, and there is nothing more dangerous that a pack of
religious fanatics with their backs to the Mediterranean," added Vialls.
You could sit back and say good riddance--let the nukes fly--a fitting
farewell to the whole false concept of the Holy Land, where tribal,
cultural, and religious wars have raged for some five or six thousand years
in a series of vicious sieges, battles and massacres. Indeed, one website
already discusses the the merits of a nuclear quick strike on another holy
city, Mecca. And I imagine jihadists have already discussed similar options
so, the theory goes, we'd better hit them first.
Unfortunately, any eye-for-an-eye scenario would likely have the whole world
choosing sides and targeting holy cities--Jerusalem not excluded. Here's
the second act of a scenario envisioned by Vialls, after our Neocons
predictably okay a first strike against the next likely target in their
gunsights, Iran. The author presupposes that Iran will have obtained nukes
from either China or Russia, although the Iranians, Russians and even Scott
Ritter deny this.
"Flying faster than rifle bullets, the Sunburns (see photo) will approach
Tel Aviv and Haifa at twice the speed of sound, detonating in blinding white
200 Kiloton flashes designed to instantly transform animal, vegetable and
mineral into heat and light. If I was an Israeli general facing this
doomsday response on my wife, my family and my synagogue, I would not launch
any Harpoons at all, but then I am not a religious fanatic obsessed with
killing Muslims and stealing their land. Unfortunately, reading the minds of
certifiable lunatics is all but impossible, so the best I can suggest is
that perhaps the Israelis will launch, and perhaps they will not."
Does the premise of destroying the Holy Land to save it sound ludicrous?
Isn't that about as ludicrous as imposing democracy at the point of a gun,
killing 120,000 Iraqis in the process, poisoning a landscape for countless
future generations, and scattering depleted uranium over the former Garden
of Eden? Sorry, I don't see much difference in the mindset.
Power Corrupts, as the president's favorite philosopher, Jesus, knew well.
And absolute power corrupts absolutely, as we've known all along. Witness
the attitude of the two disciples (above), James and John, who possessed
absolute power for the very first time. How intoxicating must it have been
to possess a quick strike, "fire from heaven" telepathic weapon? Obviously,
the very first Christian knew the answer to that. Unfortunately, those who
wield the real power today are about as loyal as Judas Iscariot and as
trustworthy as Cain.
IS THERE A MUSHROOM CLOUD IN OUR FUTURE?
An exchange of nukes over the so-called Holy Land is a distinct but a
growing possibility. Our American Herods--the unholy coalition of
Christians and Jews who resemble the Biblical Herod's and command ALL
aspects of US decision making power--make no pretense of friendly
persuasion. Nor do they possess many diplomatic skills aside from Red
Queen-style bluster. Indeed, their credo welcomes "a new Pearl Harbor"
scenario of sneak attacks followed by counterattacks. What sort of
provisions--or excuses--will they make once they've helped obliterate the
birthplace of three major religions? Indeed, the nuclear fallout might be
beyond even FEMA to repair.
Just recently The Sunday Times of England reported that Israel had specific
plans for a combined air and ground attack on Iranianatomic bomb picture
nuclear sites, if diplomatic efforts failed to halt the development of
Iran's nuclear program. Now suppose Vialls is right, and Russia has already
supplied Iran with nuclear weapons capability? The result might look like
this (photo) or maybe even something bigger, like an awesome display of the
devil's favorite finger paintings.
"In October 2001, Moscow and Tehran signed framework agreements for US$300
million to $400 million a year in the form of Russian military supplies to
Iran, including spare parts for Russian-made weapons, new fighter jets and
possibly air-defense, ground-to-ground and anti-ship systems," reported
Sergei Blagov in the Asia Times.
Even the lowliest field officer in the US Army knows that Iran isn't the
de-fanged kitten of Saddam's military but a wildcat willing and able to
fight. Only fools and fanatics who scarcely served would wander into the
weeds looking for a confrontation with a concealed quarry. Perhaps a few
high-ranking Pentagon officers can sway the hotheads who now hold the reins;
Godspeed any patriot--soldier or civilian--who can.
Because I imagine a nation of dimwit leaders, who cannot even devise a
life-saving plan to save one woman with a feeding tube, could hardly attain
the wisdom of Solomon or the compassion of Jesus. But if someone doesn't
acquire some diplomatic sense soon, we'll all be witnesses to an apocalyptic
light show the world will not soon forget. Coming to a shrine or holy site
near you.

African-American former St. Paul Police chief William Finley has stated
that there is a corruption investigation ongoing into possible
corruption in the city government. Hmong police officer Tou Ma Cha, who
has been charged with terroristic threats in connection with two
shootings told police that a prominent Hmong leader is tied to influence
peddling in City Hall and intimidation. Tou Cha stated that St. Paul
Hmong warlord Cha Vang stated he could get the City to keep the liquor
license at his Bangkok City nightclub in return for $10000-20000. The
investigation of City Hall corruption predates the arrest of Tou Cha.
Chan Vang called the allegations "phoney baloney". He is son of
Laotian warlord Gen. Vang Pao. Chan Vang is the community leader of the
tens of thousands of Hmongs in the St. Paul area. He is a real estate
developer with strong ties to the mayor's office under two
administrations. He worked as an assistant to Mayor Norm Coleman
1999-2000 and is close friends with Sia Lo, who holds that job now.
Tou Cha, 36. faces prosecution for allegely loaning out his
service revolver to a gangster who used the pistol in a 5/2004 shooting
at the Maplewood home of Xang Vang, a support of Gen. Vang Pao; Xang
Vang was suspected of stealing money from Gen Vang Pao. One day after
the shooting, the home of Xang Vang was burned down in an unsolved
arson. The same pistol had been used at a 11/2003 shooting at the
Hmong-owned Dara Thai Restaurant in Frogtown. Tou Cha claims that he
started loaning his gun only after Frogtown businessman Chue Chou Tchang
threatened Tou Cha and had his wife followed.
In 2002, Tou Cha and his wife Mai Her faced the loss of the
liquor license for their nightclub. They allege that Cha Vang offered to
secure their license with a $10000-20000 bribe for city officials. Tou
Cha stated the bribe was for African-American (now former) city council
member Jerry Blakely. Blakely notes that the allegation is "offensive"
and racist.
Tou Cha did not pay the bribe and lost his liquor license.
Police chief Harrington stated that the bar was closed because of
chronic underage drinking, fighting and code violations.
The police expressed disappointment in Tou Cha for siding with
the Hmong gangsters, but he was candid in explaining his reasoning:
"Well, I know that I'm a cop and a lot of times we can't be protected
all the time. And with the power they have and money and people they
have, if I go to the cops, you known, I'm going to be dead or my life is
gonna be jeopardized. That's why all this year, you known, I've been so
stressed from being intimidated and scared. And people are afraid of the
general and his group... People have a lot of anger and hatred against
him and they don't want to come forward and say it because they were
afraid. And I'm one of them."
After Tou Cha made this statement, his house in Little Canada
was burned down in an unsolved arson. The police labeled the arson a
hate crime against Hmongs because Tou Cha is a Hmong.

Tibetan Tash Dorjee, 22, notes that the murder of two of his friends
outside Jimmy's Pro Billiards did not make any sense. Both were shot in
the back. Police believe that Dorjee's friends, one Cambodian and one
Tibetan, were killed when they were mistaken for members fo a rival gang
by the shooters. The two men killed were Bunean Lienh, 19, a Cambodian,
and Tashi Sonam Jagottsang, 21, a Tobetan, both of Minneapolis.
When the Hmong gangsters arrived, the Tibetans called in a
carload of their Tibetan friends, bringing thier side to a dozen.
There are 1300 Tibetans in Minneapolis. The Tibetan American
Association of Minneapolis is confirmed that the elevated higher culture
of Tibetans is being defiled by their contact with American culture.
Six Hmong, five men and one woman, members of the Men of
Destruction (aka Masters of Destruction), were charged in the murders:
Jason Moua, Helene Yang, Grogan Yang, Charles Yang, Sai Vanh and Meng
Vang. The gangs is described by the Minnesota Gang Strike Force as one
of the most violent gangs in the state. The gang has murdered many, many
people in Minneapolis, St. Paul and their suburbs.

Condi Rice Talks Down to Europe, Asia

During her meetings with foreign leaders in Washington and the many world
capitals she has visited recently, U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice
sounded like a kindergarten teacher warning rowdy kids that if they won't behave,
they could end up standing in the "Axis of Evil" corner. Meanwhile, those who
had learned by heart the entire Inaugural Address of President George W. Bush
earned her admiration.
Ms. Rice disparaged the Europeans for considering the lifting of an arms
embargo on China – a move, she explained, that could threaten the delicate
military balance in East Asia, as the U.S. regards itself as the peacekeeper in the
area and would look harshly on any European interference. "It is the United
States, not Europe, that has defended the Pacific," she said. She then lectured
the Chinese on the need to pressure the North Koreans, and told reporters that
China could be "a positive influence in the region," adding, however, that it
could just as easily become the region's biggest problem.
America's diplomatic mission, and hers, she said, was "to guide it to the
positive side of the ledger." At the same time as "guiding" China, Ms. Rice has
been leading an effort aimed at helping India become a "major world power in
the 21st century." And when it comes to the "broader" Middle East, the chief
U.S. diplomat continued to lecture its people on the need to join the U.S.-led
March toward Freedom, which would now be marketed to the world by Karen Hughes,
Mr. Bush's former top media spinner.
In fact, Ms. Rice and her aides are now grading the progress to democracy of
the Middle East on an almost daily basis. Good grades are rewarded with U.S.
dollars and photo opportunities with Mr. Bush, while an "F" could bring, in
some extreme cases, an American military occupation. Ms. Rice even canceled her
stop in Cairo to punish the Egyptian government after it arrested a political
activist.
What infuriates many non-Americans, including friends of the U.S., is not
only the patronizing America-knows-best tone of Ms. Rice that echoes the attitude
projected by past imperial powers toward their satellites. The most
problematic aspect of the current American global approach is the continuing tension
between the hegemonic U.S. that reflects its own strategic and economic
interests, and the idealistic and missionary pretensions that Washington exhibits.
Excusing America
Neoconservative ideologues resolve this tension by interjecting the idea of
"American exceptionalism." Since America is the upholder of the ideals of
freedom and democracy, then, by definition, whatever it does to spread liberty
abroad, including the use of military force, should be blessed by all people of
goodwill everywhere. The means to achieve those lofty goals can at times be
harsh, but what counts are the intentions of the U.S., which, unlike those of
other former global powers – Rome, the Ottomans, Britain, the Soviet Union, etc.
– are to "do good" and are supposedly devoid of any element of self-interest.
Indeed, America is like the kindergarten teacher who sometimes inflicts harsh
punishment on the naughty kid, but who is only motivated by a commitment to
the broader public good – the teacher actually suffers when he or she is forced
to discipline the bad boy by detaining him after class. But, hey, someone has
to do the dirty work.
In the real world, however, as opposed to the democracy movie produced by Ms.
Rice and Mrs. Hughes, the U.S. is engaged in promoting its political,
economic, and military interests. It is trying to contain the threat from terrorist
groups, maintain a hegemonic position in the Middle East to the exclusion of
other regional players like Iran and global powers like the EU, and protect its
military supremacy in East Asia against the challenge from China. Therefore,
the gap between the lofty ideals it is supposed to represent and the crude
interests it advances will be exposed sooner or later.
Notable Inconsistencies
After bashing the "cynical" and "greedy" Europeans for contemplating the
removal of a 20-year-old arms embargo on China – none of the members of the EU had
been actually planning to sell any arms to the Chinese – Washington announces
that it will sell F-16 jet fighters to Pakistan.
Isn't the deal going to keep American defense contractors and the guys at the
Pentagon happy? You mean you really think that we are doing that to promote
U.S. global economic and military interests? Moi? How dare you? It's all done
in order to "improve regional security," Washington explains. But isn't the
move going to destabilize South Asia and force India to buy more planes? Perhaps,
but then we would sell them F-16s and stability would be reestablished in the
Indian subcontinent.
And what about the promotion of democracy in the "broader" Middle East? Isn't
Pakistani President General Pervez Musharraf a military dictator who ousted a
democratically elected government? Isn't Pakistan an Islamic theocracy that
is dominated by corrupt oligarchs and unlike, say, Iran, actually has a nuclear
bomb? Wasn't Mr. Musharraf's top scientist selling nuclear technology to all
those "Axis of Evil" types? Well – okay. But then America is helping India,
the world's largest democracy, become a "major world power in the 21st century"
and that would help to contain the potential threat from Pakistan.
And that, my friends, should not be construed as "cynicism." Like your
kindergarten teacher and other saintly figures, America works in mysterious ways.
One day when you grow up, you'll understand.

Prelude to the Total State

Capitalism died in 1929 according to the esteemed pundits of our day. Since that fateful year, the prominent intellectuals and politicians of our country have been promoting the welfare state as a "safe, responsible, middle ground" between the opposite poles of capitalism and socialism -- the perfect system to preserve freedom, maintain economic stability, and bring about the good life.
Today's chaotic and corrupted America does little, though, to reinforce this notion. What the last seventy years have shown with their epileptic breakdown in socio-economic order, is that the welfare state is not a stable middle ground at all, but a highly unstable mixture of individual freedom and government intervention that is evolving steadily away from freedom toward an all pervasive statism.
It becomes more apparent every year that what Ludwig von Mises repeatedly declared throughout his extensive works is true, that there can never be an inbetween of the two political-economic systems of capitalism and socialism -- that is an inbetween that remains an inbetween. All systems that try to promote a mixture of both free enterprise and state intervention inevitably evolve into some form of authoritarian statism. There are three major reasons why this is so. Let's investigate each of them in detail.
Interventions Bring More Interventions
1) The first reason why the welfare state cannot sustain freedom is the famous Misesian thesis: Government interventions always breed economic dislocations that "necessitate" more government interventions.
For example, no government can pay for the extravagances of welfarism solely with taxes, for the productive members of society will stand for only so much taxation. Thus the politicians in power inevitably turn to the expedient of monetary inflation through manipulation by the Federal Reserve to pay for their extravagance.
Here is where the chain reaction of government interventions and dislocations really begins to play havoc. You can't inflate the money supply through the Federal Reserve without eventually causing higher prices. If you try to stop the rising prices with government price controls and rigging of the markets, you then limit profits; but you can't limit profits without lessening personal production, and you can't lessen personal production without eventually causing product shortages. But product shortages raise prices still further, and if price rigging is in effect, create economic chaos, malinvestment, black markets and corruption. If you attempt to control all the factors of production and the goods and services they produce in an effort to eliminate the chaos and corruption, then you must also control consumer choices and personal ambitions, for they determine what the factors of production are to produce. But you can't control consumer choices and personal ambitions without controlling the human mind; and you can't control the human mind without controlling education, the press, television, movies, books, etc. There is no end to the mania of government intervention except all-pervasive intervention -- i.e., dictatorship.

European Court Rejects Land Claims in former East Germany

A European court rejects compensation claims made by former landowners for
the loss of East German land between 1945 and 1949, knocking back the 71
cases. The ruling will save Berlin billions in payments and discourage similar
suits in the future.
After World War II over 3 million hectares of land were confiscated by the
occupying Soviet forces. About 7,000 of those properties belonged to the
Prussian nobility, or Junkers. In addition, 4,300 smaller holdings were taken from
people accused of being Nazi sympathizers.
Although it is generally agreed that the confiscations were illegal, carried
out both brutally and in many cases as a way of getting back for personal ven
dettas, bids for more than the minimal compensation already paid by the
government have been rejected three times by German law courts including the
Federal Constitutional Court, the country's highest. Now even the European Court
of Human Rights in Strasbourg, whose judges have a reputation for siding with
former property owners, has ruled that the claims for compensation have no
standing. And once a case has been tried in Strasbourg, European options for
appeal have already been expired. It is this decision, unexpected by even the
most pessimistic of the claimants, which fascinates German editorialists on

With Gay Games VII coming to Chicago in July 2006, the state is launching its first targeted push for gay and lesbian travelers, broadening its efforts to sell Illinois to niche markets.
"We will have our first-ever media-familiarization trip focusing on the affluent gay and lesbian market," Jan Kostner, deputy director of the Illinois Bureau of Tourism, told 600 travel professionals gathered Wednesday at the 18th annual Illinois Governor's Conference on Tourism.
The initiative comes about a year after the state more than doubled annual budgets for marketing to two other fast-growing travel-market sectors--African-Americans and Latinos. The state will spend $350,000 to market to each group, both this fiscal year and the next, which begins July 1.
Two Chicago-based firms are doing the marketing: Beaman Inc. for the African-American audience and the San Jose Group for the Hispanic market.
African-Americans, Hispanics and Asian-Americans combined spent about $90 billion on domestic travel in 2002, representing 19 percent of spending that year, according to the most recent data available from the Travel Industry Association of America. Those demographic groups are increasing their travel at significantly faster rates than the overall population.

I attended government school. I do not recall my interaction with my peers as a positive force in learning to treat people with respect. I recall slower students being called "retard." I recall people with acne being viciously ridiculed. I recall children from poor families being ridiculed for not having the best clothes. I recall smart children being ridiculed for being smart. I recall children being beaten up for no reason. I may be missing something but that doesn't seem to me a good way of teaching children to treat people with respect. When children are the primary source of socialization then childish values will be transmitted.

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) -- "Guess Who" puts the spin on "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" by putting a white guy in the hot seat when he's visiting his African-American girlfriend's family. Ashton Kutcher, who stars as the white guy in the film opening Friday (March 25), says his idea of also making his character Jewish was cut out of the movie at the last minute.
The jokes were filmed, but director Kevin Sullivan took out all the references. Kutcher says he originally came up with the idea when he and Bernie Mac discussed the film and brought it to Sony Pictures.
"I decided that I wanted to play my character Jewish, to have another difference because Bernie is Christian in the movie and I decided that I wanted to play my character Jewish just to have another difference," Kutcher says, telling Zap2it.com it was minor stuff, like saying, "Shabot Shalom, stuff like that."
But Sullivan says he didn't want the racism issue to also get mixed in with the religious issues. "I didn't want people to think it was about Christianity or Judaism," the director says.
And so, Kutcher says, "Every Jewish reference that I made in the film got cut out."

Students expressed shock last week when a popular history professor suddenly was dismissed. Then many expressed disbelief after they discovered an audio-enhanced website where he spoke out against Jews and blacks, including FDU basketball players.
"He was my favorite professor," said one student. "I can't believe it is the same man."
In fact, Jacques Pluss, an adjunct professor at the Metropolitan Campus, openly discussed his March 21 dismissal from Fairleigh Dickinson in a 44-minute interview on a website of the National Socialist Movement designed with swastikas and a picture of Adolf Hitler.
Pluss said he was "removed" from his classroom duties when he received a brief phone call at 5:30 p.m. from the department chairman who, he said, told him he was being released "for the convenience of the university" the following day. "I was stolen away in the night," he said. Pluss reported that he will be paid his salary through the end of this semester. He also said he will retire from "the academic world" and devote himself to the cause of the White Aryan Race Nation.
The professor speculated that he was dismissed because of his work with the National Socialist Movement on the internet, adding that the university "followed the typical Jewish, lawyerly, Hebrew line." He suggested that a "watchdog group" may have alerted FDU about his activities beyond the classroom.
During one segment of the conversation, Pluss said the university did not want adverse publicity while its Division 1 basketball team was in the NCAA playoffs. He said the players are "n--- to the core" and "sit in the back of my class with CDs and earphones" listening to "ghastly rap music."
Earlier in the same broadcast, Pluss referred to the "browning of America" and called FDU a "heavily Judaized institution" with a large minority student population. He said those students are "floating their way through school on taxpayer dollars," adding that it (FDU) is "not just browned, but singed." He also discussed attending a recent "gathering" of the White Aryan Race Nation in South Carolina, commenting that he had been gratified by the turnout.
Talking about his sudden dismissal, Pluss said it was "a terrible thing to do for students" who will have to deal with "a new teaching style, a new course outline and exams." He said he learned that "half of the class did try to speak with the department chairman" about his departure, but "were told to leave the building."
Pluss also said he "was not teaching any particular ideology" in his classes because of his training, specifically at the University of Chicago where he earned a Ph.D.
The audio broadcast apparently was posted on Tuesday, March 22, the day after Pluss was dismissed. Within 24 hours, word had spread among students, especially residents, that his views could be heard by conducting a Google search using his name.
"I feel that the college did what was necessary to protect its students from any type of emotional danger or law suits that could have come up because of him belonging to the National Socialist Movement," said junior Ameniki Omotola, an international student from Trinidad. "Dr. Pluss never appeared to be a person who supported white supremacy. In fact, this really shocked me when I saw his name on the website. His classes were entertaining, and I could say I learned a lot."
Sophomore Charles White said Pluss was one of his favorite teachers during his freshman year. "Pluss never came off to me in class as a man who supported white supremacy," he said. "He was one of my favorite teachers and I talked highly of him. I really liked him, and now I'm ashamed I ever did. I feel the school did the right thing in firing him."
Senior Christopher Langford said he was shocked and disappointed when he found out about Dr. Pluss. "I had no idea that he was an alleged racist," he said. "Now that I think about it, Dr. Pluss seemed to have a morbid fascination with Hitler and Nazism. But he never once taught propaganda or expressed his views in class. He came off as being liberal in his thinking. An incident arose in class about racism, and he appeared to be very anti-racist."
Meanwhile, the Equinox received a press release from the National Socialist Movement, based in Minneapolis, Minn.; it was dated March 23 and emailed by Jacques Pluss.
The release stated: "The NSM officially condemns Fairleigh Dickinson University for engaging in acts of left-wing McCarthyism. This past Monday, Professor Jacque Pluss was removed from his teaching position apparently for no other reason than being a member of NSM. It is against every concept of the Constitution and the principles of our republic and an act of sheer stupidity for the powers that be to force anyone to leave job [sic] simply because of his/her legal political affiliations. If American universities truly stand for the market place of ideas, and of freedom of expression, then we must protect all, including Professor Jacques Pluss . . . We at the NSM also realize that the Constitution is best protected in a free marketplace of ideas rather than by school officials that may be controlled by political correctness and Jews."
However, the university administration gave quite a different reason for the dismissal. "He was released for the official reason of (having) six absences and not making them up," said Dean of University College John Snyder. "As a professor, he did not meet that requirement."
Snyder responded to the professor's claim that he was released for the "convenience" of the university. "It's the Universities responsibility to take care of its students and the academics of the students," Snyder said.
Pluss was replaced in the classroom by Prof. Michelle Hartman. According to Snyder, she reported that students were upset and asking many questions. "Students were really upset because they didn't ever get anything that indicated he was basically a hate monger," said Snyder. "The term they used was 'betrayal.' They felt betrayed for the most part."
"We don't do FBI-style security checks for adjunct professors for the reason that we have an incredible number of adjunct professors," Snyder continued. "Also, when reviewing background information, you can never obtain information from previous employers on why they (former employees) were released or let go. They never disclose reasons for leaving." He said the University discovered the professor's Nazi associations after he had left his position.
Snyder said that, when the department decided to dismiss him, nobody knew his whereabouts. After the University discovered his outside activities, research showed that he was making Nazi statements. "I don't really know what the initial resource was for getting to the website - I don't know how students found out," said Snyder.
Attempts by the Equinox to reach Faramarz Fatemi, director of the School of History, Political and International Studies, who informed the professor of his release, were unsuccessful.
Freshman Tiara Johnson felt that Pluss never came off as a white supremacist. "I would have never guessed it in a million years," she said. "I just don't understand how he could smile in our faces and have long conversations with black students [in class], but carry so much hatred for us deep down inside. One thing I noticed was that he missed about five or six classes this semester, but never told us where or why he was gone."
Sophomore Marc Eichler said that, when he heard that Dr. Pluss was a member of the National Socialist Movement, he nearly fell out his chair. "I'm Jewish, but the guy never had anything against me -in fact, he gave me an A," he said. "He never came off as being a racist. I would discuss issues regarding my religion in class, and he never said anything."
Senior Allison Baretz said that a professor does not belong at FDU teaching issues such as the Holocaust when he himself believes in it. "During class he never really came off as a man who supported white supremacy, but after knowing his actions and thinking back, there were some signs," she said. "He talked a lot about religion. He did not want to teach the Holocaust for more than one class (an hour and a half). And he asked us to write a journal as if we were in the shoes of a German soldier during the Holocaust, asking us how we would react. For our mid-term, he gave us a question of comparing and contrasting the Holocaust and the rise of Nazi Germany to modern-day terrorism. I have this reaction because I am Jewish, and to have a 'Nazi' teacher does not go over well. I am extremely relieved that the school made this decision to fire Dr. Pluss and did not disregard it and let him stay."
"He was one of my favorite teachers," Langford said. "I even wanted to nominate him as Faculty Member of the Year for the SGA Gala."

I and other 'traditional Catholics' no longer recognize the Vatican as being representative of Church policy in the past. By way of suggestion, I would recommend that interested people try to obtain the book, "Judaism and the Vatican," by Vicomte Leon de Poncins, as well as "The Plot Against the Church,' by Maurice Pinays. These two books are excellent primers if one wishes to understand the drastic revolution which has occurred within the Catholic Church since the death of Pius XII.

Report on Student Intimidation at Columbia Inadequate; Findings on Anti-Semitism A "Red Herring"
New York, NY, March 31, 2005 ... The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) today responded to the findings of a report by the committee investigating allegations of intimidation of Jewish students by faculty at Columbia University.
Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director, issued the following statement:
It's a sad day at Columbia University. The report by the Ad Hoc Grievance Committee protects the faculty, gives little credibility to the students, and comes up with no solutions at all to deal with the concerns about intimidation. The report's finding that there was no anti-Semitism is a red herring, since no one in responsibility has ever charged the university with engaging in anti-Semitism. The issue is, and has always been the alleged intimidation of pro-Israel students by faculty members. That issue is inadequately addressed by the report.
While the report in its language tries to present itself as balanced, the bottom line is that the students who felt intimidated before this inquiry are not better off now than they were before. Rather than focusing on the concerns of students, the report tries to balance the blame and create an equivalency between the professors and the students. The report concludes that some professors in the Middle Eastern and Asian Language and Cultures Department crossed the line, but there are no recommendations for how the university should deal with that conduct, now or in the future.
Now is the time for President Lee Bollinger to speak out clearly and to take leadership to initiate or spell out a course of action that would reassure students that intimidation will not happen again at the university. The report provides no basis for accomplishing that. As President Bollinger has said, there are limits to academic freedom, and unless he is able to reinforce a sense of sympathy with the students, the university will be unable to create an atmosphere where students can feel comfortable with expressing their own points of view.
