Governor threatens to call National Guard on pro-immigrant march in Phoenix

Phoenix, Arizona will take center stage on the immigration debate this weekend and on Monday. Tomorrow, April 8, over 300 delegates from various Mexican, Mexican-American and other Latino organizations are expected to attend a summit conference in downtown Phoenix to plan the details of the upcoming "Gran Boicot" to take place nationally on May 1st.

"El Gran Boicot" has received international support and its aim is to paralyze the US economy. The summit conference is to take place at the Bill Soltero Hall at 512 W. Adams Street in downtown. Representatives from Mexico, Cuba, Venezuela and other countries will be attending.

On Monday April 10, Phoenix will see the largest march and rally in its history. The pro-immigrant rally will start at the Fairgrounds at W. MacDowell Road and N. 19th Avenue at 11:00 am. The march will proceed south on 19th Avenue to the Arizona State Capitol.

White people have been quite nervous about the huge gathering of Mexicans and other Latinos at the state's capital. State Senator Ronald Gould, a racist Republican from Lake Havasu City, has been pressuring Governor Janet Napolitano to call in the National Guard against the marchers. Governor Napolitano has been cautious about calling in the National Guard in advanced but she did hint to the press that she might. "The National Guard is always available under any circumstance," she said. "The National Guard is always available," she repeated.

Human rights groups will be among the marchers with video cameras just in case the authorities or racist agent provocateurs decide to incite any violence.

Subject: ADL's latest reality-reversing report out

ADL says: Attacks on U.S. Jews fell in 2005

By Shlomo Shamir

NEW YORK -- The number of anti-Semitic incidents in the United States dropped slightly in 2005, but the extent of the problem remains significant and alarming, the Anti-Defamation League said Wednesday in its annual report on anti-Semitic hate crimes.

The report, based on reports to ADL regional offices in 42 U.S. states, concludes that there were 1,757 anti-Semitic incidents in 2005 - down 3 percent from the record number of incidents reported in 2004 (1,821).

"While any decline is encouraging, we remain concerned because too many people continue to act out their anti-Jewish hatred," ADL National Director Abraham Foxman said.

The report, considered the most reliable gauge of anti-Semitism in the United States, also indicates that the motives and forces behind the anti-Semitic incidents in 2005 were similar to the trends that characterized previous years.

One factor is the activity of neo-Nazi organizations and groups that disseminate racist hate.

[Free speech critical of jews is redefined by hate hebrews as "crime." The media reports this double standard with a straight face, for it is owned by - ah, if you can't see it, you're blind. Imagine a report toting up the numbers of "white trashes" and "rednecks" and "Eurotrashes" appearing in the judenpresse.]

Another troubling factor is anti-Semitic activity on college campuses. In 2005, ADL received reports of 98 anti-Semitic incidents on campuses - an increase of nearly one-third, from 74 incidents in 2004.

The year 2005 saw a decline in vandalism against synagogues and Jewish institutions, from 644 in 2004 to 617. There was also a slight drop in the number of reported anti-Semitic assaults and harassment - from 1,177 incidents in 2004 to 1,140 in 2005.

"We have always said that America is different, that the Jewish communities here are fortunate to be largely immune from the kind of anti-Semitic violence experienced by some European Jewish communities," Foxman said. "But the numbers remain sobering because we know from painful experience that it only takes one incident of anti-Semitism to affect an entire community." http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/703432.html

Subject: no right to market to whites

Abercrombie & Whiteness

Kevin Pitts

April 05, 2006

The majority of white America has always been deeply invested into strict notions and definitions of beauty, and unfortunately, blackness has never truly been fully integrated into this definition. During the 19th century, advertising and literature that shaped America's cultural imagination of beauty defined blackness as antithetical to beauty. The "black is beautiful" movement of the '60s was an attempt to combat these stereotypes, and most of these images have faded away, but unfortunately America's internalized desire to equate whiteness with beauty has not.

Abercrombie & Fitch is an example of a company that has exploited America's historical understanding of whiteness as beauty. The majority of white college populations in particular have had a strong allegiance to the A&F brand. For instance, here at Maryland, on Facebook, the A&F group has more than 100 members, while popular clothing companies such as American Eagle and The Gap, which share similar market demographics to A&F, have only 25 members combined. A&F enjoys this popularity because it has truly invested in a whitewashed marketing strategy that categorically excludes minorities.

In 2003, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission sued A&F for discrimination against ethnic minorities its hiring of "brand representatives" and in the majority of its advertising. The lawsuit detailed how A&F aggressively recruited the majority of their "brand representatives" at historically white fraternities and sororities. Brand reps are young employees who work the floor and assist customers with merchandise, and there were strict regulations about who could become a brand rep that covertly asserted whiteness. In the training manual for brand reps known as "The Look Book," A&F calls for a "natural, classic, American" look and prohibits its brand reps from having shaved heads or dreadlocks. The Look Book also prohibits gold chains for men and also stated that women wearing hoop earrings or dangling earrings were "unacceptable." By using these racially charged guidelines that covertly played off of silly class and racial stereotypes, A&F was able to maintain a predominately white middle/upper-class workforce. And if minority reps were somehow hired, the lawsuit detailed that they were either fired or moved to the stock room or the overnight staff.

A&F's celebration of whiteness marketing and employment strategy that exploits America's racism and classism for financial gain and prominence in the fashion world is beyond reproach, but they are not alone. Fashion magazine covers have also equated whiteness with beauty. When Halle Berry appeared on the cover of Cosmopolitan in 2002, she became only the fifth black woman to do so since the magazine began using cover photographs in 1964 and the first black woman since 1990. A recent survey of the magazine covers of Elle, Harpers, Vogue and W between 1998 and 2002 discovered that minorities were only represented on their covers about 9 percent of the time. Many whites prior to the civil rights era believed blacks personified a "problem" and needed to be segregated to the margins of American definitions of beauty and sexuality. Unfortunately the seeds of this mindset, though less solidified today, have manifested themselves in contemporary media outlets.

In 2004, A&F settled and agreed to pay $40 million to more than 10,000 employees, former employees and job applicants discriminated against and promote diversity in its workforce and advertising campaigns. I remain skeptical of its newfound morality. News of the settlement didn't cause much of a stir, and the majority of die-hard A&F fans probably didn't think twice before they threw on their overpriced cargo shorts and striped polo shirts and trekked across the campus. It just shows how powerful market forces have penetrated the consciousness of white America and compelled it to continue to ignore discrimination that's right under its noses as long as its "natural, classic, American," and looks good on their backs.

Kevin,

I have debated for awhile whether to write you an email since I was annoyed that you always wrote about "black" issues. Then I realized that you were probably the Diversity columnist and that was your job..to write about minority issues. Just as your niche among Diamondback columnists is to write about one general topic, A & F has chosen to market their merchandise to one group of people: Upper-Class College students. Just as plenty of other brands clearly market to Black Youth and make sizeable profits that way, A & F is doing what most successful companies do and that is finding a niche in the market and building a positive brand image. I am certainly not a rich kid, and I certainly don't shop frequently at A & F, but I must defend American capitalism and A & F's choice to market to whomever they choose. I am, however, a shareholder of the company and have more than doubled my initial investment since 2002. So my advice to you is if you can't beat 'em, join 'em and make some money for yourself when A & F charges the hell out of daddy's credit card (ticker symbol: ANF). Or, an alternative would be Citi Trends (CTRN), which sells RocaWear and PhatFarm, whos stock has doubled since the May 2005 IPO.

Subject: Mexicans: unneeded, unwanted

JOBS AMERICANS WON'T DO

by H. Millard

I'm still trying to figure out which jobs Americans won't do that the elites such as President Bush, Senator Kennedy and Senator McCain are always talking about.

I can only speak for myself--just this one American--but I've worked in fields. I've slopped hogs. I've shoveled manure. I've worked in factories. I've painted cars. I've worked in a foundry. I've washed dishes. I've bussed dishes. I've waited on tables. I've worked for a newspaper. I've shoveled snow. I've worked in offices. I've fixed cars. I've mowed lawns. I've worked as a caddy. I've worked as a salesman. I've worked as an actor. I've worked as a writer. I've worked in construction. I also served in the Marines.

And, those are just some of the jobs I did for pay for others. In addition, I've cleaned my own toilets, raised my own kids, mowed my own lawn, fixed my cars myself, and done all those other things that Americans won't do.

And, funny thing, all the Americans I've known over the years were all doing the same sorts of things I was doing. But, of course, no Americans I've known were born with silver spoons in their mouths. No American I've known was the son of a President, as is the present President Bush, and none of the Americans I've known attended the most expensive and prestigious New England prep school as did President Bush, and no Americans I've known were as rich as the Kennedy's and no Americans I've known were the sons of Navy Admirals as is John McCain. Nope. Most Americans I've known were salt of the earth types. Good, decent people trying to make better lives for themselves and their families by working hard doing jobs that Americans won't do.

When you hear the fou fou crowd composed of the likes of Bush, Kennedy and McCain talk about jobs that Americans won't do, you should translate that to mean that these are jobs that the rich elites won't do. Might muss up their dainty little hands, don't you know.

Do yourself a favor, dear American citizen doing a job that Americans won't do, and stop thinking that Bush and his pals are just like you. They're not. They won't do jobs that ordinary Americans will do and because they won't do them, they think no Americans will do them. They live in a different world from most ordinary American citizens. This is the crowd that doesn't know what the inside of a supermarket looks like and who have never changed the oil on their own cars. Don't be fooled by the down-home twang and accents and the just folks public persona of some of these characters. They're not like you, and they don't have your best interests at heart. They have contempt for you. They want to flood the nation with cheap illegal alien labor to benefit their buddies at the country club and keep wages of ordinary Americans low.

And, do you really think that the United States of America, with a population of about 300 million souls, doesn't have enough people to generate entry level workers all on our own without taking in illegal aliens? If you believe this, then you might want to check your suggestibility quotient, because the elites seem to have filled your brain with lies and propaganda as surely as a stage hypnotist fills a highly suggestible audience member's brain with the belief that the audience member should cluck like a chicken.

Again, I can't speak for anyone else, but I've never seen a job that I thought was beneath me and I've always believed that physical work is not only ennobling, but can, under the right circumstances, give a proper perspective on life.

As far as how one goes about one's life, I've always thought that laborer/philosopher Eric Hoffer,* another American who wouldn't do the work that Americans won't do, had it right in many ways.

I'm an American and there's no job I won't do. And, I know I'm not the only one who feels this way. In fact, I'm willing to bet that there are many millions of Americans who feel the same way.

France Wants to 'Choose' Its Immigrants

By JENNY BARCHFIELD

Associated Press Writer

April 7, 2006, 4:15 AM EDT

PARIS -- The curtain falls on a bevy of near-naked dancers in feathered headdresses, and Adir Rafael Pires glides into action. As a set-changer at the Lido, the racy cabaret on Paris' Champs-Elysees, Pires could not be farther from his desert birthplace: Cape Verde, a rocky, drought-stricken archipelago off West Africa's coast.

But the door that allowed Pires to make France his home may now be closing. France, like other European countries, is taking a harder look at the immigrants it lets in.

The drive toward "selective" immigration is inspired by electoral politics, by fears that some immigrants are not integrating and may even be vectors for terrorism and militant Islam, and by widely shared concerns that immigrants overtax welfare systems and compete for scarce jobs.

Subject: confused Christians try to 'splain things with jeboo gibberish

The Lingering Death of Christian Europe

By Bruce Walker (04/05/2006)

Two months ago I wrote an article, Forgotten History - Christians and the Holocaust - which notes that what Europe needed in 1933 were more Christians, not fewer. The article details the consistent and solitary voice in opposition to HaShoah were Christians. Now, when the voice of Christianity seems increasingly dim amid the din of paganism and Islam militant, it is worth recalling that the source of nearly all modern miseries can be traced to the decline of Christianity in Europe in the late Nineteenth and early Twentieth centuries (as I note in my book, Sinisterism: Secular Religion of the Lie.)

The same anti-Semitism of the late Nineteenth Century that led to the Dreyfus Affair in France, was just as hateful toward Christianity: hatred of Christianity and anti-Semitism often went hand in hand with the worship of socialism. The government of France before the Great War required senior officers to report those officers under their command who attended Mass. This cabinet office regulating religions called the Ministry of Cults.

The Third Republic of France that persecuted Dreyfus, was so hostile to Christianity that during the Great War there was an acute shortage of nurses, because most nurses had been nuns ("sisters") and driven or harassed into exile. The Dreyfus Affair was not because France was too Christian, but not Christian enough.. The leader of the so-called "Right" in France was a rabid opponent of Christianity and his articles about priests and nuns rivaled the pornographic and repulsive articles of Nazis like Julius Streicher about lecherous Jews preying on innocent Aryan virgins (and similar tripe.)

When did Germans begin to reject Christianity? J. Salwyn Schapiro, in his 1940 edition of Modern and Contemporary European History notes that Bismarck was bitterly anti-clerical and was little influenced by religion at all. Prussia, under Bismarck, in 1872 passed "May Laws" which required civil, rather than religious, marriages, which suppressed many religious orders, which resulted in the jailing of many clergymen, the confiscation of much church property and the closing of many churches.

Price Collier in his 1913 book, Germany and the Germans, notes how both anti-Semitism and anti-Christianity not only coexisted in Imperial Germany, helped support one another: "The German sees a danger to his hardly own national life in the cosmopolitanism of the Jew; he sees a danger to his duty-doing, simple-living, and hard-working governing aristocracy in the tempting luxury of the recently rich Jew; and besides these objective reasons, he is instinctively antagonistic, as though he were born of the clouds of heaven and the Jew of clods of earth. This does not mean that the German is a believer, in the orthodox sense of the word, for this he is not. He loves the things of the mind not because he thinks of them as of divine creation, and as showing an allegiance to a divine Creator, but because they are the playthings of his own manufacture that amuse him most. His superiority to other nations is that he claims to enjoy maturer toys. Not even France is so entirely unencumbered by orthodox restraints in matters of faith." Later Price writes the following, again, this is Imperial Germany before the Great War, the Versailles Treaty, the Second World War or HaShoah: "In Germany half-baked thinking, following upon, and as the result of, the barracks and corporal methods of education, have turned the Protestant population from the churches. The slovenly and patchy omniscience of the partly educated, leads them to believe that they know enough not to believe."

In his book, The Dictators, Richard Overy states that in the decades preceding the First World War Germany was becoming increasingly secular, and that after that war, from 1918 to 1931, 2.4 Million Evangelical Christians formally renounced their faith as well as almost half a million Catholics. In Prussia, only twenty-one percent of the population took communion and in Hamburg only five percent took communion. Long before Hitler, German religious leaders were publicly condemning the rise of moral relativism and decline of traditional religious values.

Professor Litchtenberger in his 1937 book, The Third Reich, describes pre-Nazi Germany as a place in which the large cities were ‘spiritual cemeteries' with almost no believers at all, except for those who were members of the clergy. The middle class went through the motions, but lacked all living faith. The workers, influenced by socialism, were suspicious of the church. Even in the countryside, preachers had little influence on the people.

In the 1938 book, The War Against God, by Sidney Dark and R.S. Essex, this pre-Nazi antipathy toward Christianity is described as having lost all its vitality and its services were lifeless. The same year Mower wrote in Germany Puts the Clock Back, Mower that by 1920, God and Christianity had been in steady decline, a process that had begun in 1860. Then Mower describes a culture not so much causal as vicious about sexuality, art sickened into atonal music, the absence of any sense of sin, and the entire graduating classes in high school turning up for birth control devices as well as the commonplace occurrence of abortion.

Why is Europe dying? Europe is dying or decaying because it has lost all faith, and that is a process that began a century ago. Selfish pensioners, eating their grandchildren's seed corn; sexual animals prowling instead of divinely created men and women loving; the hatred of purpose - all these converge like scavengers on the dying carcass of a continent that has committed spiritual suicide.

Subject: tired old Cochran pitches bs to the brainwashed

FORMER RACIST:

Friday, April 07, 2006

BY JEFF KART

TIMES WRITER

It's easy to hate, and easy to ignore hate groups. But we do so at are our own peril, Floyd Cochran told a roomful of more than 100 people at the YWCA in Bangor Township on Thursday. About 10 people showed up to oppose Cochran, a former member of the Ku Klux Klan and former youth recruiter with the Aryan Nations. But they sat in the back and left early, and Cochran's 90-minute speech was capped with a standing ovation.

Cochran said there are more than 20 organized hate groups operating in Michigan, about double the number from six years ago. ''More often than not, when you say organized white supremacist or racist gangs, we tell ourselves they don't exist in our community, they always exist somewhere else,'' said Cochran, sporting a beard and a fast tongue. But it's not just a Southern thing anymore. ''The organized white supremacists have moved north, in part because we failed to address racism and bigotry ... When you ignored me that allowed me to set the agendas when I came to your community,'' Cochran said.

The YWCA, Temple Israel in Bay City and other organizations sponsored Cochran's visit, meant to educate local residents about hate groups in the state.

One such group, led by James P. Wickstrom - ''considered the pope within the Christian Identity movement,'' Cochran says - used to operate out of a furniture store in Hampton Township. The store was gutted by fire in 2004 and Wickstrom has since moved to the Pinconning area, but is still active. Wickstrom reportedly plans to speak at a neo-Nazi rally planned for April 22 in Lansing by the National Socialist Movement, the same group blamed for a riot at a rally in Toledo last year.

Cochran said people need to pay attention to hate groups like the Aryan Nations because they're targeting young people. They use religion to teach that Jews are evil and black people are inferior, and especially look for vulnerable children who are having problems at home. Such was the case for Cochran. He was a 14-year-old foster kid when he met up with the KKK outside his school in New York and they welcomed him into their group. Years later, he got involved with the Aryan Nations and became a youth recruiter, living on a compound in northern Idaho until he left the group in 1992. He said leader Richard Butler told Cochran his son, born with a cleft palate, needed to be exterminated. Cochran now lives in Pennsylvania and has been speaking to groups for the last 14 years, talking about organized white supremacists and how to counteract their message.

Cochran said the face of hate has changed in the last decade, moving from KKK members in white hoods to regular-looking folks recruiting young people at high schools and on college campuses. They also use racist rock bands and Internet Web sites. He said people need to challenge themselves not to buy into stereotypes and laugh at racist jokes, be accepting of others and reach out to troubled youths. ''I didn't become an organized racist or have racist ideas overnight,'' Cochran said. ''In many ways, organized groups such as the Ku Klux Klan or Aryan Nations, they amplify the racism of ordinary people.''

It's about more than words, too. ''It is young people who are being targeted by hate groups to go out and to attack people,'' Cochran said, mentioning several crimes committed over the years by young people with ties to white supremacist groups. LeRoy and Mary Marquiss, who owned the furniture store where Wickstrom once preached, attended Cochran's speech with a handful of friends.

August Kreis, the national director of an Aryan Nations group based in South Carolina, issued a call to all members and sympathizers to show up to disrupt Cochran's speech on Thursday, and offered a reward to anyone who got their picture taken with Cochran. No one collected, Cochran said. He encouraged people to attend the Lansing rally to peacefully oppose the neo-Nazis.

Our View: Power of dignity

April 5, 2006

The city of Coeur d'Alene can empathize with officials in Olympia who are trying to prevent neo-Nazis and counterdemonstrators from harming one another.

For some reason, the Washington state capital has become the favorite protest ground for a remnant of white supremacists who are still trying to get a foothold in the Northwest despite the failure of the bankrupt Aryan Nations in Kootenai County. An organization calling itself the National Socialist Movement mustered 10 racists Sunday for a second rally in Olympia this year - and 10 to 15 times as many anti-racists, according to a news report in the Olympian.

Washington State troopers broke up the rally after escalating verbal confrontations between hotheads on both sides and escorted neo-Nazi leader Justin Boyer and his few ragtag followers away. Boyer complained that his free-speech rights were violated by the police action and promised to return July 3 with a bigger rally. Counterdemonstrators, meanwhile, were proud of themselves for shouting down the neo-Nazis.

Veteran members of the Kootenai County Task Force on Human Relations have seen this drama played out before, at the gates of the old Aryan Nations compound on the rimrock above Hayden Lake, on Sherman Avenue in downtown Coeur d'Alene, at Coeur d'Alene's City Park. For three decades, the local task force shadowed Richard Butler's organization, countering annual supremacist conventions with human-rights celebrations, hijacking an Aryan Nations parade for a fundraising event and combating hate with peaceful activism and anti-hate laws. They task force never allowed the racists to dictate its agenda.

The resisters to the Olympia hate rallies would do well to study the Kootenai County task force playbook. Rather than confront haters directly, which would have provided recruitment fodder for them on the evening news, the late Bill Wassmuth, Tony Stewart, Norm Gissel and others counseled patience. One year, they encouraged Kootenai County residents to show solidarity against the neo-Nazi creed by tying ribbons at their homes and businesses. Another year, they collected statements from cities, counties and states around the Northwest in support of human rights. In the process, they supported victims of hate crimes and promoted legislation behind the scenes that ultimately led to the downfall of the Aryan Nations compound.

The tactics of the task force weren't always embraced by other human-rights supporters. During one Aryan Nations World Congress, maverick activists organized a march along U.S. Highway 95 in defiance of the task force's decision not to acknowledge the Aryan Nation event. Demonstrators from around the Northwest traveled to Coeur d'Alene to protest. They gave speeches after the march. Then, they went home, without accomplishing much. The task force, meanwhile, continued plodding along like the tortoise that upset the rabbit in the fabled race for the ages and eventually was involved in the legal showdown in which Butler lost his compound.

The only good thing that can be said about hotheaded human-rights activists challenging hot-headed racists is that it's happening somewhere else.

New Study: Sweden Not Neutral in WWII

10:00 Apr 06, '06 / 8 Nisan 5766

(IsraelNN.com) Sweden was not quite as neutral during World War II as was previously believed, according to new research commissioned in 2000 by Prime Minister Goran Persson.

Results of the series of studies into Sweden's Nazi links were released on Wednesday. They showed the Swedish government suppressed criticism of Hitler and reports of the atrocities committed by the Nazis, according to Stockholm University historian Klas Amark, who coordinated the research.

Amark told Reuters news service that the Swedish government and authorities "did what they thought was necessary to keep the peace, but I think they did more than was necessary."

Sweden also cooperated with the Nazis in preventing Germans and Jews from marrying each other, according to another study conducted by Anders Jarlert of Lund University. "From 1937, Swedes wanting to marry Germans of so-called Aryan blood had to give assurance that none of their grandparents belonged to the Jewish race," wrote Jarlert.

Do you think you met particularly bigoted or silly people at these universities? The Wise Ones?

I don't think so. I think these universities have passed their peak. The very idea of the university may be finished. In Oxford, for a long time, they were producing divines. Then it took a turn and the University began to produce smart people. The idea of learning came quite late, in the early nineteenth century perhaps, and it went on some way into the twentieth. Now, apart from sciences, there seems to be no purpose to a university education. The Socialists want to send everybody to these places. I feel that these places ought to be wrapped up and people should buy their qualifications at the Post Office.

Not including scientific qualifications?

No, those must remain. But the Humanities - they seem to me to be worthless disciplines.

[...]

Why do you exempt Dickens from your judgement on English writers?

I read some of the very early essays a short time ago: Sketches by Boz - they were good. There's so much rubbish in Dickens. Wordiness, too many words, repetitiveness. He was trying to do something, but by God the African never had a worse enemy. In one of his essays...

Which essay?

I can't recall. The Wise People will tell you, if they haven't abolished it. He hated black people. Strange, eh?

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- A Department of Homeland Security official was arrested Tuesday night on charges of using his computer to seduce a child after he allegedly struck up sexually explicit conversations with a detective posing as a 14-year-old girl, authorities said.

Brian J. Doyle, 55, is charged with seven counts of use of a computer to seduce a child and 16 counts of transmission of harmful material to a minor, according to the Polk County, Florida, Sheriff's Office.

Doyle, a deputy press secretary, will be placed on administrative leave, although it's unclear if it he (sic) will be paid, a department official said. . . .

"Doyle knew that the 'girl' was 14 years old, and he told her who he was and that he worked for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security," according to a statement from the sheriff's office.

Thanks to Strike the Root. And if it turns out his administrative leave will be paid, remember that this April 15.

Poet deserves to be criticized

By Elise Jordan

April 06, 2006

Autum Ashante has been in the news recently for her poetry. She has upset many blacks and whites alike. Her recent recital at a middle school in Peekskill, N.Y., caused uproar among parents and teachers because of her racially charged poetry. Many people are defending her because she is a prodigy with a message, but I think she should be held responsible for her words just like anyone else. If she wants to talk like a grown up, then let's treat her like a grown up. Her poem titled "White Nationalism Put U in Bondage" was performed to middle school children with messages like, "Yeah, white nationalism is what put you in bondage/ Pirates and vampires like Columbus, Morgan, and Darwin/ Drank the blood of the sheep, trampled all over them with Steel, tricks and deceit." She cannot just say these things and not be expected to explain herself.

Just because she is a talented poet doesn't mean she's a certified historian. I understand every culture has and is entitled to a different perspective on history, but she must be prepared to back hers up. And frankly, she's at an advantage because of her race. If a 7- year-old white girl recited a poem with even the slightest hint of racism, there would be no end to the uproar.

Proving my point is the case of Lamb and Lynx Gaede who were all over the news in October for performing a song preaching white nationalism and praising Hitler as well as the Nazi regime. Their group, Prussian Blue, was removed from line-ups and bookings and was chastised by the media - rightfully so. However, no formal apology was asked of Autumn Ashante. In fact, she has been featured on HBO, The Apollo and Russell Simmons Def Comedy.

It's interesting how when she's on stage she is all grown up with her big words and powerful messages, but besides this nobody thinks she should be criticized because she's only seven. Sorry, but she can't be grown up one minute then a child when it's convenient.

And where does she get all this hatred? Could it be from her father who is a Nation of Islam activist? When she was banned from returning to perform at the New York middle school, her father blamed the "racist crackers" for it all.

He should be ashamed of himself for bringing her up with such a racial bias. He should be encouraging her to research and learn before she develops an opinion. Then, if she still has the same views, at least they are objectively educated.

Little Autum recently said in an interview with Westchester Journal News that, "White people are devils that should be gone. We should all be away from them and still be in Africa." Then why doesn't she and her father buy some plane tickets and go back to Africa? No one is forcing them to stay in horrible, white supremacy bondage.
