African-American from Chicago or Milwaukee area."
Chief Deputy John Gossage says Lieutenant Molitor meant to talk about the
routes drugs take to our area, not about the people who sell them. "South

PARIS, Nov 4 (Reuters) - Violence broke out in poor suburbs of northeastern Paris for a ninth consecutive night as French youths set fire to cars and buildings despite a heavy police presence in riot-hit areas.
Firemen rushed to put out fires in the suburb of Val d'Oise after youths torched some 10 cars and two buildings, one of them a bakery, were set alight late on Friday.
In another suburb, Epinay-sous-Bois, about 40 youths, wearing hoods to hide their faces, ransacked around 10 cars, police told a Reuters photographer.
Rioting by youths, many of whom are Muslims of North African and black African origin, has partly been stoked by their frustration at high unemployment and the perception they lack economic opportunities.
The latest outbreak of violence came in defiance of a high-profile police presence.
About 1,300 officers deployed in Seine-Saint-Denis, the area worst hit in more than a week of disturbances and where the violence first began last week after two teenagers of African origin died while fleeing the police.
More officers were deployed in other suburbs where unrest had broken out, national police said, adding that the units were more mobile than previously.
The violence, which first began in Seine-Saint-Denis, has escalated this week and spread overnight between Thursday and Friday to a few other towns in France -- Rouen in northern France, Dijon in the east and Marseille in the south.
This has put mounting pressure on Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin's government to restore order without alienating minority and underprivileged groups.

Sub-Saharan Africans and North Africans commit violent crimes in France far out of proportion to their percentages of the population. As the behavior of blacks in New Orleans demonstrated, the right to keep and bear arms has nothing to do with hunting or target shooting. It's about defending one's life and property against individuals (or governments) who would wrongfully threaten them.
What can you do to help preserve the liberties that are unique to Western societies, such as freedom of speech, due process and, in the U.S.A., the right to keep and bear arms?

Further serious rioting broke out on the outskirts of Paris early on Friday as gangs of youths challenged authorities' vow to crack down on urban violence that has plagued the French capital for more than a week.
Police said about 400 cars were torched, mostly in the Paris region, while 27 buses went up in flames at a depot, although there were fewer overnight clashes between police and "troublemakers" than on Thursday, a police spokesperson said. To the west of Paris, the 27 buses in the Trappes depot were burnt in a fire that swept through the building at about 5am local time.
Buses, fire engines and police were again stoned in the Paris suburbs, with five police officers reported slightly injured, a police spokesperson said.
As dawn broke, the situation was "tending to calm down", he added.
One of the worst incidents took place at Neuilly-sur-Marne, where police vans came under fire from pellet pistols, causing no injuries.
Neuilly-sur-Marne is in the worst-hit north-eastern suburban region of Seine-Saint-Denis, where 1 300 officers have been deployed.
A fire was also started in a primary school in Stains, as police were targeted by a group of 30 to 40 people near a synagogue.
Paris firefighters fought a blaze at a carpet warehouse in Aulnay-sous-Bois in Seine-Saint-Denis. Truck drivers told a reporter for news agency AFP that they had seen a group of youths briefly enter the building beforehand.
Copycat rampages
And for the first time since the troubles erupted on Thursday last week, there were sporadic signs of copycat rampages elsewhere in France.
Police said several cars in the eastern city of Dijon were set alight, while similar attacks took place in the western Seine-Maritime region and the Bouches-du-Rhone in the south of the country.
The rioting marks a direct challenge to the authority of the French government, and to Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin in particular.
De Villepin on Thursday vowed before Parliament that authorities "will not give in" to the violence and will make restoring order their "absolute top priority".
"I will not allow organised gangs to make the law in the suburbs," he declared.
The clashes have gained territory virtually every night since they began, exposing what commentators have labelled a blatant failure of successive governments to address the problems of low-income, high-immigration suburbs dominated by grim public housing estates, some of them little more than ghettos where crime and gangs run rampant.
The riots were sparked last week by the accidental electrocution of two teenagers who had hidden in an electrical substation to escape a police identity check in the suburb at the epicentre of the troubles, Clichy-sous-Bois.
'War without mercy'
The opposition Socialist Party and many in the suburbs themselves blamed hard-line policies by Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy for fanning the violence.
Sarkozy, who on Thursday said the total number of people arrested was more than 140, vowed a "war without mercy" on crime and rebellious youths in the suburbs just before the rampages erupted.
The minister, leader of the conservative UMP ruling party and with ambitions of running for president in two years' time, has drawn criticism for his tough rhetoric, especially for referring to delinquents as "rabble".
On Thursday, he claimed that recent rioting "was not spontaneous, it was perfectly organised -- we are looking into by whom and how".
De Villepin -- who cancelled a trip to Canada to tackle the crisis -- said the violence is "unacceptable". President Jacques Chirac on Wednesday called for calm, warning that an escalation would be "dangerous".
The country has 751 neighbourhoods officially classed as severely disadvantaged, housing a total of five million people, about 8% of the population.
Many of France's estimated five million Muslims live in those suburbs. Thursday night was the end of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, a night traditionally marked by feasts and family get-togethers. -- Sapa-AFP

CASSELBERRY -- About a dozen residents have contacted police and City Hall complaining about a white-supremacist publication dropped in their driveways last weekend.
The Aryan Alternative, printed by Missouri-based Vanguard News Network, was distributed along several streets in south Casselberry off Winter Park Drive, city spokeswoman Susan Vernon-Devlin said.
It was not clear how many copies of the 16-page publication were distributed.
One resident reported that she saw two men in a pickup distributing the newspaper Sunday.
Copies also were distributed in the Forest Brook subdivision.
Casselberry's handbill ordinance restricts unwanted publications from being delivered door to door, but there is little the city can do with newspapers dropped in driveways, Vernon-Devlin said.
About 600 copies of the same publication were distributed in Maitland and Winter Park in August. Todd Vanbiber, an Orlando man behind a failed 1997 plot to detonate bombs and rob banks around Orlando, took responsibility for them. It was unclear whether he is involved in the latest distribution.
