WHAT, IF ANYTHING, CAN BE DONE ABOUT MY ANTISEMITISM?

I have asked myself when I was first aware of someone being Jewish. I think it was when I went home to play with Erwin Hafner in the afternoons after primary school in Dallas, Texas. We were friends and remained on cordial terms, but, for some reason I cannot recover, we did not continue to get together, although he lived only a street away from my then best friend Neil Florer, a Catholic. It was Neil who introduced me to anti-Semitism. Sydney Weisblatt lived at the other end of the block from Neil, with whom I spent many an afternoon during the war. The occasion of becoming aware of anti-Semitism was Sydney's beginning Hebrew School, thus taking him away from our play on Saturday mornings. Difference - and we persecuted him for it, if only by teasing and a degree of ostracism. I didn't know what was different about Jews, any more than I did about Catholics or Protestant denominations other than my own Presbyterianism (my grandmother was a missionary and my father a deacon), but I somehow got the message that it was more different and somehow to be denigrated.

My next memory about Jews is from high school. Two things come to mind. One was that one of the prettiest girls who came to the dances we regularly went to was Wendy Marcus. She was special. Her father owned a famous department store, Nieman-Marcus, a sort of local Harrod's, and theirs was the only house at the end of a private road, 1 Nonesuch Lane. She went to the local posh private girl's school and was Jewish. Actually, she wasn't. Her father was, but her mother, a beautiful former fashion model, was a gentile, but this point of Jewish law was lost on the local population. We all knew that when the time came she would not be able to make a debut: no Jews were allowed in the heart of the upper echelon's ceremonial entry into the marriage market for the elite, never mind that her family were the local arbiters of good taste, cultural sophistication and largesse. I often danced with Wendy and was a frequent guest in her home, but I would not have thought of `going steady' with her. This never struck me as anti-Semitic; it just wouldn't have done. Jews couldn't belong to most of the country clubs in the area, either, though they could to the one my father belonged to.

From: the Peacewatchers at USAF's Fairford and Welford bases in the UK

Since Saturday, people in the Highlands of Scotland have been witnessing large movements of US warplanes overhead. Experienced observers say the large numbers are reminiscent of those that preceded the bombing of Iraq in 1998 and military strikes on Libya in the1980's as well as the first Gulf War.

At the weekend warplanes were flying over at a rate of roughly one every 15 minutes. As well as watching them from the ground the plane spotters have also been able to overhear pilots talking by listening to their radio frequencies.

At this rate some 288 warplanes would have passed over Scotland in three days.

It is thought that the planes have flown on a route from the US over the North Pole to bases in Europe and the Mediterranean. The size and scale of the movement suggests that the US may be preparing to strike at a country in the Middle East in the next week to ten days.

Please pass this information on as widely as possible- the US may be planning to use the pretext of "foreign" terrorist attacks on US personnel in Iraq to attack Iran or Syria. Please alert any sympathetic elected representatives, media representatives and other sympathetic organizations. Publicizing this military movement may prevent the air-strikes.

The Mufti and Martin Hohmann

The length of an encyclopedia article indicates roughly the significance that the editors of the encyclopedia attach to the article's subject. In every encyclopedia Britain therefore receives more space than Bahrain. If you had never heard of either, you could accurately determine that the former is considered much more important than the latter simply by counting pages. The same practical rule holds true in ŒHolocaust Studies,' though in a convoluted form.

The four-volume Encyclopedia of the Holocaust is a standard work in 'Holocaust Studies,' consulted and cited by most scholars working in this rapidly expanding field. It displays an unmistakable fascination with the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, who receives more attention within its pages than Goebbels, Goering, Eichmann, Heydrich, and even Himmler; the article on the Mufti is over twice as long as the article on Goebbels. Among the major personalities of NS Germany, only Adolf Hitler surpasses (just barely) the Mufti. If you knew little about World War II, you could be forgiven for believing that the Mufti was a towering figure in wartime German politics, never far from Hitler's side as they jointly plotted the innumerable nefarious schemes commonly attributed to nazi Germany: the burning of all non-Aryan books, the subjugation of the globe, the industrialized extermination of every Jew from Alaska to Zaire, and so forth.

There could be no more succinct example of how academic scholarship can be shaped to serve a contemporary political agenda. The Encyclopedia of the Holocaust devotes so many pages to the Mufti not because its editors and contributors want to illuminate the life of an intriguing figure in Mideast history, nor even because they want to attack belatedly an old enemy from sixty years ago. The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem receives a prominent role as a major perpetrator of the Jewish 'Holocaust' because, in our time, Palestinian Arabs are enemies of the Jews, and the Mufti, the Palestinian religious leader Amin al-Husseini, conveniently supported Hitler.

The Mufti had escaped arrest by the British in mandatory Palestine and later arrived in Berlin seeking an alliance with the Germans, reasoning that his enemy's enemy should be his friend. He was a minor figure, at best, in NS Germany, but he has become a major figure for Jews today, his wartime activities regularly cited to suggest the ongoing 'nazi sympathies' of modern Palestinians, and there are even fanciful tales of his gloating tours of extermination camps, where he would urge the nazis to run their gas chambers more efficiently. All of this is transparently political. If Hindus were fighting Jews today, Subhas Chandra Bose, the Indian nationalist leader who also arrived in Berlin seeking an alliance against a common enemy, would have been cast in the same sinister role that Amin al-Husseini now plays.

Jews have a powerful weapon, their 'Holocaust,' and they want to deploy it against a current enemy, Palestinian Arabs. Jewish 'Holocaust' scholarship has therefore been shaped to meet a specific political objective, contorting itself to make the Mufti into an important actor in the nazi state, thereby tainting Palestinian national aspirations and Palestinian resistance to Israeli occupation. Holocaust scholars hope to transform modern Palestinians into nazis, co-conspirators in the Jewish Holocaust, sharers in German guilt, and in terms of their political intentions Amin al-Husseini does genuinely become more significant than Eichmann and Himmler. 'Holocaust Studies' are racially aggressive Jewish politics conducted by scholarly means: The Palestinians are now an important enemy, more so than ever before, and 'Holocaust' scholarship has been shaped accordingly.

Which brings us to Martin Hohmann, who evidently suffers from an incomplete understanding of the political character of the 'Holocaust.'

Hohmann is the conservative German parliamentarian who aroused Jewish rage by alluding to massive Jewish participation in Marxist crimes in the former Soviet Union, and above all by drawing a dangerous conclusion: "Jews were in large numbers at the [Bolshevik] leadership level, as well as in Cheka execution squads. So one could with some justification describe Jews as a nation of perpetrators. That may sound frightening. But it would follow the same logic by which one describes Germans as a nation of perpetrators."

If a merciful God presided over political debates, Hohmann's poorly phrased argument would have worked, since it assumed a semitically correct premise, the greatest of them all, the master premise that governs the rest: Thou shalt not blame Jews. More formally, any chain of reasoning that leads to an 'anti-Semitic' conclusion must be false, because all such conclusions have been preemptively declared illegitimate, ruled wrong ahead of time. That's an unassailable, bedrock truth, acknowledged by all properly domesticated Gentiles, and on that solid foundation Hohmann built his argument. It would be wrong to blame Jews today for the amply documented Marxist crimes that their forefathers committed decades ago in Russia, and throughout much of Europe it would be a frightening criminal offense to do so; therefore, Hohmann reasoned, it should also be wrong to blame Germans today for crimes of the nazi era. If Germans today are guilty of crimes in Germany's past, then Jews today must likewise be guilty of crimes in their Soviet past, a conclusion which would amount to prohibited anti-Semitism, blaming Jews as a group for Judeo-Bolshevik mass murder. Hohmann, an opponent of the Berlin Holocaust memorial, was in fact saying, contrary to some press reports, that neither living Germans nor living Jews should be held guilty for crimes that dead Germans and dead Jews committed long ago. Neither Germans nor Jews should be viewed as a perpetrator people. His reasoning, though badly structured, was irrefutable, given its obligatory initial premise and its naive assumption of equality between Jews and Germans.

But of course Hohmann's argument did not work, and it has provoked outrage from Jews and even calls for a criminal investigation, chiefly because he attempted to use a semitically correct premise for an impermissible purpose, exculpating living Germans. He does not want the Jewish Holocaust to remain forever a central part of German identity, and he knows that no healthy nation would elevate a crime into the defining event of its history. He thought he had discovered a safe logical device, operating at the edges of the rules that control discussions of the Holocaust, proving that Germans should not permanently identify themselves as the world's foremost perpetrator nation. He was obviously wrong.

Although revisionists question many of the events the fall under the rubric "Holocaust," Hohmann was doing nothing of the sort. Yet his argument was, despite his apparent naiveté, just as dangerous as revisionism, perhaps more so, since it challenged the Jewish 'Holocaust' at the level of its political objectives, of which historical facts are (as we have seen) merely the malleable vehicle, subject to creative alteration whenever the need arises. Jews in Germany saw Hohmann's argument for what it was: not merely an irritating allusion to old Jewish crimes, but also an attack on the power of their 'Holocaust' weapon. A 'Holocaust' weapon that no longer inflicted perpetual German penance would be unholocaustal, deprived of one of its desired effects. Jews want Germans to feel weak and guilty; that's what 'Holocaust' commemoration in Germany is really about. So Paul Spiegel, president of Germany's Central Council of Jews, quickly convinced himself that Hohmann's semitically correct argument amounted to "a reach into the lowest drawer of disgusting anti-Semitism." Such angry denunciations, and there were many, have a number of practical goals, but the most important is surely the warning that they give to others: You can't talk this way, and if you do, we'll work hard to punish you.

The 'Holocaust' is a contrived instrument of Jewish power, and if it ceased to be an effective weapon that Jews can wield against their enemies whenever they choose, it wouldn't, from their perspective, be worth the trouble of writing all those 'Holocaust' books and erecting all those 'Holocaust' temples that commemorate it. The main purpose of the Jewish 'Holocaust' is to attack enemies of the Jews in the present, and since Jews in the present still hate Germans, they will vilify and punish any German who attempts to disarm their favorite weapon, even a polite German who dutifully obeys their rules.

Eye on the Media: BSkyB, the Murdochs, and Jacob Rothschild

Despite shareholder disapproval, Rupert Murdoch's son, James Murdoch, 30 (pictured), has been named CEO of British Sky Broadcasting Group (BSkyB), the News Corporation subsidiary which controls most of Britain's pay television business. Prior to his appointment he had been head of Star, his father's Asian satellite TV firm. Jacob Rothschild has been named deputy chairman of BSkyB. The scion of the notorious Jewish banking dynasty, patriarch of the British Rothschilds, friend of Israel, and longtime Murdoch ally, Rothschild is closely associated with billionaire Jewish oligarch Mikhail Khodorkovsky, recently charged with income and corporate tax evasion and grand theft in Russia.

Khodorkovsky, like many Russian Jews, became an instant billionaire when the regime privatized state-owned enterprises under questionable circumstances in the 1990s. According to the London Sunday Times, Rothschild now controls Khodorkovsky's stake in Russian oil giant Yukos. Rothschild has long exercised influence in Russia through Khodorkovsky's "Open Russia" Foundation. (Henry Kissinger is also a member of the Foundation's board.)

James Murdoch's mother is the former Anna Torv, Rupert Murdoch's second wife, apparently a Gentile and possibly Nordic. Anna, like every good-looking, ambitious shiksa in the Age of Jewish Domination, is now married to yet another apparent Jew -- "New York financier William Mann" -- and lives in a mansion in the Hamptons.

Rupert Murdoch is reportedly the son of a Jewish mother and a White father.

James Murdoch is married to former model Kathryn Hufschmid (ethnicity unknown). The couple has one daughter.

The half-Jewish Rupert Murdoch and the quarter-Jewish James Murdoch are products of genetic intertwining, whereby Jews biologically insinuate influence over European societies even at the level of the gene. The Graham family of the Washington Post is another example of the process. Such hybrid Jews invariably promote Jewish interests at the expense of the vital needs of the host society.

Rupert Murdoch, a fervent Zionist and philo-Semite, is not averse to heavy-handed content censorship. Pro-Chinese (he has two hybrid daughters by his Chinese third wife, Wendi Deng, thirty-seven years his junior), Murdoch removed the BBC from Star Television because the British channel aired news unflattering to the Beijing dictatorship. (Star TV's "potential is vast: the footprint of its satellites extends from Japan to the Middle East via Southeast Asia and covers two-thirds of the world's population.")

Murdoch also ordered his publishing house, HarperCollins, to censor the memoirs of Chris Patten, the last governor of Hong Kong and a critic of the Chinese regime. Obediently, HarperCollins dropped the book.

In an unsuccessful bid to oust 30-year Elmwood Park, New Jersey incumbent Mayor Richard Mola (left), the Democratic challenger Joe Mongelli (right) based his campaign on the presence of the National Alliance in the New Jersey borough. The heated campaign was fueled by Councilman Mongelli's mailing to residents stating, "Under Mayor Mola's watch, our borough has become a safe haven for racist and white separatist organizations." Mongelli followed that up with a similar phone campaign to local residents, pledging to run the National Alliance out of Elmwood Park. Yesterday, the citizens replied to Mongelli's fear tactics and attempts to deny the National Alliance its Constitutional rights of freedom of speech and assembly. This morning the Bergen Record published these poll results: Mola, 2,614 votes; Mongelli, 1,997 votes. In the council two Republicans won seats, another loss for Mongelli. The largely White population of Elmwood Park has spoken. The National Alliance will continue to meet there and in other towns all across New Jersey. I estimated a majority of American Lutheran churches today are Zionist, pro- Israel.

It seems every time I turn on the radio, flipping through the stations, I pause when someone is giving a speech, I listen for any substance and most of the time it is Christian preachers talking about how Israel is our friend and God's chosen people and suck it up while being abused by one of God's creatures and send our program money....blah...blah....

while searching for a weather report I came across a preacher talking about the Ethiopians who have just joined their church...this dude was so full of chalk full of sentiment and plain gushiness - I imagined it was for real, never heard a grown man get so sentimental before - but the subject was the Ethiopian Christians who came here are "just full of faith" and "we need to take a lesson from them". click.

If this is what christianity consists of nowadays - I want NOTHING to do with it. It is difficult enough to convince reasonable thinking agonistic adults about Yids and identify the cultural war being waged, let alone some watery- eyed, nasal dripping corny preacher and his/her followers that the chosen are not so chosen. It is best to ignore these people or make fun of them.

Let the preachers awaken on their own, let them warn their "flocks". These pewwarmers, like a Sunday afternoon potluck, will digest whatever is served.

Subject: Google practice?

I would just like to say this about Google, which I heard from the "grapevine." Keep in mind that I can't verify this information one way or another offhand. (And I doubt if Google is going to volunteer it, though you could try to do a search with www.Google.com and see what you find.) In any event, I heard that Google sells the data from people's searches, which is one of the ways it makes money. While seemingly innocent, this could pose to be a problem.

Let's say "the Big Brother of Little Brother" (i.e., the ADL, who now trains our FBI agents at the Holocaust Museum with their thought-programming indoctrination process) wants to know what you're doing.

Perhaps, Big Brother hopes you're "searching" for something "incriminating," in which case they can then report these activities to Little Brother. So they send Google a couple dollars, and now they know everything for which you're looking. God forbid if you choose a "wrong" search topic and click on the link.

But, who knows, I could be mistaken: they might just give this information to Big Brother gratis.

This would be one small way Google makes money, if true, which combined with data from searches for advertisers probably adds up.

Nearly 60% of Europeans said yes when asked in the Eurobarometer survey if Israel presents a threat to peace, putting it ahead of Iran, North Korea and the US, each of which polled 53%.

"We are not only sad but outraged--not at European citizens but at those who are responsible for forming public opinion," Israel's mission to the EU said in a statement.

I have just watched a recording of The Secret Policeman. This is a documentary programme first shown by the BBC on Tuesday, the 21st October 2003. In this, a reporter posed for six months as a police cadet and then as a police officer, while secretly filming his colleagues. Some of the language caught on film expresses strong dissent from the established opinions on race and immigration. One of the officers put on a white hood and discussed the merits of burying a "Paki bastard under a railway line". He also insisted that Stephen Lawrence - a black youth whose death ten years ago led to a report all about "institutional racism" - had deserved his end. He added:

Isn't it good how good memories don't fade? He fucking deserved it, and his mum and dad are a fucking pair of spongers.

Another officer said of his Asian colleagues: Truthfully? Fuck them all off. I'll admit it - I'm a racist bastard. I don't mind blacks. I don't mind black people. Asians? No.

Another said of Asians in general: A dog born in a barn is still a dog. A Paki born in Britain is still a fucking Paki.

As soon as the programme was shown, the chorus of disapproval swelled to full volume. The Acting Deputy Chief Constable of the North Wales Police said: I felt physically sick as I watched The Secret Policeman.(1)

The Deputy Chief Constable of the Manchester Police said: I was shocked, sickened, ashamed and saddened by what I saw.(2)

The newspapers and the electronic media not only reported, but joined in the expressions of outrage. Five of the officers filmed resigned the day after the showing. Another was suspended.

Even forgetting the nature of the language used, it is hard to feel sorry for these officers. They are police officers. They are "the pigs". They are the unintelligent, semi-literate dregs of their section of the working class, who have been given a supervisory power over everyone else, including their betters - and who use and abuse this power to the full. They are inefficient. They are incompetent. They are corrupt. So far, only five of these people have resigned. It would be a better country by far if they could all be persuaded to resign. We could then save on the costs of their well-padded salaries. As for crime control, we could go back to the good old days of arming ourselves and otherwise relying on the hue and cry and private prosecutions.

We need, however, to look away from the beastly nature of the people concerned, and look instead at why the programme was made and why the responses to it were so emphatic. Look at the response of that Welsh police chief - he described himself as "physically sick" at what was said. "Physically sick"? When was the last time any of us felt that about something read or heard? For myself, cat droppings, rotten meat, certain medical conditions - these can set my stomach heaving as if I were some teenage anorexic. But I really doubt if, once in the past forty years, I have read or heard anything that came near to provoking a physical response. And these were the words of a senior police officer. It has long been his professional duty to acquaint himself with matters that require a greater than average firmness of mind. "Physically sick"? I somehow doubt it.

But what those police officers said was not merely tasteless and uncharitable. Nor was it merely embarrassing to their senior officers. So far as their senior officers were concerned, and so far as the authors were concerned of virtually all media and political comment, what they said was the equivalent of heresy or treason. It was a duty not merely to deplore what they said, but to denounce it in the strongest terms that came to mind. Any faintness of utterance, it seems to have been felt, might leave one open to suspicions of agreement oneself with what had been said.

Marxist Theory Is Marxist Practice

At this point, I must beg the indulgence of my readers. In my last article for Free Life Commentary, I wrote at some length to show the usefulness of neo-Marxist sociology in analysing the nature of any social order ruled by Marxists or by those influenced by Marxism. Here, I will continue the theme, using this present case as an example of how the analysis can be made to work.

According to Marx himself, the political and cultural shape of any society is determined by ownership of the means of production. There is the economic base, and piled on top of this is the superstructure of all else. Let the base be changed, and the superstructure will be changed as surely and automatically as the appearance of a forest is changed by the varying distance of our planet from the sun. I know there are inherent ambiguities in his theory and many possibly varying interpretations of it. But this summary is accurate enough for our current purposes. As here summarised, there is a rough grandeur to his claim. It is, however, false. We have now been waiting over 150 years for the inner contradictions of liberalism to reveal themselves, and so bring on the next stage of human development. There has been no immiserisation of the proletariat, and no general overproduction crises.

Aside from dropping the whole system as a failure, two responses to this problem emerged in the early 20th century. The first was to look around for some half-convincing rescue hypothesis - see Lenin, for example, on how exploiting the colonies had replaced exploiting the workers at home. The second was to keep the messianic fervour of the original ideology while dropping its economic determinism. The three most important projectors of this change were Antonio Gramsci (1891-1937), Louis Althusser (1918-91), and Michel Foucault (1926-84).

According to their reformulation of Marxism, a ruling class keeps control not by owning the means of production, but by setting the cultural agenda of the country. It formulates a "dominant" or "hegemonic" ideology, to legitimise its position, and imposes this on the rest of society through the "ideological state apparatus" - that is, through the political and legal administration, through the schools and churches, and through the underlying assumptions of popular culture. There is some reliance on the use or threat of force to silence criticism - the "repressive state apparatus" - but the main instrument of control is the systematic manufacture of consent. At times, this hegemonic ideology can amount to a "discourse", this being a set of ways of thinking and talking about issues that makes it at least hard for some things to be discussed at all.

Though much ingenuity has gone into proving the opposite, it is hard to see what value even a reformulated Marxism has for analysing the politics and culture of a liberal society. In this country, between about the end of the 17th and towards the end of the 20th centuries, there were ruling classes, and there were what can be called dominant ideologies. But the rulers legitimised their position by reference to standards which were not imposed by them, but had largely emerged spontaneously throughout society as a whole. The function of the ideological state apparatus was not to enforce values on the governed, but to reflect and thereby reinforce values that were already taken for granted. I remember once seeing a print of the Queen and Prince Consort sat with their family round a Christmas tree. This was not a creation of values, still less an imposition of them. It was instead a royal identification with ideas of family stability that were already accepted - ideas that were accepted even by those who, for whatever reason, chose not to take them up, and that had not been noticeably accepted in several earlier reigns.

There were strong disagreements - over religion and land ownership and the extent of the franchise, and the extent of state intervention in the economy, among much else - but the underlying values of society were generally shared and did not need to be imposed. The neo-Marxist analysis only becomes useful for providing a terminology to discuss what happens when a ruling class turns oppressive. Such is the present case.

I was reading the paper while enjoying lunch in the only Greek diner without Mexican help in this multicultural slum. That's why I go there. I didn't see the accident, but looked out the window when a black guy jumped up & said, "Hey, looga dat!"

There was a minor fender-bender at the corner, couple of hundred bucks worth, with a beat up old van pressed against the side of a brandy new Lincoln. I had seen these Lincolns many times before. The tall Israeli driver jumped out along with two bodyguards, who all ran around to the van door and began beating on the driver. Now, we have all seen in ethnic neighborhoods where an intruder will get the shellac beaten out of him, but this was a rather dark MUSLIM area of the city. Such is the arrogance of the Chosen Ones.

The van driver appeared to try to get out, and one of the Israelis kicked the door shut on his leg. Eventually the driver was dragged out of the van. At that point we could see he was very dark and wearing a skull cap. At this moment, the black guy who was having lunch ran out to aid the Muslim. Seems there was also a very young boy in the van too. Well, anyone who has lunch with me daily should be helped, I reckon. I ran out and heaved my entire weight with both hands at the head of the one young guy, splattering his face on the side of the van. He instantly went down, and from what I learned early on in high school, you've got to keep them down. The other turned and punched me out. Almost simultaneously therewith, about a half dozen blacks from the truck garage across the street came running over to help. And help they did.

At this point the rebbi who was in the back of the limo took flight, seeing the hand writing on the wall. It was so comical, all of five feet tall, him in black coat flowing back, running like a cartoon Jesse Owens, feet out front, body back, holding a cell phone up. He lost his hat and disappeared down the street. By now the jews were overwhelmed, and the driver also had taken flight up a different street, leaving his buddies on their own.

The two bodyguards were by now a bloody mess on the street, and we all continued to bless them with the same goodlyness with which they show their love for Palestinians. Broken noses, jaws, ribs, crushed faces. I only regret I didn't get a shot at a neck, where the artery to the brain resides. In a few more minutes the cops arrived. The black guy from the diner began to explain to the cops what had occurred. The cops talked to the bystanders to corroberate the story. Several ambulances came and picked up the two beatup Israelis. I noticed a bunch of papers on the ground by the Lincoln door, picked them up and quietly returned to finish my lunch. Moments later the limo driver returned. He was screaming at the cops to lock up the van driver. Screaming! In his arrogance he pushed one cop on the chest and was promptly handcuffed and arrested. The five foot tall rebbi returned to the corner, and in about 10 minutes another Lincoln arrived to take him away.

A half hour later and everything was clear and the crowd of some 40 people dispersed. This is the first time I have bludgeoned a jew into the hospital IN PUBLIC with zero repercussions. In South America it is done all the time. Now I know how the ARA bums feel with their tire irons. For obvious reasons I can't tell you the location nor the date. Suffice it to say this was a glorious day. The black guy & I had seen each other for about a year in that diner, never having uttered so much as a hello. Now, daily we exchange amenities and frequently discuss the evil that is the jew among us.

General hit by 'anti-Semitism' row

The commanding officer of Germany's special forces was sacked yesterday for writing a letter thanking an MP who made anti-Semitic remarks.

Brig Gen Reinhard Guenzel was removed from the head of the KSK, Germany's equivalent of the SAS, with immediate effect after a letter he wrote to the MP, Martin Hohmann, was made public.

Mr Hohmann, a member of the opposition Christian Democratic Union, has been publicly reprimanded after he said many Bolsheviks of Jewish descent took part in mass executions during the 1917 Russian revolution and therefore Jews, like Germans, could be called "perpetrators".

Gen Guenzel, 59, sent the MP a letter of thanks. He wrote: "An excellent speech, if I allow myself the judgment, [which shows] the courage for truth and clarity of which one only very rarely hears and reads in our country.

"And also, although all those who share this opinion or even articulate it clearly and loudly are immediately put in the radical Right corner by our public opinion, you can be sure that with these thoughts you clearly speak for the majority of our people.

"I hope that you do not allow yourself to be put off by the accusations from the predominantly Left camp and courageously continue to keep to your course."

The letter was made public by the MP. During an interview about his speech, Mr Hohmann produced the general's letter and showed it to a television crew.

Peter Struck, the defence minister, described the letter as intolerable and said there would be no honourable discharge for the general. He said the officer did not speak for the politically neutral armed forces.

He added that Gen Guenzel had damaged the country and the army and described him as a "lonely and confused general who had agreed with the even more confused opinion of an MP".

He said the general had obviously not reckoned with the release of his letter, nor with the explosive reaction it would provoke, but added that this was no excuse.

Gen Guenzel has commanded the KSK special forces for nearly three years. The unit was formed with specific reference to the structure and duties of the SAS, with responsibility for anti-terrorism as well as hostage-takings and other secret operations, including some in Afghanistan.

A spokesman for the defence ministry told The Telegraph yesterday: "The removal of a general is a very, very rare occurrence. I am not sure whether it has ever happened before." In a further development yesterday, Der Spiegel magazine's online edition reported that Mr Hohmann had sent the full text of his speech - which was made on Germany's national day - to 108 MPs under the heading "Dear friends, read it yourself and form your own opinion" four days before the media picked up on it but not one had raised the issue.

A television station reported on the speech in a programme on anti-Semitic cliches, prompting calls for the general's dismissal as well as several attempts to prosecute him under Germany's race-hate laws.

Rendell, and the city's Democratic leadership.

Street, 60, said that his double-digit victory was a significant "affirmation of the things we have been trying to do in neighborhoods for the last four years. "We really did make a commitment to turn our attention to neighborhoods without turning our back on Center City and we have done that," Street told supporters at the Wyndham Franklin Plaza Hotel. Street, who squeaked by Katz in their first encounter in 1999, had a strong showing from the city's black wards and did surprisingly well among white Democrats.

There was a sense of disbelief about the size of the Street victory among the Katz crowd at the Warwick Hotel, but they maintained a boisterous spirit as they awaited his concession speech. Now, I'm not attacking Hale. Now that he's in the fix he's in, he deserves our full support, simply because he is one of ours, and he has stood up for our race and our people.

Still, we should ask some questions... and learn from the answers. The thing is, why do our young leaders keep playing into the Fed's hands?

Surely Matt Hale knew the risks that he was taking. As highly visible and outspoken leader, he had to know that he was targeted. To assume otherwise is simply begging belief. Why do our leaders, some not so young, keep playing into the Fed's hands by their own negligence and gullibility? Surely Hale knew that there were infiltrators in his organization. It's not like they were completely free from interference, is it? If he trusted this Lieutenant of his, so much, surely he knew something about him. Surely he looked into the man's background before placing him in a position of responsibility... particularly a critical one, such as Chief of Security.

If he did not know about this man, why not? Hale, according to what I have heard, is a trained attorney. Surely he knew about the dirty tricks that the Government uses against us. Even if he had reason to trust the man, and he apparently did, has he never heard of "wiretapping", "electronic surveillance" and "bugging"?

Tom, this is just one of the reasons why you are so correct when you say that membership organizations are worthless to our cause in the current conditions. With the state of technology, with the state of governmental high-handedness, with the plain and obvious fact that the government is completely and totally sold out to the Jews, who will stop at nothing to destroy us, the idea that such organizations have any real chance for success is practically non-existent.

My God, even thirty-odd years ago, when I was involved in it, you could go to any Klan rally, and the actual Klansmen were outnumbered, several to one by informants and reporters in Klan robes.

We need warriors, out in the trenches, and we need leaders who understand the weapons being used against us and how to protect us, as well as themselves, from those weapons.

It's time to take a cold, hard look at what we are doing to make the enemy's job easier for them and to stop making those mistakes, over and over again.

TT SAYS: Yes, it is like Mazella, but I was civilly charged not criminally. I think a white racist, once in their clutches will always be convicted just to take the person out of action. We all screw up no matter who we are but screwing up today can mean your productive life is over. Of course, with any criticism we must still always support our wounded against the Iron Heel as much as possible.

The two biggest problems are booze and guns in most cases. You do not need an arsenal and if you drink stay off the streets and party at home or a place where you can stay all night. Loud parties in homes are also dangerous. Don't cover your walls with flags and keep tons of literature in your house. At least have a storage locker if you are Lone Wolf. Keep your car in good shape with all lights/signals working. No literature in the car. Carry a small TAPE recorder at all times on you or wherever you are. Run 90 minute tapes and turn it on at the first sign of trouble. Never talk to a cop without turning on the tape recorder. White Christian Richard Butler, 85, lost on Tuesday in an effort to become mayor of the small Idaho town of Hayden.

"I'm not really anxious to become mayor," he said recently. "I'm just anxious to get the Christian word out."

With more than 80 percent of the votes counted, he had won just 38 votes, or two percent of the total. Incumbent shabbes-Goy Ron McIntire led by more than 90 percent of the vote.

White Christian followers have not had much luck running for office in northern Idaho. Several years ago, white Christian Vincent Bertollini ran for mayor of the nearby resort town of Sandpoint and was defeated.

The first event, to occur this evening, is the passing across the US/Mexico border of the "Torch of Guadalupe" on its way to New York City. The second event, to take place on November 17 in Beverly Hills, is the unveiling of an extraordinarily beautiful sculpture of "La Virgen" by Lladro of Valencia, Spain.

The 2nd Annual "Carrera Guadalupana: Mexico City - New York" sponsored by the "Asociacion Tepeyac de New York" has great religious and cultural significance for Mexican immigrants in the United States. The relay race, which most probably will become a yearly tradition, originates at Tepeyac located in Tenochtitlan (Mexico City). Tepeyac is the sacred ground where Tonatzin or Tecuauhtlacuepeuh which in the Nahuatl language means "She who comes flying from the Region of Light like an Eagle of Fire" miraculously appeared on December 12, 1531 to the Aztec Prince Cuauhtlatoahtzin, now canonized as St. Juan Diego by the Vatican. Today, Tecuauhtlacuepeuh is known as "La Virgen de Guadalupe" or "La Reina de Mexico (Queen of Mexico)."

This year's "Carrera Guadalupana" has as a theme "Messengers for the Dignity of a People Divided by the Border". The lighting of a "torch" and carrying it by relay runners to areas where the sons and daughters of Tonatzin (La Virgen de Guadalupe) reside has it roots in ancient Aztec culture. Each year, in an Aztec religious ceremony, a "torch" would be lit in the heart of Tenochtitlan and carried to remote regions of the Aztec Empire including Aztlan, as a symbol of protection and the spreading of the "Light" of Tecuauhtlacuepeuh. This tradition has taken special significance today for Mexican immigrants in the United States because of the violence along the US/Mexico border and physical attacks by racist bigots in New York state.

Today at 8:00 PM, nine Mexican congressmen representing all Mexican political parties will carry the "Guadalupan Torch" across the border at the Matamoros International Bridge. There will be a rally there where the Mexican congressmen will be calling for their counterparts in the US Congress to support the bill "Border Security and Immigration Improvement Act (HR 2899)". The relay runners are also taking a message from the Mexican Congress and will deliver it to US Congressmen on December 8th, in Washington, D.C. on their way to New York City. New York City now represents the most remote city in the US where there is a large Mexican population.

The second tribute to "La Virgen de Guadalupe" will take place on November 17 when Cardinal Roger Mahoney of Los Angeles will bless a limited number of beautiful Lladro porcelain sculptures of "La Virgen de Guadalupe" to be unveiled at a special benefit reception in Beverly Hills on the evening of November 20. The world renown Lladro of Valencia, Spain will utilized the funds raised during the evening's festivities to benefit the "In Your Hands" project in Mexico. "In Your Hands" helps artisans in the Mexican village of Zautla, to continue with their only means of living: sculpting and selling pottery. In the town of Zautla, Mexico, 1,200 families make a living from sculpting and selling their clay goods. The present environment in which the Indigenous artisans live is extremely disadvantaged making Lladro's assistance necessary. Lladro also had humble origins in Spain. It was founded by three brothers Juan, Jose and Vicente Lladro and now it has a strong presence in over 120 countries.

U.S. to ask Congress to give Israel $2.22 billion in military assistance The United States will ask Congress to give Israel $2.22 billion in military assistance in the fiscal year 2005, $60 million more than in 2004, the U.S. State Department said in a statement on Monday.

The increase is in line with a 1990s agreement which reduces economic assistance to Israel by $120 million a year while adding $60 million a year to the military component of the package, the largest Washington gives to any country.

The statement, issued after talks in Israel last Wednesday and Thursday between senior U.S. and Israeli officials, said the Bush administration was committed to enhancing Israel's security and "maintaining Israel's qualitative edge over any combination of adversaries".

It said the U.S. would continue to seek funding for future U.S. participation in selected joint research and development projects with Israel.

U.S. economic support to Israel stood at $600 million in 2002 but under the agreement, which dates back to the Clinton administration, it will disappear by 2008.

Apart from the annual military and economic assistance, the United States is also guaranteeing international loans by Israel up to an amount of $9 billion over three years.

The $9 billion is liable to deductions equivalent to the Israeli government's spending on settlements in the Palestinian territories but the U.S. has given Israel clearance to start borrowing before deciding how much it will deduct.

Israeli Pipeline to Move Russian Oil

JERUSALEM (AP) - Russian oil will begin flowing through an Israeli pipeline in late November, the pipeline's director said Wednesday, signaling a new chapter in rapidly improving relations with Moscow.

The announcement came on the same day Prime Minister Ariel Sharon returned from a three day visit to Moscow, where he discussed political and trade ties, and the Middle East peace process with President Vladimir Putin. The Russian oil will move through the Eilat-Ashkelon Oil Pipeline Co., according to its director, Emmanuel Sakal. He said the oil was earmarked for markets in the Far East, a major focus of Russia's developing export strategy.

Sakal would not say how large the shipments would be, which companies were providing them, or give a dollar value on the deal. Oil analyst Valery Nesterov of Troika Dialog in Moscow said Lukoil and Rosneft, which have production facilities in southern Russia, would be the likeliest candidates to exploit the facility.

About 80 percent of Russia's 126 million gallons per day of oil exports go to Europe, with about half of the rest heading for the Far East. However, Nesterov said, Russia is keen to increase its Asian oil sales. ``Russian oil companies are eying the Far East because the European markets are congested,'' he said.

The 158-mile Eilat-Ashkelon pipeline was built in the late 1960s by Israel and Iran to move Iranian oil to markets in Europe and the United States. It provided a convenient link between the Red Sea and the Mediterranean Sea, instead of the costlier route around South Africa's Cape of Good Hope. Since the Iranian revolution in 1979 ended Iranian-Israeli diplomatic and trade relations, the pipeline has been limited to moving relatively small amounts of Egyptian oil from fields in the Sinai Peninsula to northern Israel for refining. The pipeline can move about 46.2 million gallons of oil per day.

In the past two years, Sakal said, the company has completed a project to reverse the direction of the line from north to south. This would allow for shipments of Russian oil to reach the Mediterranean port of Ashkelon, be sent to Eilat and over the Red Sea toward the Far East, where demand is growing fastest. Russia is considering a number of pipeline projects between yet- untapped oil reserves in eastern Siberia and markets in South Korea, China and Japan, but those plans are still many years off.

Large portions of Russian oil exports to the Far East currently move by rail through Siberia. A spokesman for Sharon said Israel and Russia have a common interest in exploiting the Eilat-Ashkelon pipeline. ``We want to make money from this (through transit fees) and the Russians want to send oil through it,'' said the spokesman, Raanan Gissin.

Russia's relations with Israel have improved dramatically since the Soviet collapse in 1991, and Moscow has played a role in peace efforts as part of the international quartet that includes the United States, the United Nations and the European Union. The presence of 1 million Russian-speaking immigrants, one-sixth of Israel's population and a powerful political force, has become an important factor in bilateral relations.

JERUSALEM (AP) - Israel has granted citizenship to a Russian tycoon who could be targeted in Russia's tax evasion and fraud investigation of oil giant Yukos, the Interior Ministry said Wednesday.

Israeli authorities said becoming an Israeli would not automatically shield Leonid Nevzlin from possible extradition to Moscow. Nevzlin is the top aide of Mikhail Khodorkovsky, who resigned earlier this week as head of Yukos, the world's fifth-largest oil company.

Khodorkovsky, Russia's richest man, has been in a Russian prison since Oct. 25 on charges of tax evasion and fraud. Critics say Khodorkovsky is being targeted because of his growing financial and political clout and his funding of opposition parties.

Russian media have reported that Khodorkovsky assigned to Nevzlin ``beneficiary rights'' to 50 percent of shares in Yukos holding company, Group Menatep. That would make Nevzlin a key figure in protecting the company's multibillion-dollar assets from the authorities who might try to seize them. Nevzlin, who is Jewish and as such entitled to citizenship in the Jewish state, was questioned by Russian police in July, but no criminal charges have been brought against him. He arrived in Israel on a tourist visa two months ago and was granted citizenship on Sunday, the Interior Ministry said.

Israeli opposition legislator Colette Avital said it appeared the process was unusually quick. ``Suddenly, overnight he became a dedicated Zionist and he got citizenship in a speedy manner and we have to ask why?'' Avital told The Associated Press. The ministry said Nevzlin went through the proper procedures and was not given preferential treatment.

Nevzlin is No. 386 on Forbes magazine's list of the world's richest people, with an estimated wealth at $1.1 billion. Forbes ranks him as the 11th richest Russian. Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, meanwhile, brought up his concern about recent arrests of Jewish businessmen in Russia during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Monday.

``He said that as a Jew and as prime minister he is worried that there is persecution'' of Jews, said Sharon adviser Raanan Gissin. Sharon fears the arrests could lead to greater anti-Semitism, Gissin said. Putin assured Sharon that the cases were purely criminal, according to Gissin. Neither leader mentioned Khodorkovsky or Nevzlin by name. Khodorkovsky has said his father is Jewish.

Nevzlin was formerly head of the Russian Jewish Congress - the group once headed by Vladimir Gusinsky, another oligarch who found refuge in Israel. According to the Israeli newspaper Maariv, another Yukos shareholder, Vladmir Dubov, was in Israel until recently and stayed in the same Tel Aviv hotel as Nevzlin.

Dean Regrets 'Pain' Caused by Confederate Flag Comments

Democratic Candidate Calls Statement 'A Clumsy Way' to Start a Discussion About Race

Former Vermont governor Howard Dean, hoping to stomp out a growing controversy over race, today said he regretted any "pain" he caused by saying he wanted to "be the candidate for guys with Confederate flags in their pickup trucks."

One day after his Democratic presidential rivals demanded he apologize for his remarks, which they called offensive to blacks and southern whites, Dean for the first time expressed remorse. "I regret the pain that I may have caused either to African American or southern white voters," he said in New York. What he had hoped to do, Dean said, was provoke a "painful" dialogue about race among all voters, including those displaying confederate flags. But, he said, "I started this discussion in a clumsy way."

Dean spokeswoman Tricia Enright later said the candidate intended his remarks as "a heartfelt apology." Still Dean, who stubbornly refused to distance himself from the comments during Tuesday night's candidate debate in Boston, clearly recognized that the flag flap was exploding into a big political problem. Since making his original comment Friday, Dean has been rebuked, not just by his rivals but by prominent Democrats such as New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, chairman of the party's nominating convention next year.

The controversy is unlikely to fade soon, Democrats say. "Howard Dean has finally admitted that his words have caused pain, but I am puzzled as to why he does not seem to regret the words that caused the pain," said Sen. John F. Kerry (Mass.).

Matt Bennett, spokesman for retired Army Gen. Wesley K. Clark, said Dean's comments will have a lasting effect, especially when the campaign moves south. "He just has the wrong idea about how you should communicate with southerners," Bennett said. "It's not surprising for a governor from Vermont, but it's going to be a major problem."

Strategist for several campaigns predicted the Confederate flag comment will reappear in campaign television ads, perhaps in South Carolina.

For the first time, Dean's rivals believe they have exposed what they consider among his greatest flaws: his temperament, obstinacy and propensity for making controversial or conflicting statements. Dean has brushed off most attacks, which seem to only intensify by the day, frustrating the other Democratic candidates who are testing several themes to thwart his momentum.

There is little evidence the relentless assaults are working in Iowa and New Hampshire, the two key early voting states, or nationally. Dean offered his regrets about the Confederate flag comment on the same day he called for a vote of his supporters to decide whether he should become the first Democrat ever to drop out of the public campaign finance system, a testament to his growing strength as the front-runner.

But it remains to be seen whether the former governor of mostly white Vermont can deftly extricate himself from the Confederate flag incident.

During Tuesday's debate, Dean appeared rattled by attacks from Al Sharpton and Sen. John Edwards (N.C.), otherwise one of the more collegial candidates. Dean refused to apologize or admit the remarks were offensive to some Democrats, and largely dodged a direct question on the topic posed by a young African American man. Off camera, Sharpton and Dean engaged in another heated exchange over the matter. "Imagine if I said that I wanted to be the candidate of people with helmets and swastikas," Sharpton said he told Dean.

As several Democrats noted, Dean could have admitted during Tuesday's debate that he made a mistake and perhaps put the episode behind him. He did not, dragging the controversy out for at least another day.

Thisis not the first time Dean has come under attack for his remarks on race issues. During a Sept. 9 debate in Baltimore, Dean said he was the only candidate talking to white voters about race. This was not true, but he refused to admit it afterward. Sharpton also has been critical of Dean's statement in 1995 that affirmative action should be based on class, not race. Sharpton, one of two black candidates running for president, called Dean's record "anti-black."

Dean said today that he would push for new national dialogue on race. "The flag of the Confederate States of America is a painful symbol and reminder of racial injustice and slavery," he said, adding that he did not "condone the use of it."

But Dean's rivals were unmoved, saying that he left the impression his comments about the confederate flag were made in the context of race relations. They were not. Dean originally said he wanted "to be the candidate for guys with confederate flags in the window" in response to a question from a reporter in Iowa regarding his courting of gun rights activists in the 1990s.

Ed. Note: I wonder if whoever first conceived democracy ever envisioned a system in which the candidates were literally afraid to make direct appeals to the interests of the majority of the voters.

Colo. sparks racists' interest

Alliance: Bryant case, minorities make state fertile ground

The racist fliers that have been tossed into yards, clipped under windshield wipers and pinned to bulletin boards across the state in recent weeks are only the opening salvo aimed at Colorado by the country's largest white supremacist group.

A leader of the National Alliance said his West Virginia-based group has big plans for Colorado - a state once considered "a dead zone" for the promotion of racist ideas.

Shaun Walker, chief operating officer for the National Alliance, said his group now views the state as fertile ground because of the influx of more minorities and because of a recent membership boost that he links to the Kobe Bryant rape case. "We're very happy with what's happening in Colorado," Walker said in a phone interview from his Millpoint, W.Va., office. "Colorado wasn't even on our map three years ago. Last year, it started stepping up and getting into shape. And since August, we've had an enormous response."

That response, he said, has taken Colorado from a state that had only a handful of members to more than 100 members who pay dues and go to meetings. He said Colorado now has about 500 identified "supporters" - those who subscribe to the Alliance's newsletter or buy its books.

The group is estimated to have between 1,000 and 2,000 card-carrying members nationwide. In revelations that trouble some Colorado minority leaders and are dismissed by others, Walker said his group plans to run Alliance members for political office in Colorado, place lobbyists at the statehouse and, within the next decade, establish a hub office and a book and music store in Denver.

"He is poorly reading Colorado," said Evan Zuckerman, assistant director for the regional office of the Anti-Defamation League. "While he might have some converts here, I think he will be disappointed in the numbers." The Anti-Defamation League considers the National Alliance to be the largest and most active neo-Nazi and white supremacist group operating in the United States.

The National Alliance was founded in 1974 by the late William Pierce, who had been a member of the National Youth Alliance, a group that grew out of the late Alabama Gov. George Wallace's Youth for Wallace campaign. Pierce died last year, but the group has continued an active campaign to establish what National Alliance literature calls "a White Living Space."

The organization looks down on other hate groups such as the Ku Klux Klan and Aryan Nation. Walker said Alliance membership is made up of more middle-class, educated people, including professors, law officers, construction workers, military personnel, housewives and college students. The Alliance has geared recruiting efforts at young people. Video games such as "Ethnic Cleansing," "The Saga of White Willie" comic book and hate-lyric rock music produced on the Alliance's Resistance Records recording label all promote a whites- only society.

The National Alliance first gained national notoriety during the trial of Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh. Prosecutors alleged that a book written by Pierce that calls for the killing of Jews and non-whites and the violent overthrow of the federal government influenced McVeigh. The book, "The Turner Diaries," is featured prominently on the National Alliance website, along with a second book by Pierce called "Hunter" that tells the story of a serial killer who murders interracial couples and Jews.

Walker said the Alliance does not promote violence. "We can't condone violence," he said. "We can't be foolish enough to start something violent." Denver Police Department Detective John White said the Alliance has not been connected to any violence in Colorado, but nationally, members have been linked to explosives cases.

Minority groups are more concerned about violence that the Alliance's hate message might incite in others. "They are promoting hate. That is one step towards violence," said Scott Chaplin, director of the Stepstone Center, an organization that works with the Latinos who now make up half the population in the Roaring Fork Valley town of Carbondale.

Carbondale residents received Alliance fliers in the past two weeks. So did residents in Delta, Montrose, Telluride, Cortez, Durango, Alamosa, Glenwood Springs, Clifton, Gunnison and Broomfield. Eagle and Colorado Springs were hit with fliers in August after basketball star Bryant was accused of raping a young white woman in Eagle. In the past year, Denver, Boulder and Canon City also have been targeted with the fliers.

The fliers come from the Alliance's website, where followers can download an assortment of hate messages. Some refer to immigrants as "parasites" and immigration as an "invasion." Others warn white women to stay away from black men and state that nonwhites are turning America into a Third World slum. Walker said that following the dispersal of fliers in August, the Alliance received about 300 supportive calls from Colorado.

He said the Alliance had been receiving about 15 to 20 calls per month from Colorado prior to that. Walker said the Alliance has a policy of not revealing how many members the group has nationwide. Zuckerman said she believes numbers have dropped since Pierce died and infighting has erupted in the group. The Anti-Defamation League now puts membership for the Alliance at about 1,000. "It's impossible to say how many members they have," Zuckerman said. She said the problem with measuring the size of the group is that most members don't identify themselves. They go out under cover of darkness to leave fliers.

Representatives of minority organizations in Colorado say they will be monitoring the increased Alliance activities in the state and countering it. "We are intelligent people, and we have ways to deal with these things," said Linda Williams, president of the African American Leadership Initiative in Denver. The subject will come up this month when a number of groups from around Colorado will be coming together to devise strategies to deal with hate groups and hate crimes. The Colorado Hate Crimes Training Work Group, a coalition of law enforcement and community-based groups, will be meeting in Aurora on Nov. 14.

The chief operating officer of the National Alliance says the group is happy with "what's happening in Colorado." Shaun Walker says the new interest has raised the group's membership in the state to more than 100 people. The group distributed fliers in Eagle two months ago, encouraging whites not to have sex with blacks because of AIDS. The group also left fliers on car windshields in Colorado Springs when the City Council was considering a resolution against racism. Walker says he plans to place lobbyists at the state Capitol and put candidates on the ballot. The Anti-Defamation League says Walker is "poorly reading Colorado."

National Alliance Efforts 'Outstanding' in Colorado

It's popping up all over the news wires -- from local papers to major dailies -- from television news stories to the Associated Press. The National Alliance is hot in Colorado, mainly due to the intelligent activism of members in the state and the leadership of Western States Regional Coordinator Roger Williams. The media coverage of our outreach efforts to White Coloradans got even more intense when Alliance COO Shaun Walker granted an interview to Colorado media. The coverage of the Denver Post was typical: "The racist fliers that have been tossed into yards, clipped under windshield wipers and pinned to bulletin boards across the state in recent weeks are only the opening salvo aimed at Colorado by the country's largest white supremacist group.

"A leader of the National Alliance said his West Virginia-based group has big plans for Colorado - a state once considered 'a dead zone' for the promotion of racist ideas.

"Shaun Walker, chief operating officer for the National Alliance, said his group now views the state as fertile ground because of the influx of more minorities and because of a recent membership boost that he links to the Kobe Bryant rape case.

"'We're very happy with what's happening in Colorado,' Walker said in a phone interview from his Millpoint, W.Va., office. 'Colorado wasn't even on our map three years ago. Last year, it started stepping up and getting into shape. And since August, we've had an enormous response.'

"That response, he said, has taken Colorado from a state that had only a handful of members to more than 100 members who pay dues and go to meetings. He said Colorado now has about 500 identified "supporters" - those who subscribe to the Alliance's newsletter or buy its books."

Mr. Walker predicted that eventually the Alliance will "run ...members for political office in Colorado, place lobbyists at the statehouse and, within the next decade, establish a hub office and a book and music store in Denver."

Evan Zuckerman, assistant director for the crime- and corruption-linked Jewish Anti-Defamation League in the area wasn't too happy, admitting that the Alliance has made converts but disputing the numbers without offering any proof.

And, despite insinuations to the contrary by the paper, Mr. Walker stated firmly that the Alliance is a legal and non-violent organization: "We can't condone violence. We can't be foolish enough to start something violent."

The paper also tried to imply that the National Alliance looks down on Whites who belong to certain professions and that we have ongoing serious disputes with other pro-White organizations. The former allegation was put to rest by Mr. Walker, who told the reporter that the Alliance has members from many walks of life -- and the second claim is invalid also, as the good relations enjoyed by the Alliance with many other pro-White groups clearly shows.

A new Jewish organization has emerged on the scene: 'Justice for Jews from Arab Countries' (JJAC), and they are intent on bilking Arab and Muslim countries for billions of dollars. The JJAC is based in Washington D.C. and is a conglomeration of U.S. Jewish organizations such as the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations (CPMAJO), the World Jewish Congress (WJC), and the American Sephardi Federation (ASF), all conglomerations themselves.( http://tinyurl.com/tt07 ) In typical Jewish fashion, the title of this newly-formed organization is quite misleading. One might be led to believe that the poor Jews from Arab countries are in dire need of some sort of 'justice.' On the contrary, the purpose of the JJAC is to extort enormous sums of money from several Arab countries -- 100,000,000,000.00 (100 billion) dollars to be exact. This new amalgamation of American Jewish organizations has conducted numerous meetings on what they are calling "The Forgotten Exodus," and are actually claiming that, due to the creation of the Jewish state of Israel, 850,000 Jews were somehow "displaced" from Arab countries and are due astronomical "reparations."

It is estimated that only 10,000 "former Iraqi Jews" are currently residing in the US ( http://tinyurl.com/tt19 ) and another ten to fifteen thousand reside in the UK. What has happened to the remaining 825,000? According to the Jewish Post of New York ( http://tinyurl.com/tt1k ) "most of these Jews from Arab countries ...have made aliyah to Israel," meaning that they have taken up residence in, and have become citizens of, the Jewish state of Israel. That's right folks, those Jews that were living in Arab countries have been "displaced" right to Israel, the very purpose for which Israel was created, and now they have the audacity to demand 100 billion dollars for their "plight." Do the math; each and every "displaced" Jew could receive the sum of $117,647.05 from Arabs just for moving to the Jewish state. One might wonder how the Jews came up with this colossal sum of $100 billion. Carol Basri, an Israeli lawyer, told the Jewish Week that the emigrating Jews were only permitted to take a certain amount of underwear and shoes with them, "as a result... an estimated $150 million to $200 million worth of Jewish property was left behind...." In addition to these individual claims there are also many communal claims of the "Arab Jews" losing hospitals and schools to the Iraqis.

Most articles written on this issue take only small notice of the Palestinians who were displaced upon the creation of Israel, usually using the United Nations' low estimate of 726,000 Palestinian refugees. That number, of course, is not only low, but is based on the initial number of Palestinians kicked off of their land in 1948. Since then, Israel has confiscated Palestinian property in the wars, aggressions, and massacres of 1956, 1967, 1973, and 1982 -- and of course it is still happening -- successfully displacing at best, murdering at worst, more Palestinians and stealing their possessions and property and creating several hundreds of thousands of additional refugees. Also there is no mention of the fact that Palestinians owned almost 94% of the land that was claimed by Israel -- most of which was confiscated and went into the "National Jewish Fund" (yet another misleading title) and which is therefore declared by Jewish law to be "Land of Israel," which can never be sold to a non-Jew.

Note that not only is the JJAC based in Washington D.C., but the organizations that make up its membership are also based in the U.S. -- and ever at the ready to take up the plight of the perpetually-suffering Jews is our supernaturally Judeophile government. Sen. Dick Santorum (R-Pa.), the third highest-ranking Senate Republican and chairman of the Senate Republican Conference (which helps to set GOP policy) has taken up the "plight" of these "displaced" Jews. Many leading Jews are pressing for this issue to be included in the "road map for peace" as a prerequisite for Israel's participation. Dr. Heskel Haddad, a Manhattan ophthalmologist who heads the American Committee for the Rescue and Resettlement of Iraqi Jews, states that "we plan to file a class action lawsuit like the ones filed against the Swiss Banks." He then continues "...when we get the money, individuals will put in their claims, just like with the holocaust claims." Now here is one of those rare glimpses into the workings of the Jewish mind, one that was no doubt intended for Jewish eyes only: Mr. Haddad then warns "...But I've cautioned that we should wait because we do not want to appear thirsty for money." Al Sharpton of New York, one of two African-Americans in the race, and then Senator John Edwards of North Carolina attacked him for using what they asserted was a potent and divisive symbol of segregation.

"Martin Luther King said, `Come to the table of brotherhood,' " Mr. Sharpton said, speaking at a nationally televised CNN debate. "You can't bring a Confederate flag to the table of brotherhood. And you can't misquote Martin Luther King like that. I come out of the King movement; I didn't just read him."

"If a Southern person running if John Edwards or Bob Graham had said that they'd have been run out of the race," Mr. Sharpton continued. "I don't think you're a bigot, but I think it is insensitive, and I think you ought to apologize."

Dr. Dean, the former governor of Vermont, turned to Mr. Sharpton and responded: "We're not going to win in this country anymore as Democrats if we don't have a big tent. And I'm going to tell you right now, Reverend, you're right, I am not a bigot."

Mr. Edwards, who was born in South Carolina, then bounded across the stage wagging a finger. "Unless I missed something, Governor Dean still has not said he was wrong," he shouted. "Were you wrong, Howard? Were you wrong to say that?"

4 Dead, 4 Hurt in Ariz. Highway Shooting

CASA GRANDE, Ariz. -- A highway chase turned deadly when immigrant smugglers opened fire at a rival group, killing four people and wounding five, authorities said. Four suspects were arrested in the desert Tuesday, following the deadly chase. Smugglers in a van chased down a pickup and sport utility vehicle carrying other smugglers and illegal immigrants, said Pinal County Sheriff Roger Vanderpool.

"This was clearly a retaliation to send a message," Vanderpool said. One group had taken the other group's smuggled immigrants earlier, he said. Highway patrol officers first got calls about an accident along Interstate 10 outside Casa Grande, about 50 miles south of Phoenix, and later received calls about a shooting. When officers arrived, they found four people shot to death. Passengers in the pickup and SUV didn't return fire, Vanderpool said. The driver and three men traveling in the pickup were killed. Three other people were injured.

Authorities said two people in the SUV, including a woman who was shot in the foot, also were wounded by gunfire. Eleven others who had been in the pickup were found unharmed north of the scene.

Several hours later, authorities arrested four people suspected of being the gunmen who had abandoned the van and fled into the desert near Chandler, said Border Patrol spokesman Rob Daniels. Three firearms were recovered. The shootings came as Mexican President Vicente Fox was visiting Arizona to discuss migration issues.

The names of the gunmen and victims were not released Tuesday night. Vanderpool said the wounded were taken to hospitals, but he didn't have details about their injuries. Arizona is one of the busiest illegal entry points on the U.S.-Mexico border for those engaged in the lucrative business of immigrant smuggling. "This phenomenon is not something new where we see a group being essentially ripped off by another group," said Russell Ahr, spokesman for the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Traffic slowed on the highway as authorities investigated the shootings, which also caused a wreck involving three other vehicles that seriously injured one person.

Marlins Player Faces Rape Charge Pittsburgh police arrested Castro after a 28-year-old woman accused him of assaulting and raping her in a hotel room Aug. 28. The woman said she met Castro at a nightclub in the city's Strip District and went to his room at the Westin Convention Center Hotel early in the morning.

Castro is charged with rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault, sexual assault and unlawful restraint, but is being allowed to remain free until trial. No trial date has been set yet. Castro, who is married and has two daughters, denies the allegation. He was not on Marlins roster during the postseason when they won the World Series.

Two females have reported being approached in a lewd manner by an unknown man on Monday on the Sam Houston State University campus. A black male, matching a similar description of a suspect wanted for an attempted sexual assault Sept. 10, allegedly exposed himself to the women about 4:45 p.m.

The students were approached by the unidentified man as they walked south on a sidewalk located on the west side of the Teacher Education Center. The sidewalk was near a stairwell that leads down to Johnson Coliseum, according to University Police Department reports.

CAMBRIDGE -- Two Framingham men accused of drugging and providing liquor to a pair of 13-year-old girls before the men allegedly raped them were indicted last week by a Middlesex grand jury.

Juan Alicea, 27, of 208 Irving St., and Melvin Rodriguez, 26, of 10 Berry St., are both charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Rodriguez is also charged with five counts of indecent assault and battery on a person under the age of 14, two counts of drugging a person for sexual intercourse, two counts of rape of a child and open and gross conduct. Alicea is also charged with two counts of indecent assault and battery on a person under 14, drugging a person for sexual intercourse and rape of a child. According to court records, both men are accused of raping the girls on Aug. 7.

The two girls knew the alleged assailants, and went to a home in Framingham, where the alleged assaults took place, authorities allege. The pair is accused of plying the girls with liquor, drugging and then raping them. Both men were arraigned in August at Framingham District Court where they pleaded innocent. They were both ordered held on $2,000 cash bail. Their Superior Court arraignment date was not available yesterday.

MOSCOW - An American oil executive yesterday was named chief executive officer of Yukos, Russia's biggest and most embattled company.

Simon Kukes, 56, who was born in Russia but emigrated to the United States 30 years ago, replaces Mikhail Khodorkovsky, who announced his resignation Monday from his Moscow prison cell.

Kukes received a doctorate from the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, then left the country and did postdoctoral work at Rice University in Houston. He joins two other U.S. executives atop the Yukos leadership - Steven Theede, from Hutchison, Kan., executive director of the Yukos-Moscow division, and Bruce Misamore, from Houston, the chief financial officer.

Khodorkovsky, 40, Russia's richest man with a personal fortune approaching $10 billion, was arrested in Siberia two weeks ago in a raid by masked federal agents. He is facing seven charges, including fraud and tax evasion. The government has frozen his shares in Yukos as a hedge against possible fines and back taxes.

Several oil and financial analysts in Moscow praised Kukes' credentials yesterday. They credited him with engineering this year's merger of Tyumen Oil, known as TNK, with British Petroleum.

As an American, Kukes (pronounced KOO-kesh) will be "outside the possible pressures from the prosecutor general's office and the government," Maria Radina, an analyst at AVK Securities in Moscow, told the Interfax news agency. "The appointment of a foreigner to such a high post will further secure the company's management against possible incidents."

First refusal

Namibia's President Sam Nujoma is a close ally of Zimbabwe's Robert Mugabe and last year Prime Minister Theo-Ben Gurirab said he would increase the pressure on white farmers to sell their land.

Namibia's Government is committed to the principle of "willing buyer- willing seller" - which means no-one is forced to sell up, but if they do the state gets first refusal.

Zimbabwe also followed this principle for 17 years after independence in 1980. A senior official in the ministry of lands, resettlement and rehabilitation, Frans Tsheehama, said the government would not allow any illegal land occupations.

"Let us be patient and follow the adopted policy of land reform. I do not see us, as a country, winning via any other route," he said.

Whites make up 6% of the Namibian population and about one third of them are descended from German settlers.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in Italy ahead of Thursday's European Union-Russia summit.

The two leaders clearly enjoy each other's company

On Wednesday, he will have an audience with the Pope before the summit officially begins.

This is the last EU-Russia summit before 10 new countries, many former members of the former Soviet bloc, join the European club in 2004. The aim is to confirm a timetable that will bring Russia into the European Economic Area and elevate EU-Russian relations to a new status.

This will involve opening markets, removing trade barriers and harmonising legislation, and would put Russia's relations with the EU on the same level as Norway. Co-operation in the fight against organised crime, and the rules governing sales of Russian gas and oil are also to be discussed.

Yukos issue However, the significance of this meeting looks set to be overshadowed by the domestic crisis currently facing Mr Putin at home in Russia.

Khodorkovsky's arrest is seen by some as politically-motivated The arrest of oil tycoon Mikhail Khodorkovsky, who was charged with fraud and tax evasion, has been heavily criticised by the international community.

It is seen by many as a politically motivated move to curb Mr Khodorkovsky's political ambitions and his funding of parties opposed to Mr Putin. This issue may not officially be on the European summit agenda, but is will almost certainly be on the minds of everyone attending.

While Mr Putin prepares his European charm offensive, lawyers for the imprisoned former head of Yukos are also in Italy, pleading for the EU to raise the issue at the summit.

The US State Department as well as EU foreign policy chiefs have expressed their concerns over the Yukos issue, saying it raises serious questions about democracy in Russia that must be addressed.

'Two men at ease'

But this is unlikely to happen at the summit here in Rome.

Putin stayed at Berlusconi's Sardinia villa earlier this year The Italian Government has already indicated that the prosecution of Mr Khodorkovsky remains an issue "absolutely internal to Russia", and few doubt that Mr Berlusconi will want to risk his close personal relationship with Mr Putin.

The last time the Russian and Italian leaders met was late August when Mr Putin and his family stayed at Mr Berlusconi's holiday villa in Sardegna. Photographed in matching white shirts unbuttoned casually, always smiling and talking informally together, the picture was of two men at ease in each others company.

The summer heat may be over, but relations are as warm as ever. Although dinner was not formally on Tuesday's agenda, Mr Berlusconi and the Russian president chose to dine together with their wives at Palazzo Chigi, the headquarters of the Italian presidency of the European Union.

Key partners

Russian relations are of crucial national importance to Italy both politically and economically.

Italy is Russia's second biggest trading partner after Germany, and the future place of Russia at the heart of Europe is one of Mr Berlusconi's grand visions. It is no coincidence that in one of Mr Berlusconi's first speeches as EU president, he expressed his desire to see Russia eventually enfolded into the embrace of the EU.

The Italian prime minister has also enthusiastically backed Russia's efforts to join the World Trade Organisation. President Putin's next stop will be Paris on Friday, where he is scheduled to meet the French President, Jacques Chirac.

As you know, on September 30 VNN posted mail from Doc, which said that VonBluvens had vanished, and, "It is believed that Von is on the run and going underground to continue fighting for the White Nationalist cause. Due to recent threats on his life several members of the VONBLUVENS cadre have been watching over him." I have no idea what "cadre" he's speaking of, he also mentioned law-enforcement being involved somehow, and the whole thing sounded flaky.

In any event, five weeks later, and we get the news that Von will have a new show up, including this on his website: "I will explain all with the latest show." I download the show, and Von says, "Where has VonBluvens been for the past 30 days? Well, quite frankly it's none of your fucking business, but I've been on the run and had to relocate the VonBluvens bunker. And by the way, I would appreciate the shekels, so just go into the PayPal account and send me whatever you want to send." Uh... It's kind of unusual to be invited to listen to an explanation, then be told that an explanation is none of your business, and in the same breath be asked for money.

The show then went downhill. No Doc. Von had three guests, young men who were not identified (perhaps they were in the "cadre" but he never said anything about that). Their manner of speaking suggested a slightly drunken car-wash crew. They contributed a lot of loud voices, happy shouts of "Scooby dooby doo!" but didn't seem to have much knowledge of white nationalism (at 20:25 Von had to explain the significance of "88" to them, and at 21:55 one used the jew term, "white supremacists"). At 23:00, someone followed up a comment with a loud belch into the microphone. At 48:00 an echo effect was used to enhance the sound of a fart, which was followed by laughter. Lots of "fuck," "motherfucker," throughout the show I know that's part of everyday speech now, but it seems shriller here.

The Guardian

One evening in May, my father-in-law proudly took out an old magazine. It was a November 1938 edition of Homes and Gardens, featuring a modernist bungalow built in Wraysbury, on the banks of the Thames, designed by his father, Henry Carr. The 65-year-old magazine was, and still is, one of his proudest family heirlooms, but he had only ever looked at the article on his father's house. I started to flick through it and found something quite remarkable.

As a result of this casual browse through an old magazine, I have struck up a friendship with an amateur historian in Louisiana, been involved in a copyright tussle with the UK's biggest magazine publisher, been branded a Nazi sympathiser, been written about in the New York Times, International Herald Tribune and the Jerusalem Post, and become the subject of a petition from 60 Holocaust scholars as well as protests from David Irving.

My discovery was an article headlined "Hitler's Mountain Home" - a breathless, three-page Hello!-style tour around Haus Wachenfeld, Hitler's chalet in the Bavarian Alps. In it, the author, the improbably named Ignatius Phayre, tells us that "it is over 12 years since Herr Hitler fixed on the site of his one and only home. It had to be close to the Austrian border". It was originally little more than a shed, but he was able to develop it "as his famous book Mein Kampf became a bestseller of astonishing power".

The great dictator, it seems, was quite the interiors wizard: "The colour scheme throughout this bright, airy chalet is light jade green. The Fhrer is his own decorator, designer and furnisher, as well as architect... [Hitler] has a passion about cut flowers in his home."

And he is seldom alone in his mountain hideaway, as he "delights in the society of brilliant foreigners, especially painters, musicians and singers. As host, he is a droll raconteur... "

Oh, and look who's practising his archery in the garden: "It is strange to watch the burly Field-Marshal Gering, as chief of the most formidable airforce in Europe, taking a turn with the bow-and-arrow at straw targets of 25 yards range."

And on it gushes, all accompanied by various photos of Hitler and friends admiring the view, examining plans for the house, and one delightful shot of Adolf relaxing on a deckchair with "one of his pedigree alsatians beside him".

November 1938 was two years after Hitler had occupied the Rhineland and six months after "union" with Austria. He had just taken Czechoslovakia and Germany was weeks away from the horrors of Kristallnacht. Yet here was a British interiors magazine treating the architect of all this as if he were the Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen of his day.

I scanned the pages of the article, and put them up on my (not frequently visited) weblog. Nothing really happened, and I forgot about it. In August, I revamped my weblog, and wrote about the software I was using in the pages of Guardian Online. I also gave a bit of prominence again on my site to the Hitler scans. Within a week or so, I noticed I was getting about 10,000 page impressions a day on the Hitler pages. Given that I was used to about 300 on a good day on the whole site, this was quite remarkable. I emailed Isobel McKenzie-Price, the editor of Homes and Gardens, which is now published by the Time Warner-owned publishing giant, IPC. I told her about the piece, asked if she or anyone there knew anything about it, and whether they had any other copies.

Two weeks later, I received an email from McKenzie-Price saying: "This piece, text and photographs is still in copyright and any unauthorised reproduction is an infringement of copyright. In the circumstances I must request you to remove this article from your website."

This wasn't quite what I'd expected. But as I am responsible for the commercial side of the Guardian's websites, I am all too aware of copyright issues, and so begrudgingly accepted their stance. I sent a reply saying I was happy to take the pictures down, as I respected their claim for copyright. But a) as I wasn't making any money from it, I thought they were being a bit heavy-handed, b) as this was an important historical document, with much to tell us about both the past and present, they should really try to give it an official home on the internet, making all the copyright information clear, and c) that as it had already been online for several months, it was very likely to have been copied by other sites, so getting me to take it down wouldn't be the end of it. I never received a response.

I posted our correspondence on my site. Suddenly, I was deluged with comments from all sorts of people. Some were supportive, some dismissive. There was one accusing me of being a Nazi sympathiser wanting to promote Hitler as a decent human being, and threatening to report me to the anti-defamation league. (I'm Jewish, so this was mildly insulting.) There were a few bits of shocking anti-semitism from some neo-Nazis; and some very, very detailed debate about copyright. And, as I had predicted, the pages had already been copied and appeared on sites around the world - mainly in Israel and the USA. Unfortunately, one of these belonged to the Holocaust revisionist David Irving.

Journalists started to take an interest. The New York Times wrote about my copyright struggles, then syndicated it to the International Herald Tribune and the Jerusalem Post. Wired News covered it on the internet, with a link to my site. And a US talk show host I've never heard of, Jeff Rense, wrote about it on his alternative news site (www.rense.com), which sent thousands more people in my direction. Strangely, the story passed most of the UK media by. In all of this coverage, I was rather distressed to find David Irving arguing with me to make the article available. Not my ideal partner.

Then, one Friday, I was checking my website for comments, and I saw one from an EJ Brock, which read: "For the record, none of the photos in the article are original to the article. All were published previously in Germany and are in the public domain." The next few hours saw a flurry of emails between myself and my new friend: Eric Brock, a Jewish Louisiana-based historian and amateur collector of Nazi memorabilia. It turned out that the photos were actually taken by Heinrich Hoffmann, Hitler's official publicity photographer. Homes and Gardens hadn't actually taken any photos, they had just called them in from the Nazi's press office. Some of them were taken years before the article had appeared.

Heinrich Hoffmann took thousands of publicity shots of Hitler. Most importantly for his bank balance, he took the photos of Hitler that appeared on Germany's stamps during the war, and Hitler kindly let him have a royalty on each stamp. As a result, after the war, he was imprisoned for being a Nazi profiteer. (There was another reason why Hitler favoured Hoffmann. He introduced the Fhrer to his assistant, a delightful young lady called Eva Braun.)

I put them back up on my site and quipped that if only I could find out that the text was written by Joseph Goebbels, then I'd be able to publish that as well. Two weeks later, I received an email from Rachel Zuckerman, a journalist on the US Jewish newsapaper, Forward. She told me that a group of 60 holocaust scholars organised by the Wyman Institute for Holocaust Studies had signed a petition asking for IPC to make the article publicly available.

This took the whole story to a new level. IPC was no longer dealing with an irritating bloke with a blog, and it was no longer a simple matter of copyright. It was the subject of a full-on assault from the US Holocaust lobby. I was glad someone other than David Irving was now demanding it. After weeks of silence and guarded statements to journalists, IPC was prodded into action. I received an email from IPC, who forwarded me a statement it had sent to the Wyman Institute. It conceded that "after extensive research ... there is no way of ascertaining where copyright ownership lies after 65 years. Therefore, it is not in our gift to either agree or withdraw use of these images and words."

For me, this prompted a mix of victory and fury. Yes, I could put the scans back up on my site, but it was clear that they simply hadn't made any detailed checks on copyright when I first contacted them, and had hoped it would all go away with a single stern email. Fortunately for me, in this internet age, such clumsy tactics don't work. Their attempt to squash the problem had simply amplified it. The Wyman institute, however, is still not entirely happy. It is glad that the article is now widely available, but would like an apology from IPC. The two sides are still in negotiations over this.

Personally, I have asked IPC if they will let my father-in-law have a free subscription to his favourite magazine, Practical Boat Owner, as compensation for the way they treated me. I'm still waiting xear back. Simon Waldman is the Guardian's director of digital publishing.

We have no proof Santa Claus went to Mars, but since no one can completely discount it, why not do a nationally-televised TV show about it, couching it in suitably pseudo-intellectual, history-mystery trappings? As one can readily see, Jesus Christ can be kicked into the sewer in "our democratic" American media, and his true followers along with him, and it's no big deal.

President Vicente Fox said Monday that Mexico wanted work visas, legalization and family reunification for undocumented migrants, but stopped short of calling for U.S. citizenship for them.

Speaking to reporters on the eve of his Nov. 4-6 visit to Texas, New Mexico and Arizona, Fox said Jew-fuelled immigration issues will be on the agenda of his visit, but that trade and economic issues will also be discussed.

"The points we want to address are the need for documents for those (migrants) who are already there" in the United States, Fox said.

"We need for the families of those who already are there to be able to get together their relatives ... and organize a flow of people who go each year for temporary work, or permanent work, without the need to become U.S. citizens."

"That (citizenship) is not something we are asking for," Fox said.

Asked when he thought immigration reform could be realized, Fox said "I don't think we should build expectations beyond reality. We've just come through months in which there wasn't any progress at all.

"Fortunately, we are back at the negotiating table with the government of Jew-lover,Bush."

Asked his opinion on recently elected California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Fox had trouble pronouncing the name of the Austrian-born actor, but said he hoped they would be able to get along.

"We haven't taken a position one way or the other," Fox said. "We hope to be able to work on the relationship."

Schwarzenegger has opposed the granting of drivers' licenses to undocumented migrants, a stance viewed in Mexico as anti-immigrant.

"We're sure we'll able to work hand in hand with the new administration (in California), just as we did before with Gov. (Gray) Davis," Fox said. "We are certainly going to watch closely to see that the human rights and labor rights of immigrants are respected in California."

Fox has come under pressure from Mexico's Congress to use his upcoming trip to publicly denounce perceived abuses of migrants, such as the arrest of dozens of undocumented cleaning workers at Wal-Mart stores in October.

But Fox said he prefers a friendlier approach that strives for "concrete solutions in some specific areas, while we continue to work on the big issues."

"When we have to protest, we protest; when we have to demand, we demand; and when we have to denounce, we denounce," Fox said. "When we seek to work together to build a constructive solution and analysis, that is the most important route."

A flotilla of rickety boats bringing up to five hundred Jew-incited illegal immigrants landed on Italys southernmost island of Lampedusa on October 28. Many more vessels were reported to be on their way from Libya, the country that is quietly facilitating the exodus.

Only nine days earlier, on October 19, the Italian coast guard boarded a disabled wooden fishing boat near the island. On board they found 15 Somali illegal immigrants alive, and 13 of them dead. The authorities were told that dozens of others had been tossed overboard during the hellish 16-day voyage from the Libyan port of Zuwarah.

The death toll was even higher last June, when two hundred illegals drowned after their overloaded trawler sank off Sicily. Many more boats packed with migrants from Africa and Asia land somewhere along Europe's southern coast almost every day. Their numbers are unknown, but the cumulative effect is not in doubt: it is estimated that Italy is currently home to one million Third World migrants, overwhelmingly Muslims from North Africa, Somalia, and the Middle East.

The Italians are facing an invasion, and losing their nerve. Giuseppe Pisanu, Italy's minister of the interior and top official responsible for controlling the country's borders, declared that the October 19 incident was "a dreadful tragedy that weighs on the conscience of Europe." His reaction is incongruous but characteristic of the liberal mind. If "Europe" should feel guilty that people who have no right to come to its shores are risking their lives trying to do so illegally, then only the establishment of a free passenger service between Tripoli and Palermo -- with no passport or customs formalities -- would offer some relief to that burdened conscience.

Umberto Bossi, Italy's Minister of Reforms, is the only influential member of Silvio Berlusconi's center-right cabinet who demands strict enforcement of the country's immigration laws. When he suggested that boats carrying illegals should be prevented from landing by force, his stand earned him the label of a "racist" and a "xenophobe." Even his partners from the "post-Fascist" National Alliance (AN) are wavering. The AN now favors giving the vote to non-citizen immigrants. Some ministers in the center-right coalition favor abolishing all quotas on immigrants in the name of economic necessity, as Italy's population ages and dwindles.

The unceasing deluge of illegals is being slowly accepted by many Italians as inevitable, and therefore unworthy of resistance. Once they reach Lampedusa, halfway from Sicily to Africa, the illegals are shipped to the mainland while their "asylum" applications are processed. Once there, they disappear. The results are visible in certain parts of Milan and Turin, which now resemble Algiers or Tripoli. In Venice -- as Oriana Fallaci laments -- little rugs with "merchandise" have replaced the pigeons of Piazza San Marco, and in Genoa the marvelous palazzi that Rubens so admired "have been seized by them and are now perishing like beautiful women who have been raped."

The phenomenon we are witnessing in Italy today was forecast and diagnosed with uncanny precision over three decades ago by French novelist Jean Raspail in his Camp of the Saints. He predicted a conquest of Europe by Third World boat people supported by the enemy within -- politicians, professors, talking heads, churchmen -- who had already quashed in the minds of young Europeans any vestige of "the triumphant joy at feeling oneself to be part of humanity's finest" and replaced it with a "monstrous cancer" of self-loathing. "It wasn't a matter of tender heart," Raspail says, "but a morbid, contagious excess of sentiment." Sr. Pisanu could have been his model.

Population explosion and utter dysfunctionality of most Third World societies, coupled with the spiritual enfeeblement and demographic collapse of Europe, has produced predictable results. In all creation disease and frailty invite predators. Both the loss of the will to define and defend one's native soil, and the loss of the desire to procreate, send an alluring signal to the rest: come, for no Western nation has the guts to shed blood -- alien or its own -- in the name of its own survival. As Raspail says his Afterward,

"the proliferation of other races dooms our race, my race, irretrievably to extinction in the century to come, if we hold fast to our present moral principles. No other race subscribes to these moral principles -- if that is really what they are -- because they are weapons of self-annihilation."

Those "moral principles" are traced by Igor Shafarevich, in his Socialist Phenomenon, to Utopianism -- the yearning for man's God-like absolute freedom that cannot stop short of the freedom to choose death over life. Short of a miraculous last-minute recovery, Europe's choice of death will become irreversible within a decade. On Italy's present form no miracle is to be expected.

The 1 million dollars per hour figure is based on the average from the last 9 or so years of the two larger payments from the U.S. government to the state of "Israel": the usually "aid" gift of 5 billion or so on top of 4 billion in "loan guarantees" (loans that if "Israel" doesn't pay back the U.S. taxpayers pick up the tab, which supposedly has happened every year) which start at 9 billion dollars a year. There are other payments, sometimes specific to the endangered-jew scare story peculiar to that year, and occasionally news stories about under-the-table payments crop up. Anyway, in a 365 day year of 24 hour days there are 8,760 hours. Divide that into 9 billion dollars and you get 1.02 million dollars an hour.

To figure out how much the West as a whole goes through this shakedown you would need a battalion of hardboiled detectives with six-fingered accountants as sidekicks. One major but seemingly deadend papertrail cost to consider would be the cheap labor Israel-firsters flood the West with on top of the "social services" WE pay for mostly to maintain the health of THEIR alien slave gang. Compared with the usually fanciful and rarely law-based accusations made against the antebellum South, this one could never be made.

Nicholas, having been deposed in the Russian revolution of February 1917, was shot to death a year later by his Bolshevik guards. Slain with him were his wife and four children. The killings were a brutal act by a ruthless dictatorship. The bishops have named the royals "martyrs," an Orthodox form of sainthood.

But the Romanovs were not saints. They were corrupt, superstitious, cowardly tyrants who kept their own people in ignorance and servitude. The brutality of the communist tyrants who ruled Russia after the tsars may have dulled some memories to the brutality of the tsars. It bears recalling that much of the world celebrated the Romanovs' overthrow, and for good reason.

For Jews, the memory of the tsars carries a special bitterness. The Jews of tsarist Russia, then the largest, most culturally vibrant Jewish community in the world, suffered terrible persecutions under the Romanovs. Throughout the 19th and early 20th centuries, through direct government policy, Russian Jews were by turns impoverished, massacred, starved, saw their religious practices banned and their sons snatched away at age 12 for quarter-century terms of military service. A raft of restrictive laws in 1881, accompanied by government-inspired mob violence, led to a mass Jewish exodus from Russia, the largest population movement in Jewish history then or since. Only the tsars' overthrow ended the physical terror of Russian Jewry.

The memory of the tsars' cruelty may have dimmed over time, overshadowed by the long nightmare of their communist successors and by the sheer monstrosity of the Nazi Holocaust. It bears recalling that the tsarist persecutions were, in their day, all but unmatched in the long, dismal sweep of Jewish history. Jews throughout the world worked and prayed for the tsars' overthrow, and for good reason.

Given this history, the church's decision to canonize Tsar Nicholas II is deeply disturbing. At best, it shows an insensitivity to the feelings of many Russians, Jewish and non-Jewish, who remember the tsar's grim record. At worst it betrays a reactionary, anti-democratic strain unworthy of a great world religion.

In recent years, the canonization plans of another Christian church have been met with vigorous, worldwide Jewish protest for far less provocation. Jews have objected to the proposed canonization by the Vatican of Pope Pius XII, not because of anything that pope did, but because he failed to speak out strongly enough in the face of the Nazi genocide. Iraq: An Untenable Bog

Several months elapsed since the American declaration of military victory in Iraq, accomplished with modest casualties and justified by pretexts of even smaller modesty. From a logical perspective, the nominal miliary victory accomplished in the field means nothing in a strategic situation akin to Iraq. The de facto concern in such campaigns is hardly the official defeat of a regime's organized military forces and control over its national administrative organs, but the successful management and alignment of the conquered population in favor of the victorious power.

We can generalize between two discrete archetypal conflicts: paramount and peripheral. A paramount conflict consists of total, or quite nearly total, war; including at least two major industrial powers, and the antagonistic alliances thereof. These are world-scale conflicts, which culminate in a major disorder and rearrangement of international politics and resources. Examples include major global conflicts, such as the Napoleonic wars, and both of the world wars. Conflicts such as Korea (UN/USA), Vietnam (France/USA) or Afghanistan (80s Soviet Union) comprise a different category, despite often involving a major international power. These are clashes of a different breed, wherein a country fights for strategic and tactical advantage in global power distribution and political rivalries. If the conflict is waged by a major power, victory or defeat may spell financial woes and civil unrest, along with the obvious upset of increasing strategic leverage, but does not have! calamitous planetary repercussions. Peripheral conflicts are often fought in the shadow of a paramount, albeit non-combatant, political struggle. They influence this struggle, but in a tactical manner.

Iraq has thus been a peripheral war, though a very significant one. Solitarily, the defeat of Saddam Hussein's regime has no impact on the political equipoise of the industrialized world, because Iraq was a marginal autocracy with no legitimate voice to be heard in world affairs. However, the collateral side-effects of this skirmish are an instrumental blow in the most paramount clash of world history: the complex of Judea.

Indeed, the collapse of Saddam Hussein has no intrinsic face value to the globe, even the Arab world. It is not the conflict itself which is of inherent interest but the underlying political currents and their implications. Iraq has been a stick in the eye of the Arabs, driving them into a frenetic fulmination of anti-Israel and anti-American fury. The realignment of the strategic picture in the Middle East has led to dramatic polarization in the Arab-Israeli conflict, and led to the resurgence of public awareness concerning Jewish hegemony, particularly in regards to America. The fact that Bush and his team of neo-conservatives, along with their allies, are nothing more than servile pawns in the hands of Ariel Sharon's (indeed, Zionism's) radical agenda is now abundantly clear. The world trembles in the foothills of an edifice of the sole remaining super power: the Israeli-American axis, fueled and defined only by the proverbial Jewish bloodthirst for hegemony and ascendancy.

A recent poll confirms public attitudes towards the issue. "Europeans view Israel as the No 1 threat to world peace, ahead of Iran and North Korea, according to a European Commission survey.....

In a twist that left analysts scratching their heads, the poll suggested that the British have turned against Washington even more sharply than the French or Germans. Asked if America posed a threat to peace, the "yes" response was 55 per cent in Britain, 52 in France and 45 in Germany.

In Greece, the figure reached 88 per cent, with 96 per cent calling the Iraq war "unjustified". But the EU itself is deemed a threat to peace by 18 per cent in Britain compared with eight per cent for the whole union. Only Denmark continues to back the Iraq war."

On the sand-swept desert front, however, tactical progress for the Zionist axis remains grim. Recall the point made in the first paragraph: military victory in peripheral conflicts of this nature is insignificant, what matters is the placation and subduing of the overmastered population, so that political changes may take root. For troops of the Zionist axis, the Middle Eastern crusade ended up to be a swat at a powerful hornet's nest. Much like the Soviets in Afghanistan, the axis easily overcame officially organized military defenses, but found themselves embattled in an exacting guerilla war which simply cannot be won. The situation is untenable, simply put. There are two ways to tame the Iraqi population: a savage, ruthless campaign of killing anything which even remotely looks at a US soldier askance; or the winning of public sympathy. The American troops seem to be intent on the latter, while being entangled in a political cause hell-bent on the former. It is simply not going to work, folks.

The pressure and hypocrisy is felt by US troops on the front line. "If they had the chance, U.S. soldiers at a base in Iraq would have had one question for Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld -- When are we going home?

..."I don't give a damn about Rumsfeld. All I give a damn about is going home," Specialist Rue Gretton said, humping packs of water bottles on his shoulders from a truck.

"The only thing his visit meant for us was we had to clean up a lot of mess to make the place look pretty. And he didn't even look at it anyway,"

..."I ain't happy. No way am I happy seeing that," said Specialist Devon Pierce, whose wife was due to give birth to his first son in two weeks. "This tour is hard, real hard. It's too much. It should be six months." Other soldiers said they could not complain openly about their long deployment for fear of being disciplined. Earlier this year, military leaders warned their troops they should not show disrespect for Rumsfeld after a rash of criticism from soldiers in Iraq appeared in the media." To date, 376 American soldiers have died in Iraq, with about ten times that many wounded; most of them in subsequent anti-American guerilla raids. The figure increases daily, as fierce insurgents wage a relentless campaign against US troops who are becoming ever-estranged from the legitimacy of their mission.

The soldiers, of course, are not to blame: they are dutiful citizens, heeding a patriotic calling to serve their country, regardless of the perfidious politicians who direct them towards doom at no benefit for the nation they serve. The ominous sense of doom, however, is not merely a problem experienced by soldiers staring death in the face. It is also shared by a country experiencing a harrowing recession, the deficits of which have become unimaginably increased as a result of the recent campaign. As of today, the war in Iraq has cost American tax payers 83 billion dollars, an astounding figure which could well serve to clothe and shelter the homeless, feed the hungry and a myriad of other socio-economic uses.

Furthermore, as is typical of the opprobrious political administration who rules America, most soldiers likely to lose their lives on Israel's behest are White.

"The American troops likeliest to fight and die in a war against Iraq are disproportionately white, not black, military statistics show -- contradicting a belief widely held since the early days of the Vietnam War...

''If anybody should be complaining about battlefield deaths, it is poor, rural whites,'' says Charles Moskos, a military sociologist at Northwestern University in Illinois...

White Nationalist groups are almost exclusively mens clubs, and most of the men are bachelors who complain that they cannot find suitable women. Furthermore, those men who are married frequently complain that their wives are indifferent or even hostile to their views about race. Men, it seems, are far more willing to espouse politically incorrect views about race than women. After perusing various websites and forums discussing this topic, Ive found that many men resent this fact, construing it as some sort of moral failing on the part of women. But it is not. It merely reflects the hard-wired biological differences between the sexes.

Earlier I looked at the differential selection pressures sex places on males and females. Eggs take more energy to produce than sperm, and females alone have to bear a pregnancy. And in over 90% of mammalian species, females provide substantial parental care while males provide none whatsoever. Thus females make a much larger parental investment in each offspring than do males. Parental investment increases the reproductive success of the offspring receiving it, while simultaneously decreasing the parents future reproductive success by consuming resources that could be spent on additional offspring.

Differences in behavior between the sexes came about as a result of these differing demands. A females potential reproductive success is relatively small, and is limited more by the number of eggs she can produce (or pregnancies she can carry) than by the number of males she can convince to mate with her. In contrast, a males potential reproductive success is relatively large, and is limited more by the number of females he can convince to mate with him than by the number of sperm he can produce. This difference in potential reproductive success allows us to predict that males will compete with each other for access to mates, while females will be selective about with whom they mate. Sexually, males are adventurers and risk-takers, while females are risk-avoiders.

Officers from the Sharon region investigations unit received intelligence information regarding the sale of sick notes, and decided to send one of their officers - who was serving with the unit as part of his compulsory military service - to try and make a purchase. The suspect told the officer to send him a text message with his personal details and the deal w as done. Several days later, the officer returned to the suspect, and asked him to obtain sick notes for his uncle, who had been called for reserve service. The suspect promised to provide medical certificates that would enable the "uncle" to avoid reserve service for a year, and asked for NIS 200.

Yesterday morning, when the `reservist uncle' was told to pick up the sick notes, officers raided the suspect's apartment, where they found drugs and various other forged documents. Sharon region police and Military Police are investigating suspicions that hundreds of soldiers used the service of the suspect to feign illness. During questioning, the suspect told officers that we was "like Gilad Sharon. Silent." He will be brought before the Petah Tikva Magistrates Court for a remand hearing this morning.

The economy is doing just fine -- and so is Judaism at Microsoft

http://www.jewishworldreview.com -- WHEN SUZI LEVINE began working at Microsoft more than six years ago, her recruiter joked with her, "Here's your salary, here's your stock options and here's your spouse."

Finding a Jewish community was also a priority for LeVine, who had been president of the Jewish Student Union at Brown University, where she received an engineering degree.

At first, she joined a young-adults group at the University of Washington in Seattle, 20 minutes from Microsoft's company headquarters in Redmond, Wa. "It was an easy transition, Hillel to Hillel," said the 30-year-old LeVine, who grew up in Atlantic City as Suzi Davidson.

But, over the years, she has become more active in the general Jewish community and, as the recruiter predicted, LeVine ended up marrying another (Jewish) Microsoft employee.

LeVine and her husband, Eric, are not alone in their journey to Seattle. With more and more people accepting attractive job offers at Microsoft -- as well as at other major corporations based in and around Seattle, such as Boeing, Starbucks, Amazon.com and RealNetworks -- the estimated population of the Jewish community in this high-tech boom town has shot up over the past decade from 30,000 to more than 40,000.

Since 1990, Microsoft's worldwide head count has grown from about 5,000 to more than 30,000, including about 17,000 employees working in Redmond. In the same period, the company's yearly net income has increased from $279 million to $7.79 billion.

Although Microsoft does not keep statistics regarding religious affiliation, Jewish employees estimate their number at 10 to 15 percent of the company. They describe a merit-based system that rewards productive performers with high salaries, cash bonuses and stock options. There are no signs of glass ceilings for Jews: From CEO Steve Ballmer to the lowest intern, Jews -- from North America and Israel -- can be found at all levels of the company.

Despite the growth of the Seattle Jewish population, some still wonder how long the new arrivals intend to remain. Burnout from the high demands of working at Microsoft is not unknown. Swift financial reward also offers the attraction of geographic mobility and a quick return to childhood homes back east.

The Microsoft Mohel A "snipless" circumcision set David Bolnick, the "Microsoft mohel," back on the path to Judaism. Bolnick, 44, said he was at the height of his assimilation in the early 1980s when a couple of friends invited him to their newborn son's brit milah, the religious ceremony marking the child's entry into the covenant between G-d and Abraham.

To his surprise, a rabbi arrived instead of a mohel. The circumcision had taken place in the hospital, and only the traditional blessings were said in the home.

"I was upset," admitted Bolnick, who was then a doctoral student in physiology at the University of California-Davis. He was also torn by his own lack of observance and a deep sense that the ceremony should have been different. Bolnick decided to become a mohel himself, but he quickly learned that the process was not so cut and dried. The liberal Jewish seminaries lacked training programs at the time, while other mohelim viewed him as a potential competitor and were reluctant to train him.

He studied on his own and eventually found two Orthodox mohelim in San Francisco who were willing to take him on as an apprentice. Another break came when a colleague who was a pediatric urologist invited him to observe as repair work was done on poorly executed medical circumcisions.

"You learn more from seeing someone's mistakes than seeing the successes," said Bolnick. By the time Bolnick performed his first bris milah in 1986, he said, he "was more concerned about messing up the blessings than messing up the circumcision." Raised in a Conservative household, the California-native was more uncomfortable with the Hebrew language than with a scalpel.

Financial success at Microsoft -- where Bolnick works as a government-affairs manager for the accessibility and disabilities group -- has not curbed his enthusiasm for performing the ritual. Since moving to Seattle in 1990, Bolnick has performed hundreds of circumcisions throughout the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. He said his co-workers get a kick out of his sideline profession. "We have a very diverse group, and a testament of that is that one of us is a mohel," he said.

Now observant, Bolnick said he receives as many calls for his services from intermarried couples as he does from households with two Jewish parents, but he will only perform circumcisions on the sons of Jewish mothers. He said he does about one circumcision per week.

The saddest part of the job, however, comes when he enters a room and realizes that the only reason the ceremony is taking place is to please the grandparents. "You realize that in that family," he said, "this may be the last generation that will follow Jewish practice." -- Brian Mono

"There are a lot of folks who are here and who are happy, but do not see themselves in a particular place in 20 years. [My husband and I] have a mortgage -- that's a big root," said LeVine, whose Microsoft department recently spun off and became its own company, Expedia.com, an online travel agency.

LeVine's decision to lay down roots is mirrored by Robert Cape, a 30-year-old product unit manager at Microsoft. Cape and his wife, Bonnie, recently had their first child and also finished construction on a country home.

As Cape has given signals of staying on long-term, the Jewish community has welcomed him more and more into its leadership.

The Montreal-native is a member of the board of Herzl-Ner Tamid Conservative Synagogue on Mercer Island. He is also serving his second year as campaign chair for the Young Leadership Division of the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle. And the boom has also only just begun, according to Rabbi David Fine, director of the Seattle branch of the Florence Melton Adult Mini School.

Fine, a Seattle resident since 1993, said he sees plenty of signs that the high-tech crowd is settling in for a long stay. He pointed to the growing enrollment in local Jewish day schools in the area, the greater availability of kosher food, the number of secular Jewish organizations being started and the greater number and variety of clergy in the area.

"At one point, to move to Seattle was to isolate yourself," he said. "Now, it's the core of what's happening."

HIGH-TECH COMMUNITY

It is not surprising to learn that the first place many new Microsoft employees look to find community is online. Andy Seres arrived at the company as an intern five and a half years ago and signed on to the Jews at Microsoft ("JAMs") internal e-mail alias in order to meet Jewish co-workers.

A few weeks later, Seres received a message about a wilderness hike being organized by the University of Washington Hillel. At the event, he said, he not only made new friends, but ran into a few old ones, as well.

Such internal interest groups have long been popular at Microsoft, with aliases for music, sports and other hobbies in addition to ethnic and religious groups. As the company grew, however, employees say, the burden on the e-mail system became too great. Three years ago, Microsoft decided to change the system; instead of internal e-mail, the groups all have computerized bulletin boards on which members can post events, ask questions or seek friendship.

"The difference is technical," said Seres, taking a neutral position on the change. "One is push and one is pull. It's now pull, and there is significantly less traffic on it as a result. [But], for people who want to find community, it is there."

Joseph Landes, a marketing manager, said the old system was worse. "You were barraged with mail," he complained. "It could be 100 pieces a day." Responses to the question of where to get the best bagel in Seattle seemed to drag on forever, he added.

Longtime employees note that JAMs has declined in the past few years. They said it was always more of a social and religious organization than an advocacy group.

Santiago Rodriguez, director of diversity at Microsoft, said he meets with 16 different diversity organizations within the company on a regular basis, mostly traditional racial and gender groups, but not with any religious groups, currently.

"Minority groups meet when there is a lot of discomfort and you need to find peace and quiet. [Jews] feel comfortable at Microsoft and do not feel the need to meet formally," said the 54-year-old Rodriguez. His own mother is a Jewish refugee from Nazi Germany who found a haven in Guatemala.

Microsoft employees like LeVine, Cape and Malcolm Haar were at the heart of the Seattle Young Leadership Division's effort on Super Sunday in mid-December, working the phones with more than 20 other young professionals at the offices of Alaskan Copper and Brass.

One volunteer approached Cape, the YLD campaign chair, with a stack of solicitation cards for Microsoft employees. He flipped through them quickly, pulling out the records of prospective donors who prefer face-to-face contact and those who simply do not give at all.

"One hundred percent of my Federation time is spent reaching out to Jewish employees at Microsoft for solicitations," explained Cape, who moved to Seattle six years ago. "Microsoft employees have a bodacious amount to give, and I have a knack for getting that money."

Since 1996, the local Federation's pledge goal has risen from $5 million to $8 million. That's not as fast a jump as Microsoft stock has taken, but it's a healthy 60 percent increase. Barry Goren, acting head of the Seattle Federation, noted that in the last five years the campaigns have received between 500 and 1,000 new donors each year, although 90 percent of the total dollar amount continues to be given by 10 percent of the donors.

"We haven't even begun to see the impact" of the population growth, said Goren.

Nor is Federation alone in its outreach to the large number of Jews flocking to the Pacific Northwest. In the past year alone, regional offices have been opened in Seattle by the American Society for the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology; the American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science; Hadassah, the Women's Zionist Organization of America; and the Reform Movement's Union of American Hebrew Congregations.

No doubt, they are partially attracted by Microsoft's policy of matching employee gifts of cash, stock and software up to $12,000.

Local charity raffles are filled with Microsoft software. At Congregation Shaarei Tefilah, bidding for the honor of holding a sefer Torah on Simchas Torah is sometimes done in Microsoft stock rather than dollars. Microsoft employees also donate their time to helping local Jewish agencies to set up Web sites.

"There are few companies this big with such a high concentration of people who are friendly to us," said David , the YLD director, who visits the Redmond campus once a week. "There's tons of work. It's all potential. Some is realized, but there's a lot more giving to be had."

Hohmann has been asked by his own party (CDU) to resign. Even though he has already issued an apology, the Jews are not going to rest until he is out of the picture.

The scandal drew bigger circles when Germany's Chief of the Military, Brigadier General Reinhard Guenzel, praised the words of Hohmann. Immediately, Germany's Minister of Defense, Peter Struck, relieved him of all duties, and asked the President of the German Republic, Johannes Rau, to retire the military hero. General Guenzel is also the Chief of Special Commandos of the German Military. His record is impeccable and he is very much liked by the German soldiers.

To make sure that Martin Hohmann will never speak again, the Central Committee of the Jews of Germany has filed criminal charges for "Volksverhetzung", which is punishable by fine and up to five years in prison.

Chairman of the Jewish Central Committee, Paul Spiegel, said: "This was the worst of anti-Semitism I have ever heard in the past years."

"Juden waren in groer Anzahl sowohl in der Führungsebene als auch bei den Tscheka-Erschieungskommandos aktiv. Daher könnte man Juden mit einiger Berechtigung als Tätervolk bezeichnen."

Strafanzeige wegen Volksverhetzung

Der Zentralrat der Juden in Deutschland hatte Strafanzeige gegen Hohmann wegen Volksverhetzung gestellt. Was der Abgeordnete in seiner Rede zum 3. Oktober gesagt habe, sei "das Schlimmste an Antisemitismus, was ich in den vergangenen Jahren gehört habe", sagte der Zentralrats-Vorsitzende, Paul Spiegel.

CDU-Vorstand rügt Hohmann

Wegen dieser uerung hatte der CDU-Vorstand Hohmann öffentlich gerügt. Hohmanns uerungen seien "unerträglich", sagte der Parlamentarische Geschäftsführer der Union, Volker Kauder (CDU). "Wer für den 3. Oktober eine solche Rede vorbereitet, verrät sehr viel von seiner Haltung", betonte er.

Aus Innenausschuss abgezogen

Zudem wurde Hohmann von der Unionsfraktion aus dem Innenausschuss abgezogen und in den Umweltausschuss versetzt. Weitere Sanktionen gab es zunächst nicht. Mehrere Politiker hatten gefordert, die CDU müsse sich von Hohmann trennen.

Today, the German Defense Minister, who was head of Germany's Special Forces, was fired on the spot. He was fired because he wrote a letter to Martin Hohmanns, who recently went on record about the Jewish role in Bolshevik Russia; and the General agreed with Hohmanns's statement. Hohmanns then made this known to the press, who in turn had a field day.

However, there is one thing that the press mysteriously overlooks. What was said is true.

Isn't it almost "funny" how the TRUTH has become anti-Semitic. I mean, it's an actual FACT here that we're talking about: Jews were behind the Russian revolution. This is not some outlandish statement. It should not be considered anti-Semitic, yet it is.

Jews openly bragged about the Russian revolution and its aftereffects at the time. They gloated. They were the financiers--from Warburg to Jacob Schiff (whose grandson recently married Al Gore's daughter, oddly enough). They were the revolutionaries--from Apfelbaum, to Zinoviev, to Molotov, to Trotsky (Bronstein), to Lenin (Ulyanov), etc. They were the bloodthirsty horde in the NKVD who later became the KGB, led by Kaganovich, who were responsible for liquidating 40 to 60 million innocent Russians.

And, now Jews say, "Who, us? No, Jews had nothing to do with it. You're just anti-Semitic for saying such things."

Even those Jews who might still be alive and who took part in the massacres afterward now deny the massacres had anything to do with Jews. Even though anti-Semitism became a crime punishable by death after the Russian revolution, Jews now say that they were "persecuted." Even though the churches burned while the synagogues were left standing, Jews deny that they were protected. Even though priests were murdered or forced to sweep the streets, while rabbis were put on a pedestal, Jews now say they were the ones persecuted.

There is only one thing that we can conclude from all this:

Truth is anti-Semitic.

Israel gets apology for peace-threat poll

The European Commission has apologised to Israel for an opinion poll which found that Israel is the country most ordinary Europeans regard as the biggest threat to world peace.

Israeli leaders and international Jewish groups have angrily denounced the poll, saying European criticism of Israel is motivated by anti-Semitism.

In apparent agreement, the President of the European Commission, Romano Prodi, said the results "point to the continued existence of a bias that must be condemned out of hand".

"To the extent that this may indicate a deeper, more general prejudice against the Jewish world, our repugnance is even more radical," he said.

The present holder of the rotating European presidency, the Italian Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi, said he felt "surprise and indignation" and that the question had been "misleading".

Mr Berlusconi recently weathered a similar controversy after publicly denying that the Italian dictator Benito Mussolini played any role in the Holocaust. He was subsequently awarded a prize by the Jewish Anti-Defamation League for his support for Israel and the US.

Carried out as part of continuing surveys by the European Union, the telephone poll sampled 7500 respondents in all 15 EU member states.

Presented with the names of 14 countries, the respondents were asked if they regarded each in turn as a threat to world peace. The results showed 59 per cent of respondents agreed that Israel was the biggest threat to world peace. The US, Iran and North Korea came joint second with 53 per cent. Iraq came next with 52 per cent, followed by Afghanistan.

Libya, Saudi Arabia, China, India, Somalia, Russia, Syria and Pakistan all scored less than 50 per cent.

Palestine was not listed because, the EU says, it is not a country.

Meanwhile, on a visit to Russia, the Israeli Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, said he was prepared to meet the recently appointed Palestinian Prime Minister, Ahmed Qurie, to discuss the stalled "road map" for peace.

Solberg has received death threats from disgruntled Islamists.

Solberg wants Islam 'modernized'
Cabinet Minister Erna Solberg is calling on Muslims to better integrate into Norwegian society.

Solberg, the government minister who's charge of immigration and integration issues among other things, is making some controversial demands of Muslims who have moved to Norway or grown up in the country as first- or second-generation immigrants.

In doing so, she's taking a brave stand. Solberg earlier this year was the target of death threats by a disgruntled Muslim asylum-seeker, and she also has been at the center of the storm around Mullah Krekar, the suspected terrorist who remains in Norway despite a deportation order.

She suggests nonethec that the burden of integration into Norwegian society lies as much with Muslims as it does with ethnic Norwegians who are part of the state church. After meeting with her British counterpart Beverly Hughes in London on Monday, Solberg is on the offensive.

"The Norwegian Islamic community must make more progress, and see what's happening in other European countries," Solberg told newspaper Aftenposten. "Islam in Europe must function differently than it does in Islamic countries." In this regard, she claims, the Muslim community in Norway lags far behind. She's especially critical of the role that Imams play in Norway. "These religious leaders can't just be brought up from Islamic countries where Muslims are in the majority," Solberg said. "They have no understanding of what it's like to be a Muslim in a country where they're a minority. "They have to get more education, which they should get here in Europe," she continued. "It's especially important that immigrants learn what it means to live in a feminist society."

Solberg is clearly intrigued by proposals in Great Britain that would require immigrants to take an oath of citizenship and pass an exam dealing with local society.

The World Islamic Mission in Norway, claiming it doesn't understand Solberg's criticism, asked Solberg to explain what she means by "modernization," which she did on national radio on Tuesday.

Divorce, for example, must be more easily available for Muslim women and follow the laws of the land, she said. Pro-forma and forced marriages must be banned and women in general must be accorded equal rights under the law. Amber Khan of the World Islamic Mission in Norway claimed Imams brought to Norway are required to learn Norwegian and adapt to new cultural codes.

Soldiers can shoot Gazans spying on Netzarim

Soldiers stationed near the Gaza settlement of Netzarim may shoot to kill if they spot a Palestinian observing Israel Defense Forces activity via binoculars, according to new rules of engagement recently issued by the IDF for that area. The new rules are apparently a response to the attack on Netzarim two weeks ago, in which three IDF soldiers, including two women, were killed. The subsequent investigation revealed that the two terrorists, one each from Hamas and Islamic Jihad, had conducted lengthy observations of IDF activity in the area before the attack. Indeed, a senior Islamic Jihad official said this week that the organization gathered intelligence on IDF activity in the area for three months before the attack. That is also why, immediately after the attack, the IDF razed three multistory buildings that had apparently served the Palestinians as lookout posts.

Similar rules of engagement are in place in other areas of the Gaza Strip that the IDF defines as high-risk, and this week, soldiers killed two Palestinians who were spotted observing IDF activity - one near the Kisufim Junction and one at the Sufa Junction. It later emerged that massive bombs had been planted at both sites, and that the dead men had been there to report on the soldiers' movements so that the bombs could be set off at the optimal time.

After a new batch of reservists who arrived in Netzarim this week was briefed on the orders, one complained to his commanders that this practice seemed trigger-happy. When the order was not changed, the reservist complained to the Association for Civil Rights in Israel, and ACRI's legal advisor, Dan Yakir, sent a letter of protest to the IDF Judge Advocate General. Yakir charged that the new order is blatantly illegal, since it permits "killing people even if they constitute no apparent risk."

Sources in the IDF's Southern Command acknowledged that the new rules are different from those in effect in most of Gaza, which permit shooting to kill only if an armed Palestinian enters a special security zone and behaves in a way that indicates intent to carry out an attack. However, they said, the Netzarim rules are in force in other "major war zones" in the Gaza Strip. A senior army officer told Haaretz that "the new orders permit firing only at a terrorist who is observing, not at anyone holding a pair of binoculars. The soldiers have clear criteria for determining who is a terrorist."
