That was a strange remark by Jon Stewart. His impression was a little off there. It's never very good. He has the essence of it down, but not that smooth voice and always cool demeanor of Bush. Been watching a bunch of The Daily Show of late and after every clip of Bush Jon sort of hunches over and mocks the president by twisting his words around. His impression reminds me a little of the Grinch. He makes the president look like the Grinch, I mean.
What's interesting about the remark was that his impression was a little stereotyping of Jewish mannerisms and speech patterns. Like if the president were Jewish, that might be how he would come off in that particular speech, say if he were really trying to reiterate a point he was trying to make.
So Jon Stewart, who is a jew, makes an improvisation of Bush and immediately recognizes the jewishness of his improv. When normally he's just Jon Stewart doing a bad impression. Nobody, I mean nobody, bashes Bush like Jon Stewart. He and TDS writers are the best. Admittedly this president is a little too easy to pick apart, but still...
As for those poker players, well that's just more selling you know who and family down the river. Oh well, America's most prominent family must be paid homage EVERY FIVE FREAKIN' SECONDS!
