Parents need to be on the same page about race. They dont both need to be activists, but they need to have the same sense of healthy attatchment to their organic folk. Without that there will be no proper enracination of the child.

For example, couples who have different religious traditions - Buddhist and Christian, Protestant and Catholic - will find a generalized line to tell their kids and neither spouse will propagandize the kid in favor of his/her own side. Personally, I wouldn't place too much credence in the girl's views on "racism." Women are nowhere near as ironclad in their political and cultural (particularly the former) views as we are. As a rule, they can be molded on these subjects. Of course, that's not always the case. In addition, if after telling her your views, she isn't at least respectful to your ideological stance, then it probably is best to part ways amicably. The woman's character is much important than the affects of the force-fed multiculturalism she has - as with all of our youth - been deluged with.
