BERLIN (AFP) — A 56-year-old German living in Paraguay is seeking to become the legal father of 1,000 foreign children so they can have German nationality, education and social benefits, Der Speigel reports in its edition to appear on Monday.
Jurgen Hass, a former local leader of the liberal Free Democrats party, told the weekly magazine he intended to exploit grey areas in Germany's paternity law to do so.He said he had already legally recognized 300 children in Paraguay, Romania, Hungary, Moldavia, Russia, Ukraine and India.
Hass told Der Spiegel he was "playing" with Germany's 1998 paternity law, which allows men to legally recognise a child when the mother agrees and no other man claims to be the father.

What an asshole! He if is feeling so damn self-righteous then why doesn’t he pay for their education and social benefits himself, instead of shifting the financial burden onto his fellow countrymen?

This guy appears to be your garden variety self serving jerkoff that you find all too often in the Western world today. He wants to force feed primitive non White children to a White country and burden that White society to civilize them as he sits back and looks like he is some humanaitarian. I wouldn't care if he adopted 10,000 of these children, if he alone was taking care of them.

For those who do not know: the "Free Democrats party" is Germany's libertarian party.
Here the chairman of the FDP in the german state of Niedersachsen http://www.fdp-nds.de/ Maybe he was one of the 300 adopted children.

well germany was one of the first social welfare states to be created. I guess its the norm.

That is something that crossed my mind as well.
I think more than likely, though he is(or more correctly, wants to be known as)some do gooder, without actually planning on doing much himself.
