She is half-spic!

I always thought she looked much older than her character. Nonetheless, I find it funny the money-grubbing Jew Boss Hogg was always after that white family -- the Dukes!

Possibly white Mexican. Wouldn't be surprised if she's part AmerIndian though.

It's "them" against "us." It isn't an economic or social struggle. It isn't politics, religion, economics or anything else so complicated. It's as simple as cat versus mouse; as White versus Indians. It's tribe versus tribe.

I don't think that proves anything. Her mother could be a Criolle, which is a Mexican of Spanish descent.

You may have a point. I understand, in my limited reading, that 10 percent of Mexico's population is still, almost wholly European. But I am not one to stretch the imagination that often, due to her marrying Peter Lopez, in hopes of having white progeny.

(By the way, has anyone seen Kelly Ripa's husband, Mark Consuelos? That's sick, that such a beautiful girl married that mexcriment!)

You may have a point, but she was swarthy in complexion. Then again, to put the "times" into perspective, it was fashionable to have a tan back in the 1970s and early 1980s. Today, we see so many Hollywood actresses who are so pale, that they appear to avoid ever stepping outdoors into the sun.

Again, where do I find the edit button for typos? It makes me look foolish!

Momus, I thank you for your reply but clicking on the button you suggested only shows, "post a quick reply." I am not one to burden moderators to handily correct my half-baked, semi-literate posts.

But I do thank you for the telling me the option that I may(?) look forward to, as a "higher" member?

Above the quick reply in the lower right corner of the same box as your text there are two buttons; edit and quote.
Edit will bring up your text for correction. You can't correct a post title.

Use quote when you want to include the text of the person you reply to.

There's some Meso-American ancestry evidence in her face.

"These were no soft-bellied, conservative businessmen assembled for some Masonic mumbodumbo; no loudmouthed, beery red-necks letting off a little ritualized steam about "the goddam niggers"; no pious, frightened churchgoers whining for the guidance or protection of an anthropomorphic deity. These were real men, White men, men who were now one with me in spirit and consciousness as well as in blood." -- Earl Turner, The Turner Diaries

There's a lot of white blood in Mexico, mostly in the upper classes.
I've seen green eyed natural blondes in LA that couldn't speak a word of english.
In Mexico, I've seen blue eyed blondes, both male and female, they are rare .

The 'babes' you see on TV and the magazines are so touched up and images altered that you aren't seeing real people. Don't be deceived by images.

Like one Playboy Centerfold said , after seeing her pictures in Playboy , "That isn't me !"

( Playboy photos are heavily retouched, some of the best airbrush artists in the country work on the girls photos. They remove imperfections and enhance desired attributes. Even the 'inking' of the final print is controlled. You aren't seeing a real person, you are seeing an idealized image . If Playboy goes to these lengths, to enhance images, you can be sure that all other media does, too .)

For this thread I say, WHO CARES?

Is this 1981?

Barbara portrayed a perfect southern girl.

Hats off to her.
