Recently declassified British documents finger Israel itself as having a hand in the 1976 highjacking of an Air France jet by Arab terrorists.

The plane was forced to fly to Entebbe airport in Uganda. There, some 100 passengers (including many Israelis), were held hostage.

The Israelis launched what was to become one of the worlds classic military operations. 3 hostages, 20 Ugandans and the commander of the Israeli commando team died in the ensuing shoot out.

All is not as it seems however (your first clue is that the head of the commando team was the only military casualty.)

It now seems that Shin Bet (Israeli Military Intelligence) co-operated with the PFLP (Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine), in a joint strike against the PLO (Palestine Liberation Organisation).

Spreading paranoia in the ranks of the enemy is an old trick.
Remember that the next time someone starts accusing all and sundry of being an 'infiltrator', 'traitor', or 'red'.
