Not exactly true, two brown eyed people can have a blue eyed child if both had a parent who had Blue Eyes. The way it's settled easiest is by using a (B) for Brown as a marker, and (b) for blue. Take a blue eyed person and that's (bb), and a browneyed could be a (BB), or a (Bb) and still be brown eyed. A blue eyed person is a (bb).

So what you get in short answer is that the two blue eyed parents make another (bb) child. One brown eyed (BB) and a blue eyed (bb) would make a (Bb) brown eyed but a carrier of the blue eyed (b). One of each.

Now where it trips people up is right here. What if that child from a blue and a brown eyed couple ends up with a (Bb) brown eyed parent ? That mixed eyed person now has a B and a little b.

What if he or she marries another blue eyed (bb) person ? Depending on which they donate to the child out of the (Bb) person they would perhaps give up a (B) or a (b). If they did that the child made with a (bb) person could be another brown eyed (Bb) or a (bb) blue eyed. It could go on and on, that's why among whites we have the most variation of any other race. We are the most different from each other in some cases, but we still share the commonality of being White. This may also be why other races seem to look so much alike to us.

What if two brown eyed people matched up but both had a (bb) parent ? It is possible they could both give up a (b) and have another full powered (bb) baby. It is also they could match up and create another full powered (BB) baby.

That's correct. Blue is recessive to brown, so 2 blue eyed parents can have blue eyed children. If you have 2 brown eyed parents with recessive blue eyed genes there is a 50/50 chance of brown or blue eyed offspring. If one parent has recessive blue eyed genetics then there is a 25% chance of a blue eyed child and a 75% chance of a brown eyed child. It's basic Mendelian genetics. Green eyes, as I remember, can be recessive or dominant to blue.

However, I've noticed that quite a large percentage of western Europeans have brown eyes and dark hair. For example (and if I am wrong on this, please correct me) all four of the famous British rock band, the Beatles, had brown eyes and dark brown hair. And Ringo was the only one who was a Jew. John, Paul and George were clearly pure English with no non-white admixture. I've noticed this tendancy among a lot of British rock musicians. I think most of the members of the Rolling Stones also had dark eyes and hair, other than Brian Jones who died of drug and alcohol abuse.

I've also seen many Germans with brown eyes. And brown eyes are not that uncommon in Sweden and other Scandanavian countries.

So what gives? How does one explain all these brown-eyed white western Europeans? How would they test out on a DNA test? And therefore, if brown eyes were not uncommon among the English and Germanic settlers who came to America, how can we be so certain that brown eyes is a certain indicator of black or Indian blood among otherwise white Americans?

Brown is a long way from black. Black eyes are an oriental/semitic/hispanic/otherwise non-white designation. There isn't an Aryan alive with truly black eyes. Though the vast majority of the non-white world possesses black as coal eyes.

Brown eyes are not an indicator of non-whiteness. Black eyes are.

I once saw a man in Sweden who had pure blond hair and pure black eyes. He was the oddest looking man I ever laid eyes on. And maybe the ONLY white with truly black eyes.
