I can see why there was a total blackout on the details of this crime......... In the United States there is a term, "Americana" (as in > "a slice of") I wonder what a good comparable term would be for Canada? This seems like a real "Canadian moment" to me.

Homicide suspect arrested in Winnipeg

Murder suspect Aaron Howard was arrested without incident Thursday after turning himself in to an RCMP detachment in Manitoba.

Reached at his Ottawa home early Thursday morning, Mr. Howard's father, Paul Howard, applauded his son's decision to surrender. "I think it was a wise decision on his part," he said, declining further comment, saying he was too upset to speak.

Police suspected Mr. Howard may have fled to Winnipeg, even though a case of mistaken identity led Ottawa officers down a false trail for as many as four days in their search for the homicide suspect.
