Let's get serious about finding energy sources

Scarcity!
Exxon has been excoriated because the price of gasoline has reached $3 per gallon. Meanwhile, gold has soared to $600 per ounce, and speculators have made fortunes on escalating real-estate prices. Gold, land, petroleum: Scarcity!
Scarcity inspired Nazi scientists to convert coal into gasoline. But when petroleum became plentiful again after the war, coal-into-gasoline lost its appeal, although it could certainly help us through the transition period from fossil fuels to whatever science will eventually provide in its place.
The era of cheap energy is over, but we'd be wise to put corn back into cereal boxes and revive the German coal formula instead. For over 30 years, we've agonized over our need to import petroleum from remote and fundamentally hostile nations while emerging nations with huge populations began adding to the demand for oil, creating greater scarcity.
Tolerating high petroleum prices will be uncomfortable, but they will provide the inspiration for innovators to invest of themselves and their resources in the development of new sources of energy: the sun, the sea, the molten core.
Gasoline from highly subsidized corn squeezings isn't even a good short-term substitute. We need to get serious.

During the global boycott of South Africa , Sasol was formed as the state oil company to synthesize gasoline from coal . Sasol was successful .

Another jewish lie.
National socialists developed synthetic gasoline not because it was scarce, but because it would make the German economy independent from foreign imports. It was already developed in, I think, the early 1930s.

National socialists developed synthetic gasoline not because it was scarce, but because it would make the German economy independent from foreign imports.
That would fit in just fine , with the other economic goals of Germany.
Germany had very little foreign exchange which motivated them to find alternate solutions to imported items . Like concrete for hiways, instead of imported asphalt . Their system of barter , to avoid the kosher banks of NYC and London. Exchange German machinery for tropical fruits, cuts out the banker middleman and benefits both partners of the barter exchange .

Let's go find out what energy source all those sub-saharan niggras were using in those helicopters and space ships that they claim they were flying around -- back when white people were still in the stone age.

Itz_molecular is right. Hitler had a hard time getting the production of synthetic gasoline started because the cost of that was twice the cost of imported oil.
The economists failed to understand the national socialist principles of economy. The twice-as-expensive gasoline was still the better choice because the money spent on it would stay in Germany.
