Betty Snow, the principal at El Paseo Alternative Learning Center, and her colleague, teacher Kathy Talkington, drew gasps from the crowd at a recent Beaumont School District board meeting as they described conditions at the campus, according to The Press-Enterprise.

She went on to cite episodes where students have displayed disregard for authority, openly intimidating fellow students with threats like "I'll catch you on the outside" and "that's what snitches deserve," according to the newspaper.

At one one point, Talkington repeated some alleged profanity-laced student threats, making boardroom listeners visibly uncomfortable, the P-E reported.
