Nothing wrong with trailers, I have 10 acres up NE Washington State paid for with a trailer on it. It is my only other asset after this house, which I am getting out of with about $70k in my pocket after I pay off all my debt including credit cards. Might no be much to all you rich guys but it's a fair amount for me.

I've told the wife I'd be more than willing to do the same. There is no shame. There is more shame in being crushed by debt than living simply and happily.

Debt is rarely a good idea. Its too damn expensive. A 30 year loan at 6.25% for an initial 100k, will cost you 615/month, for 30 years, totalling 221,656.04.
The best con is the Interest only mortgage. I still can't believe the jew banker found anyone dumb enough to do this, oops I forgot niggers and mexican, that's why jews love em so much.
If you take out an interest only loan for 100,000, for 30 years. Your monthly payment is 416.67/month. After 30 years, you will have paid the jew banker, 150,001.20, and still owe 100,000 dollars.
In both cases the interest on the loan, was more then the original amount.

The sad thing is it costs as much to live in a mobile home park in my area as it does to pay a mortgage on a decent house. I'd rather live in a trailer or apartment to save $ but it doesn't make sense when I can have a lawn between me and the sheeple for the same cost.
I hear you though, my husband insisted we buy a house a year ago despite my protests we get a larger apartment and wait for the bottom out. He theorizes interest rates will go up to a point we wouldn't see a real savings anyway.
The only people who will truly benefit from this are, dare I say it? Mainly Jews and other elites who have the cash to buy properties out right and resell later, sort of like Germany after WW1.

We live on the WI/IL border. As far as I've seen prices in our area haven't ballooned like the costal regions. He may turn out to be right in the end, but for now I consider us renting the place. As I said earlier the sad reality is rent costs nearly the same as owning here. If the bottom falls out in the next couple years it's not as if we'd be losing 15 years of mortgage payments or anything.
Worst case scenario we're fortunate enough to have family in the area we can stay with - not that we want to live like that, but if it gets to bad we wont be the only ones doing it.
Ice Queen, prices are dropping all over out here, and it will do the same in your area, be patient. Da gubbamint has been screwing around with interest rates so long, they will go nowhere but up. That will depress housing prices.
Buying a house right now is fiscal suicide. Stay where you are, right now, and when the shit hits the fan, and it will. Take your money, and buy a nice lake front place, at the same price, in a few years, be patient grasshopper.

I also saw the crash happen out here in Kaleefornia, in the late 80's. Prices dropped about 50% out here, too.
