Mayfield has been charged with three counts each of solicitation for murder and conspiracy to commit murder. Police say Mayfield used his girlfriend, Vernita Johnson,
to communicate with Morris, while planning for Morris to kill two police detectives and a civilian witness.

Johnson, 25, and Morris face the same two charges as Mayfield. Johnson faces once count on each charge, and Morris faces two counts on each.
