160,000 Vote For Man Who Had Called For Prosecution Of Southern Poverty Law Center, Said Holocaust Was A Lie

Montgomery, Alabama -- White activist Larry Darby, who had called for the prosecution of the Southern Poverty Law Center and said that the Holocaust was a lie, won 160,114 votes in the Alabama democratic primary yesterday, 43% of the overall vote, to his opponent, Mobile County District Attorney John Tyson's 204,797 votes.
The campaign ended up much closer than the Jews, who had actively lobbied against and opposed Darby in the month prior to the election, had wanted.

During his campaign, Darby had said that the Holocaust was a fraud and had spoken to groups, nationally, like National Vanguard, attending a National Vanguard national meeting in New Jersey that drew twenty people, including Kevin Strom and David Duke.

Darby's comments had been widely reported in the Jewish-owned press just prior to the election along with stock-editorials calling on voters to reject him. Despite the assault, Darby put up a strong contest to his Democratic- Party-favoured opponent. His 43% showing demonstrated that white nationalist views are not outside of the mainstream.
