Homeless man brutally beaten in hate crime mob attack in Pennsylvania

If the races had been reversed, this would be a national news story.

Once upon a time there was a black homeless man in Florida, who was beaten to death for the fun of it by a group of white thugs. The murder received nationwide attention, and is routinely referenced in the national media years after it took place. An entire episode of the tv show Gangland was largely based on the attack.

The Southern Poverty Law Center still references it on a regular basis.

That deadly attack took place in 2003. Since then dozens of white homeless men have been brutally beaten in hate crime attacks by black perpetrators. Several have been beaten to death. None of them were major news stories. Most received minor local coverage only.
