Alexander Bronstein became a Member of the Board at SUAL Holding in 2003.

He worked at the Ministry for Forest Economy and Environment Protection in Estonia for 12 years until 1988, before taking executive positions in Estland-West, Handels GmbH, Shanton International LTD and Raznoimport Trading (UK) LTD.

From 1998 to 2000 he was the Head of Raznoimport (UK) LTD’s Representative Office in Eastern Europe.

From 1997 he held positions, consecutively, as a Member of the Board at Flora-Moscow Bank, Volkhov Aluminium, Pikalevo Alumina, Siasky CBK, Volgograd Aluminium, Metallurg and Kliuchevsky Ferroalloys.

He was born in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) and graduated from Tartu State University in 1976 in applied mathematics. He received his PhD in 1981.

Millionaire Alexander Bronstein has spent seven years and a rumoured 32 million pounds building his home close to Hampstead Heath.

But a string of problems with his British workmen has threatened to turn his plans into a disaster. At one point, the whole house was in danger of sliping down the hillit is being built on because of problems with the foundation.

Now the aluminum magnate from St. Petersburg has sacked all his UK builders-- and flown in a team of Germans to finish the job.

Mr. Brontsein, the director of a Russian metals company with 60,000 employees and an annual turnover of almost two billion pounds , bought the secluded two acre plot in Highgate in the late nineties.

...The project also pitted Mr. Bronstein against his neighbors, who have been complaining for years about the level of noise and disturbance they have to endure.
