Batman Blaine doing 'fine' says doctor

NEW YORK (AFP) — Real life Batman David Blaine is doing just fine half way through an attempt to hang upside down over New York's Central Park for three days, his doctor said Tuesday.

"Everything looks good, the blood pressure looks normal. He's doing very well considering that now it's been about 29 hours that he's been hanging upside down," Massimo Napolitano, the surgeon advising Blaine, told AFP.

"His vital signs are fine. He's in very good spirits. All his organs are working well," added Napolitano, chief of vascular surgery at Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey.

Blaine, 35, was hoisted up Monday over the park's Wollmann ice rink, and was to stay there, dangling by his heels from a wire, for 60 hours until late Wednesday.
