ILLEGALS. "VIRTUAL" HIRING, TWO PEOPLE ARRESTED IN TARANTO

(AGI) - Taranto, May 29 - Farmer Giovanni Morrone, 50, and tax consultant Sergio Catalano, 44, allegedly aided and abetted illegal immigration, mainly from Morocco, through false documents stating a hiring of these people in some farms in the province of Taranto. After almost 1 year of investigations, the Police arrested the two men, following an arrest warrent issued by Taranto DA judge for preliminary investigations Santella, upon request of the prosecutor, Putignano. The police found out that the employer's signatures had been falsified, and that some papers had been forwarded directly from the fax of a professional studio. During a search, the police found stamps of the company, the same as the ones found on the falsified papers, and some copies of hiring requests. According to the investigators, the 'legalisation' of each immigrant was paid 4000 euro. (AGI) -
