I am proud to be one of the “80 prominent journalists” cited in today’s New York Times, who signed a petition asking the Newspaper Association of America (NAA) to acknowledge that its predecessor organization “was wrong to turn its back on Jewish refugee journalists fleeing Hitler” and in turning its back on full coverage of the Holocaust.

My maternal grandparents survived the Holocaust, but most of my family on both sides was murdered by the Nazis. If American journalists, so bent on the “public’s right to know,” were as concerned about telling the truth, then, as they now are about showing pictures of hooded men, perhaps members of my family and millions of others might have been saved. We will never know.

As today’s New York Times reports:

In 1939, Prof. Carl J. Friedrich, a non-Jewish German refugee and Harvard government professor, had sought to address the American Newspaper Publishers Association, the precursor of the newspaper association, for 10 minutes about the plight of Jewish journalists who were seeking safe haven from Nazi persecution. But the association turned him down.

The petition I signed was organized by Dr. Rafael Medoff of the David S. Wyman Institute for Holocaust Studies. It cites research by Laurel Leff, an associate professor of journalism at Northeastern University. Her research documents the extensive, deliberate failure among American journalism schools and newspapers to provide safe haven for those persecuted by the Nazis and to cover what was going on then. She will address the NAA at its April meeting.

This is the usual jewish lie.

Quit smearing my people, Dirty Debbie.

The plaque at Auschwitz says 1.5 million were killed (a gross exaggeration; the real numbers, as recorded by Red Cross, was well under 100,000, the vast majority of which died from disease), down from 4 million. No change has been made in the 6 million figure. The vast majority of these six million are like Debbie’s family members: imaginary.

Quit lying, Dirty Debbie. You jews can’t survive the Internet!

The jews claim 6 million jews were murdered, 4m at Auschwitz, but the Christian Red Cross says this about Auschwitz:

While the American Red Cross has been providing tracing for victims of WWII and the Nazi regime since 1939, impetus for the creation of the center occurred in 1989 with the release of files on 130,000 people detained for forced labor and 46 death books containing 74,000 names from Auschwitz.

74,000!? How do you get from 74k to 4m? Sounds like jewish math to me.

You and your fellow jwes seem to have a not-so-little truth problem, Dirty Deb? Why is that?

Why are you asking the current members of the Newspaper Association of America to apologize for the actions of their predecessors? As a conservative, don’t you realize this perpetrates the Marxist doctrine of collective guilt and validates “legacy” politics? The same type of “legacy” politics that demands that we whites, who never owned slaves, pony up “reparations” for the so-called “legacy” of slavery. If you opposed Bill Clinton’s apology for slavery and Trent Lott’s apology for his remarks about Strom Thurmond, for the sake of consistency, you should oppose this also.

Besides, their apology will not bring back your family members who perished in the Holocaust. Rest assured the originators and primary perpetrators have long since been punished. Which leads me to question the vehemence of your response towards Alex Linder. How does disputing the numbers automatically make someone a “Nazi”? Why not ask Mr. Linder to put up his sources and let the people decide, in the spirit of the courageous colonial journalist John Peter Zenger? Haven’t we had enough of this divisive name-calling? Or does merely asking such questions make me a “Nazi”, too?

If you consider yourself a conservative, then Pat Buchanan was right. Conservatives and liberals, Republicans and Democrats are nothing more than two separate wings of the same bird of prey.
