“A listener sent me a clipping from the New York Times last month, the November 14 edition, and I just got around to reading it. It’s the obituary of a writer and Harvard professor, Dr Richard Marius. Marius had a pretty unremarkable career: a Southern Baptist divinity school graduate and student of the Reformation who wrote several very forgettable books and taught aspiring authors at Harvard how to write. We wouldn’t be interested in him, except for one detail: in 1995 he was fired as a speechwriter by Al Gore. The reason he was fired is that in a book review he had written three years earlier, which was published in The Harvard Magazine, he had criticized the way the Jews in Israel treat the Palestinians there: you know, torturing prisoners, collective punishment for the families of suspected activists, and so on.
Again, this criticism of the Israelis was not in a book written by Marius, but in his review of another author’s book, and book reviews are generally a bit more ephemeral and less weighty than the books themselves. But Marius’ review was published in The Harvard Magazine, and Jews, of course, scan very closely everything published anywhere by Harvard professors, so that they can keep their Gentile brethren at Harvard on the straight and narrow path of Political Correctness…”

Freeman Withdraws as Head of National Intelligence Council

March 11 (Bloomberg) — Charles Freeman, a former U.S. ambassador to Saudi Arabia under attack for his Middle Eastern and Chinese ties, withdrew from consideration as chairman of the National Intelligence Council because of what he called “distortions” and “falsehoods” about his record.
Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair, who named Freeman to the post, yesterday accepted the decision “with regret,” according to a statement from his office.
Freeman was in the final stages of getting security clearance to head the council, which helps put together National Intelligence Estimates about potential threats around the world and foreign policy issues for the president and head of intelligence services.
His withdrawal was the culmination of weeks of criticism from Republican and Democratic lawmakers and pro- Israel lobbyists who questioned Freeman’s objectivity on issues in the Middle East. Some lawmakers also questioned his views on China.
In a letter to supporters yesterday, Freeman said he withdrew because of a concerted effort by pro-Israel lobbyists to spread “libelous distortions” about his experience. “The tactics of the Israel Lobby plumb the depths of dishonor and indecency and include character assassination, selective misquotation, the willful distortion of the record, the fabrication of falsehoods, and an utter disregard for the truth,” Freeman wrote.
Lawmakers who opposed his appointment were unapologetic.
“His statements against Israel were way over the top and severely out of step with the administration,” Senator Charles Schumer, a New York Democrat, said in a statement after the withdrawal was announced….

Former Nazi camp guard charged 29,000 times

BERLIN (AP) – German prosecutors said Wednesday they have charged retired Ohio auto worker John Demjanjuk with more than 29,000 counts of accessory to murder for his time as a guard at the Nazis’ Sobibor death camp, and will seek his extradition from the U.S.
Demjanjuk (dem-YAHN’-yuk) is accused of participating in the murders while he was a guard at the Nazi camp in occupied Poland between March and September 1943.
“In this capacity, he participated in the accessory to murder of at least 29,000 people of the Jewish faith,” Munich prosecutors said in a statement.
The 88-year-old Demjanjuk, who lives in a Cleveland suburb, denies involvement.
Demjanjuk’s son, John Demjanjuk Jr., said in an e-mailed statement to the AP in Cleveland that his father is suffering from a blood disorder and acute kidney failure, and is not fit for international travel.
“Whatever the Germans decide to do, we will continue to fight for justice in this sad case as there has never been any credible evidence of his personal involvement in even one murder, let alone thousands,” Demjanjuk Jr. said. “He has never hurt anyone – before, during or after the war. He is a good person as his family, grandchildren, friends and neighbors have always maintained.”
Efraim Zuroff, the top Nazi hunter at Israel’s Simon Wiesenthal Center, said he was “very pleased that the German authorities have taken this step.”
“We hope that the process can be expedited to ensure that this Holocaust perpetrator will finally be appropriately punished,” Zuroff told the AP in a telephone interview from Jerusalem. “We’re on our way to a victory for justice today.”
A native of Ukraine, Demjanjuk emigrated to the U.S. in 1952 and gained citizenship in 1958.
In denying involvement in war crimes, he has said he served in the Soviet army and became a prisoner of war when he was captured by Germany in 1942.
Demjanjuk was extradited to Israel in 1986, when the U.S. Justice Department believed he was the sadistic Nazi guard known as Ivan the Terrible from the Treblinka death camp.
He spent seven years in custody before the Israeli high court freed him after receiving evidence that another Ukrainian was that Nazi guard.
Demjanjuk’s U.S. citizenship was restored in 1998, but the U.S. Justice Department renewed its case, saying he was another Nazi guard and could be deported for falsifying information on his entry and citizenship applications in the 1950s.
A December 2005 U.S. court ruling determined that he could be deported to his native Ukraine or to Germany or Poland, but Demjanjuk spent several years challenging that ruling.
Last year, the U.S. Supreme Court chose not to consider Demjanjuk’s appeal against deportation, clearing the way for the Justice Department’s Office of Special Investigations, which oversees cases against former Nazis, to seek his removal from the United States.
But it was unclear which country would take him – his native Ukraine, Poland or Germany.
Now, the Munich prosecutor’s office, which is handling the case because Demjanjuk spent time at a refugee camp in the area after the war, said it was working on the extradition request with the German government.
Justice Ministry spokeswoman Eva Schmierer said it was still not clear whether the U.S. would deport Demjanjuk, or whether it would be necessary to formally seek his extradition.
Munich prosecutors credited help from the U.S. Office of Special investigations in clarifying the validity of Nazi-era identity papers in enabling them to file charges against Demjanjuk.
They said Demjanjuk will be formally charged in front of a judge once he is extradited to Germany.

The Jews like to portray “anti semites” (Goyim who have the nerve to criticize Israel or their Jewish betters) as being trailer-park dwelling white trash (As if being poor is something to laugh at. Well, it is as long as the poor being laughed at are White). But what about Col. Lindbergh, Henry Ford, Richard Wagner, Ernie Hemmingway, Ben Franklin, Thomas Paine and Shakespeare? Were they all tobacco-chewin’ rednecks with a 7th grade education? I thought Jews and liberals said that”stereotyping” people was unfair?
The Jews also like to portray Moslem “terrorists” as stupid, wild-eyed fanatics, when in reality many of them are college-educated engineers or graduate students.
Well, I stereotype Jews as being crooked-nosed liars, cheats and swindlers, just like Bernie Madoff, Michael Milken, Marc Rich, Ivan Boesky and Andy Fastow. Take that, you Hebes!
