Classical Music, Part 1: No Noteworthy Female Composers

Why are there no female composers of note? You’d think, after all these years, that there would be a few. One expert said there are no female composers of note because “so few women wrote music.” True, if you’re talking about 1880. If you’re talking about 1990-onward, there are many who write music. Yet none have excelled at all. One woman opined that there are few girls taking up composing because all of the musical giants in history are misogynistic, racist, “dead White men” and the girls feel intimidated and “less confident” taking up composing as a result. Yeah, sure, excuses, excuses. (In the future, look for Western governments, in the name of equality, to force the issue, e.g., by requiring symphonies to play “X” number of musical pieces written by women per year. It’ll happen!).

Classical Music, Part 2: Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker Suite

The music from The Nutcracker (which is a ballet written in Russia in 1892) runs about 1 hour and 15 min. The “famous part” (called The Nutcracker Suite) doesn’t come along until about 45 minutes into the ballet — I guess Tchaikovsky wanted to save the best music for last [1]. Here’s the Suite:

    1. Twerk Fumes in the Kwanstain Says:

Cupid Stunts can’t compose anything other than tears and worthless emotions.
Once they get too old for their saggy T&A to get any attention they slink off to some $ugar Daddy’s shackup hideaway.
Don’t waste time worrying about the Kwanstain for it is already destroyed and there is nothing worth saving.

    2. SR Davidson Says:

Does it come as any surprise that females have zero musical composing ability? Just look at your average females’ taste in music and what do you find? Generic, autotuned assembly-line bubblegum pop production and sappy, modern country drivel, all with the lyrical and musical depth one would believe was composed by an exceptionally dull witted Down’s Syndrome child with a malignant brain tumor.

    3. Sri Sreggin Das, Mystic Yogi of the Kali Yuga Says:

Women are, quite simply, not romantics.

Women are supremely practical; she is looking for a mate who will shelter her as she cares for her brood. This is a woman’s best nature, even though the modern world has tried to change it.

However, it must be said that those men who have written such elegant symphonies are not what some people would consider to be “real men.”
They have the emotional depth and empathy that most men do not have.

    4. BroncoColorado Says:

On this one I’m with Sri Sreggin. There are many White women with the intellectual ability to create great music, but they don’t have the psychological need to express themselves in this manner. Women are the formers and molders of new life, any other forms of ‘creation’ are of little consequence in their minds.
Although there have been a few outstanding women novelists.

    5. Jill Mustang and Big Jim Jesus Says:

The Bible also says that Adam was not deceived but Eve was. Adam ate of the forbidden fruit because he did not want to be romantically without Eve.

    6. Thom McQueen Says:

Jill, it sound like Eve had Adam by the nads! Eat that apple, Dipstick, or I squeeze hard!

    7. Joe Says:

I think it has to do with the white male frontal lobe. Here is the embarkation of all ground-breaking creativity. Besides females, one might ask the same question about all of the other races in the world. There are billions of Asians, many of whom are top-notch classical performing artists. They LOVE Western Classical music. However, among those billions, there is not ONE whose creations even remotely compare with those of Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Schubert, Debussy, Wagner, Mozart, etc…

    8. Antagonistes Says:

Not one of those dog-eaters can compare to Brahms!

They are ants in a hive!

All alike! Very little variation! That is the strength, and the weakness, of Whites.
