Timothy Treadwell and Leftists

I watched the movie “Grizzly Man” (2005) again. The scenery is great (Alaska) and Werner Herzog is a good filmmaker (see his 1979 film “Nosferatu the Vampyre”).

I am struck by how Timothy Treadwell (1957-2003) was a classic leftist: he was childish, he thought he was important when he wasn’t, he thought he was a “savior” when he wasn’t, he lived in his own little fantasy world, he was paranoid, he “greatly exaggerated situations,” and so forth. He was a kid in an adult’s body. In other words, he was like the typical leftist that you would find on X. Some people say that Treadwell had balls, and I suppose he did, but was it really “balls” or just stupidity?
