Is this Australia's most honest man?

Jan 25, 2011 5:30am

A BATTLER who dreams of taking his wife on her first overseas holiday found $50,000 on a train, and handed it straight to police.

But Ghazi Adra could also be Australia's most honest man. He found about $50,530 in cash on a train, and handed it straight to police.

The money - $US100 notes stashed inside a cooler bag - would have been enough for Mr Adra, 68, to whisk his wife away on her dream trip.

But he insisted the cash had to be returned to its owner. All he wants is thanks.

My question to VNN-ers is, if you found $50,000 on the train, would you keep it or hand it back to the owner/police ? Give also your reasons.
