ABRAHAM & THE ROYAL FAMILY- BLOODLINE
The concept of the royal bloodline comes to the surface over and over when studying the life of Abraham and his family. It runs through the whole of the Old Testament linking Abraham with the expected "anointed one." Let us remember that Prophets, Kings, and Priests were anointed ones. Let us look into this aspect of Abraham's life and family with the intent of focusing upon Kingship.
Answer for yourself: So what is the fundamental meaning of religion in the three main Judaic religions, Judaism, Islam and Christianity which trace their origins to Abraham?
Answer for yourself: Are we to believe the orthodox ecclesiastical dogma that it is really a tale of a few shepherds, a carpenter and a tent maker which our religious traditions bring to us?
Answer for yourself: Are such common people able to transform the world and lives of millions of people through a history of 3,500 years or more or is there more to it than that?
Answer for yourself: Would the diaries of such common people and shepherds have been written and preserved through the long unstable epochs of the ancient world, when the written word itself was sacred, exclusive and very expensive?
Answer for yourself: Would a sheep herded and shepherd have had access to such sacred knowledge that would shape three world religions or are we missing something about these "shepherds?"
One would think not. A lonely shepherd on a barren hilltop does not set about rewriting the entire history of the world and, even if he did, nobody would believe or follow him. The truth is that the religions of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam have become divorced from their real roots. We have lost their real history and this is to be the first task in our investigation; to try and find the true social status of these key biblical patriarchs.
This process of obfuscation and covering up of the truth about Abraham and Jacob and the rest of his family has not been some unguided, random transition from a tale of important people to mere shepherds wandering the deserts. Such a cover-up appears to be more of a designed and orchestrated program by the religious authorities to divorce our daily usage religious beliefs from their real roots and there is good reason for them to do this. The majority of people are too busy in the secular world to worry too deeply about theology, so what the authorities wanted was a simple tale to give to simple people. The formula has worked as planned and the folk-tale of simple shepherds with a divine message has permeated every household throughout the western world, but the reality of the real story was very different from the simple story of Abraham who wandered the deserts the whole of his life; never inheriting the promises of God but yet waiting in faith for them to be realized in the hereafter.
THE ANCIENT TEXTS THAT DID NOT MAKE IT INTO OUR BIBLES...SO WHO WAS ABRAHAM REALLY?
Just looking at a few of the ancient texts shows the truth in this matter. Josephus, for instance, says of Abraham:
Pharaoh Necho, King of Egypt at the time, descended on this land with an immense army and seized Sarah the Princess, mother of our nation. And what did our forefather Abraham do? Did he avenge the insult by force of arms? Yet he had three hundred and eighteen officers under him, with unlimited manpower at his disposal! (Josephus, Jewish Wars, LCL, V. 379).
Answer for yourself: Did you hear that? Did you notice that first of all Sarah was Abraham's "PRINCESS" or "Queen" and that he had 318 OFFICERS at his disposal?
Brown-Driver_Briggs Hebrew Lexicon: Sarah:
8282 sarah- a princess, a noblewoman, a noble lady
Strong's Concordance:
8282 sarah (saw-raw'); feminine of 8269; a mistress, i.e. female noble: KJV-- lady, princess, queen.
Answer for yourself: Are you aware that this status was conferred upon Sarah only when her name was changed? What event caused her to have her name changed? Could it have been when she was purchased to be the wife of the Pharaoh Tuthmose III? And what does this if anything have to do with the birth of Isaac and her expulsion from Egypt with her Husband?
Answer for yourself: Don't you find it rather odd that a poor sheepherder would have at his disposal "318 Officers?" This means that Abraham had an extensive army. Could this be an intimation that he was possibly a "Hyskos"?
Answer for yourself: Don't you find it rather odd as well that such a sheepherder's wife would be called by Josephus "Princess" and "Queen" and carry the title of royalty?
Answer for yourself: What are me not told by Ezra and the other writers of the Jewish Scriptures following the release of the Jewish Nation from Persian Captivity about the truth concerning Abraham?
Some people may dismiss the works of Josephus as being unreliable fabrications, but time after time his writings can be verified within other texts. For instance the extract above is confirmed for us in the Bible, but the text there tries to obfuscate and cloud the inconsistency in Abraham's social status by calling the officers involved "servants."
Gen 14:14 14 And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them unto Dan. (KJV)
When Abraham heard that his brother was taken captive, he did not arm his trained servants, he unleased his army. Only a King has a Princess for a wife and has an army!
Answer for yourself: Could it be that Abraham was one of the invading Hyksos?
That these were really soldiers and not servants is confirmed in the Bible by the subsequent battle for Abraham's brother and the slaughter of all those in Chedorlaomer. Indeed, when looking at the two texts, it would appear that Josephus's version of the Old Testament holds the more reliable account than Ezra's. Josephus is not to be dismissed so lightly. If each officer under Abraham commanded just 50 men, then it would appear that Abraham had an army around 16,000 strong. This is not only quite a force for the era, but it also reinforces the idea that Abraham was more powerful than the texts like to admit. He was, indeed, powerful enough to conquer land in Lower Egypt and especially so after the marriage of his "wife-sister"Sarah to the regal throne of Egypt when her name was changed to whom she now represented: the Pharaoh's royal princess and queen. Abraham by default through Isaac, the possible son of the Pharaoh, now had ties to the legitimate throne of Egypt. This is where we find the later "Hebrew Pharaoh" connection of the ruling 18th Dynasty of Shepherd Kings which are portrayed as Hebrews like King David (Tuthmose III), King Solomon (Amenhotep III), Moses (Amenhotep IV, Akhenaten), Joshua (Tutankamun). I would ask that you don't swallow your tongue but to keep studying with us as the pieces will come together when you can see what has been concealed from our view for thousands of years which archeology today is restoring to the interested student of Biblical history.
PERSIA AND EGYPT: THE WAR THAT MADE NECESSITY OF COVERING UP THE TRUTH ABOUT ABRAHAM
We all know that Cyrus was responsible for the decree that allowed the captive Jewish nation to return home following Persia's conquering of Babylon. What we don't know are the real reasons for such a release.
Answer for yourself: Why would the writer of this text, whom we know was Ezra in the 5th century B.C.E., so alter the historical record in order to distort and hide the real identity of Abraham and his family that would ultimately produce the "Jewish race"? Why would he write these texts and pass off Abraham as a poor "shepherd" and not a King possessing such an vast army? THINK!
Answerfor yourself: Was Ezra aware of the true identity of Abraham, but since being a member of the court of Cyrus, thought better than to reveal the true identity of Abraham to the returning exiles?
Answer for yourself: Could the military conditions existing between Persia and Egypt at the time possibly be the impetus for hiding from the returning Jewish exiles not only the true identity of Abraham, which archeology and Egyptian records today reveal was a Hyskos Pharaoh, but hiding as well the true origin of the Jewish people as originating from the intermarriage of Egyptians and Semites?
We saw in a prior article the role that Ezra and Nehemiah, both employed by the court of Cyrus, had a huge role in the return of the Jewish nation back to Israel. It would be primarily Ezra who will be responsible for the re-writing of the Jewish people's history both before and following their return to Israel; and this would be done from a pro-Persian viewpoint. What we don't know is why Ezra desired to cover-up the identities of these Patriarchs as he so does. But today with the benefit of archeology and the presentation of such information to a world that has access to such information today via books and the internet we can now see clearly the motives of Ezra. Since Persia had strained relations with Egypt at the time and would so go to war with Egypt soon after the Jewish nations' return to Palestine we clearly see that it behooved Persian interests to use the Jewish nation for their own military purposes and put them back into the fertile cresent as a "buffer" military colony to protect Persia from any Egyptian military advance. The Jewish nation would be indoctrinated in Persian religion and serve as an outpost between Egypt and Persia. In so doing it became necessary if such a plan was to work for Persia to cover up any Egyptian link between the Jewish people and the Egyptians who were their biological parent; especially the Egyptian blood line that ran through their veins. This knowledge had been lost to the common people in that day. The Priests of Persia knew this but understand a captive people who grew up in Babylon and Persia devoid of their true religious heritage and "religious texts" would no longer possess such information. So we find it rather easy for Ezra to "rewrite" the Jewish history and change important aspects concerning the Patriarchs; like their true identity which modern scholarship and archeology today shows were Hebrew Pharaohs. This would be necessary you see if Persia was to count upon the Jewish nation being allies with them and not with Egypt.
The books of Ezra, like Nehemiah, is the work of the Chronicler and narrates the history of the Jews from 539 B.C.E. to 458 B.C.E. It is important to note that in 539 B.C.E. we have the decree of Cyrus to release the Jews and send them home. This was a strategic move on Cyrus' part in order to create a "buffer" colony of resettled Jews between Persia and Egypt with whom Persia would, in 525 B.C.E., wage war. Cambyses of Persia wages war and conquers Egypt 14 years after resetting the Jewish people in Palestine. One could say that almost simultaneous to the decree of the Persian king Cyrus permitting the Jews to return to Palestine from captivity under the leadership of Sheshbazzar we have Persia waging war with Egypt. Now we clearly see why Ezra, in re-writing the Jewish history and religious writings of the Jewish nation goes to great links to cover-up the Patriarch's link with Egypt and their positions as Pharaohs.
This will become abundantly clear in the forthcoming articles in which we will look deeper into this Egypt-Jewish connection.
Answer for yourself: Since we know that Ezra will re-write the Jewish Scriptures following the release of the Jewish people then is it any wonder that the true identity of Abraham being a King, a Hyskos Shepherd King-Pharaoh of Egypt, was dropped from the historical record if any allegiance by the Jews could be expected by Persia?
It should not take a lot of imagination to see why the Kingship of Abraham was deleted from the text along with the mention of Sarah being a "Princess" and "Queen". Later we find men like Josephus who recovers this information and he was not alone. Likewise it should not take a lot of imagination now to see why Abraham's 318 "officers" were changed to "servants." The Egyptian identity of the Patriarch Abraham has to be concealed by Ezra in order for the Jewish nation to not look to Egypt as their home and parentage after being returned to Palestine. Ezra and Cyrus sure did not want the Jewish nation looking to an Egyptian Moses and Egyptian faith as the foundation for this new nation; this new nation would be established on Persian influences and Persian religion and so it was and had to be if Persia was to use these returning "Hyksos children" as a buffer against Egypt to whom they were at war. Literally Persia was soon to be at war with their Egyptian parents and it was necessary to keep the true identity of these returning "shepherds" from them if Persia expected aid, friendship, and access to the land bridge known as the "fertile cresent" and "levant".
Josephus records for time immemorial the truth about Abraham but as we will see that is not the only proof that Abraham was a Pharaoh of Lower Egypt. More on that later when we deal with Abraham in more depth. But a short note about Joseph before we go.
REMEMBER JOSEPH?
In a similar vein the Bible also says of a later character, Joseph:
And [pharaoh] made [Joseph] to ride in the second chariot which he had. And they cried before him. Bow the knee: and [pharaoh] made [Joseph] ruler of all the land of Egypt (Gen. 41:43)
The historian Manetho, equally upbeat about Joseph's position in Egypt, says:
it was in their time that Joseph appears to have ruled in Egypt (Manetho, LCL, p. 97)
Answer for yourself: So what are we to make of this? Do we later find the mixing of the Hebrew bloodline once again with Egyptian royalty when Joseph marries the daughter of the Priest of On (Heliopolis) and will this marriage ultimately leads to the Hebrew Pharaohs of the 18th Dynasty? It sure will. It began with Isaac and continues through Joseph culminating with King David (Tuthmose III), King Solomon (Amenhotep III), Moses (Amenhotep IV, Akhenaten), and Joshua (Tutankamun).
The religious authorities of which we are familiar in Judeo-Christianity say that these men were nearly beggars in the streets; poor farmers grazing a few miserable sheep in the wastelands of the Negev desert. That is the version we got from Ezra. The Egyptian texts, and the Talmud however, say that they were powerful men and rulers of vast nations. Joseph was the chief vizier to the pharaoh of Egypt and therefore the second most powerful man in the world after him. Here was a man who controlled the lives of an entire nation, one that was the most powerful in the world at the time. Abraham was also not a poor shepherd, of that we can be certain. He was the leader of an army of "unlimited manpower", an army with three hundred and eighteen officers. Nevertheless the religious authorities try to infer in the Bible that both patriarchs were just poor shepherds!
WHAT IS THIS ABOUT SHEPHERDS? ARE WE MISSING SOMETHING?
Deception and cover-up never seem to cease. There is always truth behind every subterfuge and we find the same here with the idea that Abraham was only a poor "shepherd."
Answer for yourself: Why? Is there something behind this word "shepherd" that might be a code-word for something that we are missing? Are we possibly led astray by the word "shepherd" when something more magnificent and "religious" might be meant that was knowledge only for the Priesthoods and not the laity?
Answer for yourself: There would appear to be large dichotomy in the texts: just what is the truth between these two disparate positions?
Answer for yourself: Moreover, if the biblical patriarchs were, indeed, powerful men, what is the purpose of this obfuscation by religious authorities? The inescapable conclusion from such discrepancies is that there has been a cover-up at some point in our history. Nobody in their right mind would turn heroes from the position of kings and chief viziers into poor shepherds tending their flocks, if there were not something to hide.
Answer for yourself: But what is being hidden? Is there a religious significance to Abraham being a "shepherd?"
Well let us continue our study in the next article in this series as we unravel the hidden mystery behind Abraham.
