I pay a lot of attention to currencies and commodities, but I know squat about stocks. I know AIG is supposed to be the next big splat for the economy. AIG closed at $3.75 today, and since closing has dropped under $2.00 on after market trading.

Does any one have any idea how long the agony for AIG can play out? A day? A week? I've got no idea.

I think the options are...

1. Bankruptcy
2. Another corporation buys them
3. The government lends them money enough to stay afloat. (That would be us. No more microbrews for Mikey.)

So far it sounds like 2 and 3 are not too likely. I'd really like to know when I can watch the next round of fireworks. This is getting kind of fun. Anyone have any idea how long AIG can drag this out?

Mike

Pity we can't edit thread names. This should be AIG, not Aig.
