Does anyone here own any black powder revolvers? Someone posted a link to Cabela's and got me interested in these firearms. This link will take you to the Cabela page with all of their black powder revolvers listed.

I have an interest in the Confederate arms as I'm an unreconstructed Confederate myself. The 1851 Confederate Navy .44 caliber revolver is priced nicely. But I'm not sure if this is the best expenditure of funds.

It's my belief that a black powder revolver might be just the ticket in hard times or at least provide another article of survival gear when it might be needed the most. And .44 caliber to boot. I haven't researched this aspect of black powder but maybe they don't have the ballistic finger print that modern pistols and firearms have today? This could be a huge advantage.
