I can remember when I was growing up we had a dog that absolutely hated blacks. If one walked by the yard or got close to our car, the hair would stand up on his back and he would bare a full set of teeth. My elderly very prim and proper Southern lady next door neighbor said this was because the nigras smelled a peculiar way and the dog could pick up on that.
