Now you can expect the U.S. to become more involved with matters concerning Pakistan, since “democracy” seems even less likely for that country. Of importance to neoconservatives is that Pakistan is a nuclear-armed, Muslim nation located not far from Israel, and it borders Iran. (It’s also where Jewish journalist Daniel Pearl was executed in 2002):
