Anyone else experiencing gremlins with the board? I have no “Edit” button on my posts, and every time I try and access my “Thread Subscriptions” or “Show all subscribed threads” I get a message saying I’ve been banned. However, I can still post.

I don’t think I’ve been banned, so what’s the deal? I assume it’s a glitch in the software or something.

Thanks

Same here: I have no "Edit" button on my posting site. Also, I have no "pasting buttons" either, but rather must paste images using the URL instead, which is more time consuming.

This is James West speaking. I know you're out there, moderators. Undo the ban, man. Linder needs me for his next cover, and I'm the only one who can do it right.

Try posting at least 10 alphabetical letters in the Opp or Nutzpah forum @ each posting until you acquire 100 posts total. That way you'll be senior members and will be entitled to an edit button and full posting privileges

I can’t copy quotes amongst other things. I have also been experiencing the same problems on SF and others.

For some reason, I have to log back in every so many minutes...

I've noticed the VNN board sometimes doesn't refresh when I visit lately, but that may be my computer settings.

Also, I have terrible B.O. What is causing this?

I've experienced the same problems when I log in from a sub-forum. However, I don't experience this problem when I log in from the Main Forum Page.

A defensive measure I use is that when I'm done constructing a post, I copy it to the clipboard before I either preview or send it. That way if I get bumped off, I don't have to reconstruct it after I log back on.

Also, I don't have access to private messages. There's no link. Is there a setting I have turned off?

Execute the following sequence:

1) Ensure you are logged on.

2) Click on "User CP" (the leftmost choice on the option line)

3) Under "Settings and Options", click "Edit Options".

4) Scroll down to "Messaging and Notification".

5) Under "Private Messaging", ensure that "Enable Private Messaging" has a check mark. If not, click the box to enter a check mark. This is all you need to do to enable basic private message capability. The other options are just bells and whistles.

6) Most important - scroll down to the bottom and click on "Save Changes".

This should work.

I don't even have a "Private Messaging" user interface.

And I keep getting this when I click to see subscribed threads:

You have been banned for the following reason:
None

Date the ban will be lifted: Never

Though, I am not banned.
