I was searching for a more reliable estimate of european population living in Brazil. Official figures give the totally unrealistic figure of 50% (!), based on self-identification. Turns out these so-called "whites'" male line is 90% European, while a staggering 40% in their femela line comes from Europe. This means that, on average, Brazil's whites are technically quadroons.
