Marcey Odessa White, 36, and Jermaine Lamont Montgomery, 34, who had local ties to Hampton Roads, were arrested at a department store in Franklin and charged in connection with an abduction, carjacking and murder of Yong Hui Zhang, a 24-year-old food delivery driver in Fredericksburg.

Each has been charged with abduction, carjacking, credit card theft and three counts of conspiracy. Homicide charges are pending.

According to the police report, Zhang disappeared after he went to make a delivery to an address that police later determined to be a vacant apartment.

Detectives found a large amount of blood at that location. Zhang was discovered at about 1 a.m. July 6, 2008, near his missing 2004 Nissan Sentra in a remote stretch of Sussex County.
