According to one press report one of the daughters was in the home around 3pm the day of the murder and did not see her father or grandmother. That's odd because both lawyer Lefkow and his mother-in-law are reported to be semi-invalids/crippled. I wonder where they were at the time...out running around the neighborhood???

I am writing to publicly thank members of law enforcement for the protection they afforded me and my family when I became the target of crazed and potentially violent protesters who dislike my talk radio show.

Specifically, I wish to thank Chief Anthony Busacco and the entire North Bergen Police Department whose professionalism, courtesy and efficiency was spectacular. I am also very grateful to the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office, The Hudson County Sheriff's Department, the New Jersey State Police Central Security Team and the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force for the multi-layered security each agency provided during this potentially dangerous situation over the past few weeks.

Every so often, a public figure such as myself becomes the target of wild-eyed fanatics who feel that anyone who disagrees with their world view must be silenced. The law enforcement agencies mentioned above protected my Constitutional rights and protected my family and property from such fanatics. For their help, I will be forever grateful.

You do not have to consent to a warrantless search of your home or property. Don't.

If they come with a search warrant, ask to see it. Read it. Then say "I do NOT consent to a search." It is important you utter these words because once you utter these words, they are relying solely on the warrant itself to search. If, at a later date, the warrant is ruled invalid, nothing seized in the search can be used against you because the cops can never say, "he let us in and thus consented to our search."

If you are taken into custody, request an lawyer immediately and say ABSOLUTELY NOTHING until the lawyer arrives.

It’s not uncommon for young girls who have been victims of repeated rapes at the hands of their fathers to repress these memories. And when they become adults, it is possible for a stressful event in their life to suddenly awaken these memories and cause them to experience a psychotic episode. Many times these psychotic episodes can result in violence that will cause the deaths of those responsible for the early childhood trauma.

There have been many instances where a grown daughter will shoot her formerly abusive father as well as other adult family members who knew of the abuse and chose to ignore it.

This scenario is becoming all too common in today’s world and most typically seen in families that would be considered very active in their churches, as the shame would be greatly amplified by that association.

Police and press need to pursue all viable suspects and not look for convenient scapegoats.
