I have found a synagogue nearby and may be meeting with the rabbi regarding the possibility of conversion. I have not initiated contact, as it is best to look before one leaps. I am familiar with the procedure, it does not look all that onerous, although Odin forbid I change my name to 'Ari'. Based upon their website, they are a liberal synagogue, though they do provide studies in Hebrew nonetheless. I shall certainly pass along any such information gleaned from this enclave of chosenites, as they are hyper-organised, implicit is the flaw that infiltration in a small part may yield great information. If nothing else, I would fit in just fine since we both like shiskas. :D

Now then, as I am not an expert on the jew, what should I be looking for exactly? In addition, any advice is welcome, as I may need a cover story besides 'I studied Greek, poked around the Septuagint, and had an awakening.' Odds are that will not work unless the rabbi in question is Sephardic (ha ha).

Please direct all admonishment, flaming, and other such nonsense to the O'banana thread in Nutzpah, or somewhere else.
