I have just posted my comment under the name `A Lord`.

Why should the `holocaust` be the only aspect of world history that should not be openly debated by both historians and laymen alike?
Why should anyone fear debate over this issue?
If the received history of the holocaust is water-tight and accurate why fear debate?
Why feel the need to imprison an elderly historian in a foreign prison, cutting him off from his young daughter for remarks that he allegedly made 17 years previously?
How does this differ from the tactics of the inquistion?
Whatever happened to the right to freedom of opinion and expression as enshrined in article 19 of the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights?
"Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers."
There have been many other `holocausts` throughout human history, one of the biggest being the systematic murder of millions of people after 1945 because they were of German ethnicity living in the old eastern territories,forced to leave their ancient homelands, dying en route of starvation and exposure to the elememts. Why is this part of history ignored. Are the lives of innocent German men, women and children of lesser value?

"Most of my family perished in the Holocaust. I have only been able to find two families from my family that were identified by the Nazis as going to the Belzec Concentration Camp. They weren't even given a proper burial. Their bones are still visible lying on the ground.

The rest either were shot in the back of their heads and buried in mass graves or moved to the United States.
