David Irving replies:
Hitler's Table Talk is the product of his lunch- and supper-time conversations in his private circle from 1941 to 1944. The transcripts are genuine. (Ignore the 1945 "transcripts" published by Trevor-Roper in the 1950s as Hitler's Last Testament -- they are fake).
The Table Talks' content is more important in my view than Hitler's Mein Kampf, and possibly even more than his Zweites Buch (1928). It is unadulterated Hitler. He expatiates on virtually every subject under the sun, while his generals and private staff sit patiently and listen, or pretend to listen, to the monologues.

David Irving is right. Skip the comments and read what Hitler said.
Note especially his comments about America. If America would be ruled according to Hitler's principles, it would be heaven compared to Dubya's hell.
A man who is dead for more than 61 years could now rule America far better than an elected president would. Makes you think whether Hitler was such a wise man or whether Bush is such an idiot. Probably both.

I agree a perfect translation of the real version would be even better. But what I'm reading now I like immensely.

You just reminded me of something...I actually bought Mr. Irving's copy from him.
I have to look around for it, I haven't seen it in a long time. I'm sure I asked him to sign it when I bought it from him. He signed my first edirion of "The Destruction Of Dresden" for me. One helluva nice guy Mr. Irving is.
I hope he comes out swinging! :box:

It’s interesting that both of those articles attempt to prove Mr. Hitler was a Christian.The thing is, we don’t need the Table Talk to know that he was not a true believer in Christianity.

Both articles mention that Genoud failed to dupe Irving with Hitler’s Last Testament.
But neither article mentions Irving’s praise for the Table Talk.

I'm reading the Table Talks now and AH admired the person Jesus Christ whom he considered Aryan, but he detested the jew Paul and most of the practices and people of the Church (though not all).
