Jewish intellectual and political movements are a powerful force in Western societies. ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Kevin MacDonald, Professor of Psychology at California State UniversityLong Beach, holds a Master’s degree in evolutionary biology and a Ph.D. in Biobehavioral Sciences from the University of Connecticut. He continued developmental research during a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Illinois. Since assuming his position at California State University—Long Beach, Dr. MacDonald’s research has focused on developing evolutionary perspectives in developmental psychology and personality theory, the origins and maintenance of monogamous marriage in Western Europe, and ethnic relations (human group evolutionary strategies). He is the author of more than 100 scholarly papers and reviews, including articles in Politics and the Life Sciences, Ethology and Sociobiology,and the Journal of Social and Biological Structures. Dr. MacDonald is the former editor of the journal Population and Environment and the author or editor of eight books, including Social and Personality Development: An Evolutionary Synthesis (1988), Sociobiological Perspectives on Human Development (ed., 1988), Parent-Child Play (1993), and Evolutionary Perspectives on Human Development (ed. with Robert Burgess, 2nd ed., 2004). Dr. MacDonald serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of The Occidental Quarterly.
