Ending Gas Appliances: It's All About Control

Re: the "phasing out" of gas appliances due to leftist/Green Marxist political pressure:

The main word for all types of leftism is "control." Control what? Everything. Leftists are control freaks.

Consider a gas appliance: to render it inoperable, the local gas man (ok, woman these days) has to come out to your house and turn off the gas, either at the appliance itself, or, all the gas, from behind your house: it's a 90-degree valve. Just needs a wrench to turn it. If needed, in an emergency (like freezing weather), you could turn the gas back on after the gas man leaves.

But with all-electric appliances, the powers-that-be can permanently "kill" everything in your house from 30 miles away. Everything. Just by flipping a switch or using a computer keyboard.

Mechanical voice: "We're sorry, but your monthly Carbon Footprint allotment is 30 nano-particles per million. Our computer shows that your home is now at 39 nano-particles per million. Your electrical power will be turned off tomorrow morning at 9:00 AM."
