I'm posting this as a general discussion of Fidel Castro's racial identity and his history regarding racism. I am mostly ignorant of the Cuban situation and want others opinion on Castro and his history.

What made me interested is viewing some photos of the dictator and noticing that he looks like a Spanish White man. Then I looked at his wiki and it claims he is descended from two Galician (Spanish) immigrants.

Then I did a search for "Fidel Castro" and "racist" and found several articles claiming that he is a White racist.

Castro has institutionalized racism in the country, preferring the lighter-skinned Cubans of Spanish descent over those with black African lineage. Racism has been suggested as one of many elements in Castro’s dislike of Batista, who had significant black ancestry. Moreover, Castro has routinely attacked and imprisoned homosexuals.

I found this very interesting. Knowing little about Cuba, I did some rudimentary research and found that it has a substantial White population.

mulatto 51%, white 37%, black 11%, Chinese 1%

So many of them are mixed with the bottom of the barrel (niggers) but there's a large number considered White. Not sure what that means to them. Do you know any Cuban Whites? Do you consider them White?

Too often I find that Spanish speakers are instantly branded as mixed race indians/niggers, yet in reality there appears to be millions of unmixed Spanish speaking Whites all over Cuba, Mexico, and South America. So should White patriots reach out to them? Should we distinguish between White Spanish and muddy mixed race people? Do White Spanish speakers identify more with Europe or the muds?
