(I know this isn't necessarily the section for this but I'm hoping this can get more attention here. This has probably already been discussed somewhere but let's put some thought into it here because "fitness" doesn't seem to be a huge part of WNism or what have you.)

You all know the almost mythical scenario. Economic collapse or false flag terrorism or something else that sets of a chain reaction of looted stores, rampaging negroes etc etc. We all know the deal. Storing guns/ammo and food/water are obvious but what about the fitness aspect of it?

Bodybuilding/powerlifting are a good start but probably not the whole answer here. I imagine being big and strong would be a help in a random street encounter with a nigger thug but if you had to haul ass somewhere without your car or just generally be active for long periods of time, all the extra weight/muscle may bog you down, interfere with stamina and just plain require a lot of calories/protein to maintain. Would be shitty in a situation of limited supplies, especially if you're used to shoving down lots of food.

On the other you have lanky marathoners which, once again, is probably a step in the right direction from being a fat slob but for this particular situation it may not be completely right either. Too much loss in strength/muscle with overly long distance running.

So I'm thinking a combination of some kind of the two is probably in order. This all of course is purely hypothetical because who truly knows how things could go.

In essence being able to handle your own bodyweight plus some weighted work. Dips, pullups/chinups, pushups, bench pressing, overhead pressing and bent-over rows. Both high rep stuff with the bodyweight exercises for high reps for strength endurance and weighted low rep stuff (5 reps or so) with the barbell/dumbbell stuff.

Lower body would probably be heavily aimed at endurance and some strength endurance and not so much on how big of a weight you can squat. But not OVERLY crazy with it. Being able to run 2-3 miles and take a long (5+ miles) are probably good abilities to have. Throwing in some sprinting, jump roping and biking would probably be good.

In one of the broadcasts that Faust did he mentioned to take a day where you actually eat nothing but some of your older stored food so you're prepared for the taste. I think that may not be a bad idea. In fact I think it may even be beneficial to just take a day off completely and don't eat anything at all or very little. Just water and maybe some coffee. Just so you start getting used to the practice of not always having food around.

What are your guys' thoughts? There's got to be some former or current military people who would know about something like this or just those smart enough in general about this curious subject.
