Indianapolis Church Begins Ad Campaign Urging Tolerance for Gay People
May 31, 2006 09:19 AM
A gay-friendly Indianapolis church has begun an advertising campaign that ask whether Jesus would discriminate against gay people.
The $55,000 campaign by the Jesus Metropolitan Community Church includes yard signs, bumper stickers and newspaper ads.
Church members hope the ads will spark a conversation about homosexuality, and they are also planning a town hall meeting on gays and the Bible.
Senior Pastor Reverend Jeff Miner says the Bible shouldn't be used to discriminate.
Some conservatives, however, say it's clear that sexual relations are condemned by the Bible unless they involve one man and one woman married to each other.

LEviticus 20:13, King James Version:
If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
I want a Christian to read that and tell me how Jesus loves queers.
All across the nation,
Such a strange vibration,
People in motion.
There's a whole generation,
With a new explanation,
People in motion, people in motion!
For those who come to San Francisco,
Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair,
And if you come to San Francisco
Summertime will be a love-in there.
I have made the Westboro Baptist Church (Phelp's Church) aware of this campaign.:box:
the bible says, the sexual sinner recieves the penalty of his sin in his flesh.
In other words, aids is their punishment, that and their infirmities and std's, and their basic wasting of their bodies.
So, I wouldn't bother with them..UNLESS THEY'RE PREACHING IT AND TEACHING IT AS A WAY OF LIFE, which they are, of course.
Hope Mr. Phelps decides to take these fags on instead of picketing funerals. While I am 100% opposed to Bush and the war in Iraq, I think it is truly pointless and in poor taste to protest at some poor GIs funeral. I'd be willing to bet that most of the soldiers oppose the Iraq war. Look at the retention rates in the military. Those folks are voting with their feet!
Yeah that's what I was thinking. This Phelps guy with his creepy crowd goes around heckling poor ignorant families from rural areas burying their dead son. What a bunch of heroes. If he is so anti-fag, why doesn't he go after the big, well-monied fag groups instead?
