Youth deer season opened last weekend and I've been in the woods with my yewts. We set out a couple of game cameras and this is what we've been coming up with.

We've got a few days left yet in turkey season and hopefully one or two of these ladies will be going in the freezer:

Coon: The other dark meat.

Got this one in the live trap. I can't stand the meat but a coonskin cap is nice and the meat will go to an old man I know who considers them a delicacy.

Smallish on the deer. Only doe and button bucks seen so far. Haven't shot one yet because they're only coming out close to midnight. But as the weather gets colder they'll start moving more often and earlier.
